BodyGives information about the main body of the costume. If reviewing a separate set of pants/legs or torso, the answers would also go in this section.
The kigu fits wonderfully! Its tight at the ankles and writs so the arms dont flat around, and loose in the body, just like it should be!
There have been NO breaks, rips, tears, loose seams or anything over the whole kigu, even with a lot of wear.
The inside is not lined, so you can see the hems and seams if you look inside, but as I said, its put together well, so nothing has come undone, and it is still super comfy.
You cant see any open seams or sewing from the outside.
The symmetry is almost perfect. There are just a few areas where the markings and seams dont match up perfectly, but they are so small that it dosnt even bother me.
There is ONE issue with where the back markings come over the shoulder and onto the sleeve. As you can see in the image, from the front view the marking is on the middle of my upper arm, when it should be coming over my shoulder and onto the collar bone. It seems as tho it was just a mix up when making the pattern.
It would be an easy fix tho, so Im not really worried about it, and no one has pointed it out in all the times I have worn it.
Rather than fur, since this was fleece made, I will say the fabric they used is amazingly soft! Its not pilling or getting worn out yet, as some fleece would do.
The colors are literally perfect. They match my sona to a T!
The cream, browns, and blue are a perfect match.
The tail on the kigu is maybe a little low? But it dosnt get in the way, the markings match perfectly to his design, and its lightweight but durable.
I have sat on, stepped on, flopped and wagged that thing around, and not a single seam is out of place.
The hood is my favorite part. I told them to pick a fabric for the inside that was native and would pop, and it is the one thing that people comment on the MOST when they see my kigu.
The face it sewn on perfectly, the ears are durable, even if pulled on, and the hood is super big and comfy.
OverallHow satisfied the reviewer is with the overall buying experience, including their interactions with the maker and the resulting final product.
Other than the arm marking/back markings not matching up as it wraps around to the front.
I was scared of having something of Shilo made, since Im so picky about him, but they worked with me and my refs and did a great job.
I think as a note, they could try to line the inside of the kigu for future projects, but even if they dont, the seams are all holding up just fine.
To add tho- the wrists were a bit tight when I got him, and i couldnt push the sleeves up my arms to get them out of the way. After a few times of wearing him, the wrists stretched out just a bit.
But I would probably suggest maybe elastic in the wrists and ankles later on.
They kept things professional, even though me and Bee know each other personally. They were straight forward with their expectations of me as a customer, and laid out their ToS and rules so I could understand fully.
As I said, they delivered him to me personally, which was awesome cause I got to open my kigu in front of the makers!
I was put on a payment plan, so they didnt start work until I had him fully paid off. After he was paid, it took them just a little while to get started on him, because other projects came before mine, since I was at the back of the queue for my payment plan.
However once work started, I think they finished him within a month, if not a shorter time.
All around, just a good experience.
Nothing to complain about at all~
