Wear Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to wear with regard to comfort, fit, material quality, etc.

Are you satisfied with how it fits you? Is it too tight or loose? Does anything poke you, stab you, make it uncomfortable to wear? Is it lined comfortably? The head fits perfectly fine, it isn’t tight or loose and allows room for me to breath, nothing in the head pokes, or stabs or rubs me at all, the lining is well done, no stuffing or foam sticking out anywhere.

How is the ventilation? Can you breathe well? Is the mask stuffy? Does the air circulate through your head? The ventilation is great, I can breath perfectly fine without trouble it doesn’t stuff because the mouth is at the perfect spot for me to breath from, allowing fresh air in, and there isn’t a fan (which isn’t an issue) but the air in the head is pretty well circulated due to the style of eyes and the nice wide mouth.

How is the vision? Can you see well in front of you? Is there a large blind spot? Do you have to turn your head to see? (Note: most suits do not have peripheral vision) I can see perfectly fine, I personally failed to tell the makers that I do indeed wear glasses, so I have no room for those in there, but its not a big deal because I need them to see things close up, which isn’t a problem for me in suit, there are no blind spots, I can see past the nose, the eyes aren’t dark and I have a decent amount of vision without needing to swivel my head too much.

Appearance Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to look at with regard to material quality, design, how closely it matches the concept, etc.

How is the symmetry? Is anything lopsided? Are the markings symmetrical per the character design? The symmetry is great, it is a plain white character with no markings to try to copy over and the eyes/ears/nose/mouth isn’t lopsided (to me at least).

Is the shaving even? Can you see the backing? Is it choppy? Is the transition to long fur what you were looking for? The shaving is pretty even across the board, you can’t see any backing at all, and its not choppy at all, the transition from long to short is exactly how my cat (the pet the suit is based off of) is in real life so that was excellent.

How does the fur feel and look? If it was airbrushed, is the fur crunchy? Do the markings rub off or bleed? Is the fur able to be brushed or smoothed easily? The long fur is very nice to the touch, soft but firm and can withstand lots of touching the ear fleece is very soft and very pleasant to wear/touch, no markings so no air brushing.

How satisfied are you with the expression and overall appearance of the head? Can you achieve varied expressions from different angles? Are the eyes follow-me or static? I am very satisfied with the expression because I wanted something toony/cute nothing too realistic, and the happy expression is what I wanted, the head looks right too me, it has the big but not bulky cheeks I was looking for, I can obtain a few happy expressions from different angles yes, and the eyes are static eyes.

BodyGives information about the main body of the costume. If reviewing a separate set of pants/legs or torso, the answers would also go in this section.

Wear Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to wear with regard to comfort, fit, material quality, etc.

How satisfied are you with how the body fits? Is it comfortable to wear? Does it allow for good movement? Very satisfied, I was worried since I waited until I got paid before I send the DTD that I might have made it warped and ruined the chances of making the suit fit properly and that would be my fault not the makers’ fault, but it didn’t warp or shrink and the suit fits just fine, its comfortable to wear but I need to wear underarmor with it (which is understandable), the movement is good though I have not tried its limits due to being a bit scared of ruining it.

How is the quality and durability? Are the seams durable? Can you move without popping seams? The quality is great, and seems very durable so far but I haven’t done anything to try the limits of the suit yet. I can move around fairly well without any seams popping so far not any have popped or burst on me.

What is the interior like? Is it lined? Is it messy (fabric marks etc.) on the inside? The interior is what you would imagine, not soft but not rough either, its like the inside of a wool sweater, but not hot either, the inside doesn’t appear to be lined but I wouldn’t be able to tell to be honest since I don’t see the insides of suits very often, there are no messy fabric marks showing.

How is the airflow? Does air flow easily through your suit or is it immediately stuffy and hot? (Note: All fursuits will be hot, but is this one unexpectedly more hot?) The airflow is great, the suit seems to be porous for air flow, it feels great on a windy day, its not stuffy or very hot, I do live in south Texas so the weather was already reaching about 80F here when I tried it on outside, and I barely broke a sweat walking in it so not stuffy or overly hot at all.

Appearance Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to look at with regard to material quality, design, how closely it matches the concept, etc.

How is the symmetry? Is anything lopsided? Are the markings symmetrical per the character design? Symmetry is great, its not lopsided, and no markings.

Is the shaving even? Can you see the backing? Is it choppy? Is the transition to long fur what you were looking for? Shaving is even, you cannot see the backing, its not choppy, the transition from long to short is just like the IRL cat its based off of, and its what I wanted yes.

How does the fur feel and look? If it was airbrushed, is the fur crunchy? Do the markings rub off or bleed? Is the fur able to be brushed or smoothed easily? The long fur is very nice to the touch, soft but firm and can withstand lots of touching/hugging, the short tummy fur is very soft and very pleasant to wear/touch, no markings so no air brushing.

How satisfied are you with the selection of colors and materials used? Does it match the concept art? Colors were perfect, the materials are what I paid for so I am satisfied with that, and it matches the concept art/photos of my cat.

Hands and FeetGives information about the hands and/or feet of the costume.

Wear Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to wear with regard to comfort, fit, material quality, etc.

How satisfied are you with how the hands and feet fit? Are they comfortable to wear? Do they allow for good movement? Will your wrists/ankles show if you stretch too much? Do they stay on your hands/feet or do they slide off? Can you put them on comfortably with ease? The hands and feet fit great, they don’t slide off and aren’t too tight. They allow great movement and aren’t constricting and allow me to walk/grip things. My wrists and ankles do not show when moving around. The handpaws fit great because I sent a cast glove of my hand with my DTD and the shoe size/style is perfect for me (7 1/2 womens wide) they aren’t falling off at all. Putting on the hands/feet is easy due to the style of the shoe being a slip on and the hands fit me just right.

How is the quality and durability? Are the seams durable? Can you move without popping seams? Have paw pads or claws fallen off? The quality and durability seems to be fine, no seams have popped from extended use, no pawpads have come loose or fallen off yet, no claws were had in the first place.

What is the interior like? Is it lined? Is it messy (fabric marks etc.) on the inside? What type of shoe base do the feet use? The interior for the hands is a soft but unlined which is great because it allows airflow for my hands, it isn’t messy at all with no marks showing, and nothing leaking on to my hands when I sweat, the shoes were Vans styled slip ons with foam used for the toes, and a rough outdoor sole. So far nothing has ripped, popped or fallen off and the out door sole has held tight and has been durable.

Appearance Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to look at with regard to material quality, design, how closely it matches the concept, etc.

How is the symmetry? Is anything lopsided? Are the markings symmetrical per the character design? The symmetry of the hands and feet is great, they look like they were direct copies of each other, they are fitting the design perfect.

Is the shaving even? Can you see the backing? Is it choppy? Is the transition to long fur what you were looking for? The shaving is very even, no backing can be seen on the hands and no foam can be seen on the feet and its the style I was looking for yes.

How does the fur feel and look? If it was airbrushed, is the fur crunchy? Do the markings rub off or bleed? Is the fur able to be brushed or smoothed easily? The fur looks good and feels very soft, no airburshing was needed, there are no markings, and its very easily brushed.

How satisfied are you with the selection of colors and materials used? Are the paw pads fleece, silicone, something else? Are they hooves? Do you like how they look and feel? Do they get scratched easily? I am very satisfied with the colors and types of materials used, the pawpads are only on the hands and they are fleece and match what I wanted, I love how they feel and look, and so far none of the pawpads have popped.

TailsGives information about any tails the costume may have.

Wear Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to wear with regard to comfort, fit, material quality, etc.

How satisfied are you with how the tail(s) fit? Are they comfortable to wear? Do they allow for good movement? Can you put them on comfortably with ease? Very satisfied, it is very comfortable to the point to where I sometimes forget its there, it allows great movement, and its very easy to take on take off.

How is the quality and durability? Are the seams durable? Can you move without popping seams or straps? Has anything (spikes, scales, etc.) fallen off? The quality/durability is very good, I am very satisfied with it, the seams are very durable even after a few kids tugged and hugged on it there has been no popping or bursting, the straps that hold it to the belt are very strong and elastic allowing a larger or thicker belt if needed.

Can you pull on it without tearing? Are the straps secure and even? Yes you can tug the tail without it tearing or ripping, the straps are very secure

Appearance Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to look at with regard to material quality, design, how closely it matches the concept, etc.

How is the symmetry? Is anything lopsided? Are the markings symmetrical per the character design? The symmetry is great, its not going off to one side or has more stuffing in one end than the other, no markings, and yes matches design.

Is the shaving even? Can you see the backing? Is it choppy? Is the transition to long fur what you were looking for? Shaving is very even, it looks like a cat tail and not a fox or dog tail which made me very happy I was super worried that it would come out more canine/vulpis like than feline, but they did great making the shaving even to look cat like. It is what I was looking for.

How does the fur feel and look? If it was airbrushed, is the fur crunchy? Do the markings rub off or bleed? Is the fur able to be brushed or smoothed easily? The fur looks and feels soft, no air brush no markings, but it is very easily brushed.

How satisfied are you with the selection of colors and materials used? Do you like how they look and feel? Does it move or act how you expected? Does it match the concept art? I love that all the colors matched each other, the white of the tail was the same as the rest of the suit, the materials used are great the stuffing isn’t flat and the fur is great, I love how it looks and feels (almost feels like it isn’t even there) and it matches the design very well.

OverallHow satisfied the reviewer is with the overall buying experience, including their interactions with the maker and the resulting final product.

Product Satisfaction How satisfied the reviewer is with the overall look and feel of the costume in its entirety.

How was your concept art realized?

It matches the concept art, and photos of my cat as best as it could for a toony styled suit, I am very satisfied with how it came out and how much it matches the references I gave the makers.

How well does everything fit together and match up?

Everything fits together great, and they are all the same white so everything flows wonderfully.

Overall Project Quality

I am very satisfied, with the price I paid I really am very happy with how it came out, how fast it was done, how fast it shipped and just very happy with this whole ordeal.

Purchase Process Details the interactions between the customer/reviewer and the maker of the item with regard to the buying process.

Initial Contact

How satisfied are you with how easy it was to initially contact the maker for a quote?
Very satisfied, the maker was very thorough with me in making sure that I would be getting everything I wanted.

Maker Response Time

The response time was very satisfactory for me, I was very pleased with the almost instant replies from them, it made communicating and altering small things a breeze. It also made a payment plan very possible and easy to do.

Maker Professionalism

Their professionalism was great, they listened to me and adhered to any and all changes that I desired and made sure I was happy, while maintaining the commissioner/maker status.
I am very satisfied with the customer service, I really enjoyed the time they took to communicate with me, and understand that I lived on a fixed income, and even let me skip December’s payment due to Christmas and it allowed me to buy a crib for my then pregnant sister, thanks to that major act of kindness I cannot help but regard them in the highest light of costumer service.

Project Completion Time

The deadline/sent/arrival date was perfect for me, it allowed me to be able to enjoy it with my friend who only visits 3 times a year and it meant a lot to me that he was here to see it first (he was my camera man in the .gifv)

Final Comments

Pros-
They were polite
Swift with replies
They updated their site ( cantoftogs.tumblr.com/ ) with micro updates a lot so that their customers can see the progress without feeling like they are a bother to the maker for asking for an update
They allowed an easy to do payment plan, which helped a lot.

Cons-
I can’t think of any, other than they haven’t posted my suit in their FA gallery yet so they can get credit for it?

Final comments:
I had been searching for help on getting this suit done since about Feb 2015, I asked many suiters who did their suits and got several quotes from many makers, a lot of the time the makers made it known they wouldn’t go under $1000 for a solid colored character, I asked a friend where she got her cat partial and she said from Cantoftogs and I figured since that was the style I was looking for I could ask a quote, I was delighted that they agreed to do it, and for only $800+shipping, it made me very happy, and I am even more happy having the suit come to life and be with me right here. They have been nothing but a pleasurable experience for me, and I really appreciate them for this wonderful experience.
