[YES] Bat Fullsuit by Sironafur Creations
General InformationGives some information about the item and the person writing the review.
HeadGives information about the head of the costume. If reviewing a set of ears, the answers would also go in this section.
The head fits BEAUTIFULLY. There was an option for padding, but I found that it fits better without. The foam is comfortable for me, and I have no issues wearing it, beyond time management for standard heat buildup.
Ventilation is good. There are vent holes in the ears, nose, and the main method through the mouth. A small fan I have helps, but I’ve worn it without, and was basically just as comfortable.
The eyes give me good vision, with a bit of blind spot in front due to the way I asked for the eyes to be positioned. Vision is better by turning my head, of course, but ironically my peripheral is better than direct binocular vision. (as mentioned, it was my personal request for the eyes)
Symmetry is very good, and looks totally natural, while still aligned properly. All the colors and different furs match up as planned, and other parts, such as the nose and mouth.
The fur is soft and gentle, but high quality and durable. It cleans and brushes well, and is easy to keep maintained.
The face I asked for to be a blend of realism and toony, so it’s a little bit of a spinoff from my art. Again, at my personal request for such. I love the look, love the expression, and I’m glad that the patterns all look right.
While discussing any features, I asked for exchangeable tongues to be added. There’s a small patch of velcro on the inside of the mouth, and matching velro on fleece tongues of different lengths.
They’re well made and easy to trade in and out. I love them all, and in particular like the medium length tongue for it’s “in between” length.
BodyGives information about the main body of the costume. If reviewing a separate set of pants/legs or torso, the answers would also go in this section.
Like the head, the fur is soft and yet durable. The seams are all tight and hold it beautifully. The inside is organized and clean, and easy to see what part it is when it comes to cleaning and such.
Airflow in the suit itself is surprisingly good. Considering I have a cooling vest, it’s actually quite comfortable, even without it. There’s enough space to breathe and move, but tight enough to fit properly as you’d expect.
Suit alignment is great! The symmetry is basically perfect, and the fur hides the zipper like it’s not even there. Movement is easy and comfortable. The patterns and colors all match right, and has a good look.
As far as I’ve ever seen, there’s no backing showing, and the transition in the different colors and fur types is smooth and looks wonderful.
The texture is soft, and very comfortable from the outside, and the marking are all of the fur itself, so there’s no concern of bleeding or rubbing off.
The fur (like mentioned about the head) is easy to brush and clean when it’s time, and there’s no concern about messing anything up. It’s a wonderfully solid suit.
I have foam inserts in the legs to achieve the digitigrade leg bends, and even those are easy to keep clean and deal with.
Hands and FeetGives information about the hands and/or feet of the costume.
The feet are SUPER comfortable. It can be easy to get sizes wrong with commissioned footwear, but in a truly happy twist, these feet were the parts that ended up fitting me the very best on the whole suit.
The rest of it fit beautifully, but the feet are VERY comfortable, and were absolutely as well fitting as I’ve ever had a footwear item be. It blew me away how good the feet were.
They have the foam bottoms for ‘soles’ like most do, and there are little “sock” portions that go up to allow the legs and feet to mesh without a gap. The “sock” part is also comfortable, and holds to my legs flawlessly.
I sent the maker a full duct tape dummy, from ankle to neck (and to wrists), so it’s easy to see that the maker knows how to handle making the suit off a dummy without trouble!
The outside appearance is great. I the colors I opted for on the body is slightly different than my ref and art, but the decision was mine, based on the quality of fur and it’s appearance in different lighting. It’s beautiful and soft and matches the patterns and everything the way I wanted.
The shaving is even and thorough, and it all matches up. Symmetry is solid, and the zipper is hidden from view beautifully.
TailsGives information about any tails the costume may have.
My tail is a tiny little “deer” tail, based on the shorter tails that some bats have. It’s little, out of the way, and barely noticeable when I’m wearing it. Even when sitting. It’s a little bit of foam inside the fur, stitched shut and attached to roughly the tailbone area. It’s easy to wash and all that, and never any trouble thanks to it’s size and how well crafted it is.
Appearance wise it’s adorable. It looks good, looks right compared to my art and request, and comfortable!
WingsGives information about any wings the costume may have.
The wings are long, and sturdy. The rod inserts are of delrin, and balance sturdiness (to support the wing membrane fabric) as well as remain light enough to not feel too heavy until after many hours of wearing and lifting them straight.
The wrists have a little re-enforcement with foam for support and comfort both. The membrane is cotton, which allowed easy dying for the custom pattern I have on my wings.
I have to point out, the maker painstakingly took the time to dye by hand, and it came out SO, SO perfectly. I absolutely ADORE the wings.
The fur is the same as the body for the fingers and arms, with little soft claws, as well as the cotton membrane that bears my signature pattern.
The wing features are internal, not external, but I thought it was worth mentioning. The delrin rods that act as the support for the extended parts of the wing, in addition to being comfortable and sturdy alike, are removable. This makes washing and brushing the arms, fingers, and membranes much easier. It also allows the rods to be maintained without trouble.
OverallHow satisfied the reviewer is with the overall buying experience, including their interactions with the maker and the resulting final product.
A direct comparison to the art wouldn’t be fair, except that the patterns and general colors were meant to be used as the basis for a more realistic interpretation.
This is why despite some differences you’ll see, I emphasize that it was MY decision, and I approve of it 5 out of 5 stars.
Overall experience was wonderful. The maker is kind and understanding, and it’s very clear that this is something they really enjoy doing. They communicate very well, and their care shows in the final result.
Honestly, I can’t say much that hasn’t been repeated a hundred times thanks to the format of these reviews. lol This has been the first commission from them, and I’m so impressed, that I’m actually working out a second fursuit based directly off of the full toony ref sheet this time.
So far, I don’t have any actual cons to list. They did a wonderful job of treating my with respect, hearing my thoughts and wants, giving me their thoughts when I asked what they thought as a suit maker, and putting it all together.
In summary, I have to highly suggest them. They do amazing work, have a great natural talent and serious effort and love that goes into their work, and are overall a great person to support. If I weren’t 100% legitimately behind it, I wouldn’t bother leaving a review. But as it is, I’m impressed, and can’t believe I’m going to spend the money on another suit. But I am!
And with Sironafur Creations, it’s absolutely worth it.
