The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the head of the fursuit. If you are reviewing only a set of ears, your answers would also go in this section.
It is a little small since the moving jaw is always slightly open. Some of the parts inside are uncomfortable when putting it on/ off, however once inside it is quite comfy. The ventilation is good and the vision was great. The eyes are quite close together so there is practically no blind spot in the middle.
It looks good from the outside. The fur was great quality but I feel it was not shaved back enough for my liking, which I fixed. Some attempt at airbushing I think that didn’t really work out and just makes her mohawk look dirty. Expression was good for what I asked for (has since been changed). The eyes are semi follow me eyes, the size of them making them too big for fully follow me. Nostrils were poorly painted on. My neck was showing, something I was very unhappy with and had to fix myself again.
The mohawk was a feature I wanted added, but it was very ridged and not properly secured so it would flop around behind me reviling a very obvious zip, I had to fix this myself. The special horns I wanted are very well done. Ears are very hard, didn’t like this too much. The head is a pain to take on and off and is quite heavy because of the method used.
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the body of the fursuit.
If you are reviewing armsleeves or legs/pants that are seperate from a bodysuit, your answers would also go in this section.
I had a lot of problems with the suit. Firstly the foam padding was confusing to put on. The maker said she would send instructions but never did. When ever I tried to put it in, the lower padding would fall out, something I tried to fix with velcro. Movement is very restricted. The fit was good however, seams sewed well and all holds together. No lining but I don’t mind. The zip came broken because it was glued (not even sewn) on wonky and so got stuck at the bottom, which I had to fix again.
Looks good from the outside, except the grey I asked for on the belly is clearly light purple. Legs aren’t as defined as I had hoped for. Marking are all nicely sewn in.
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the hands and feet of the fursuit.
Again, looks good from the outside. Has held together so far except one of the soles of the feet fell off the very first time I wore it outside. Both are too big, they fall off. The feet aren’t very comfortable for long distance walking since it is just a plastic croc inside. The hand paws are way too short, could easily see my wrist through it.
They both look great; exactly what I asked for. The claws act like fingers and the feet where nice and big. I can even use my phone whilst I have my paws on which is awesome!
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the tail(s) of the fursuit.
The tail was attached to the suit which is what I wanted. As soon as a took it out the box however I felt a giant weight at the end of the tail which had been sewn in. I have no idea why the maker thought this would be a good idea, I took it out myself. Belt loops were ok inside the suit, but I could see she had some troubles with the cap of the tail, thankfully hidden inside the suit. There was some sort of foam structure inside too to hold its shape but it just looked lumpy and took that out too.
It was the correct size and shape, but again some poor attempt at airbrushing which make it look dirty. Again, all the fur was good quality, dragged on the floor too.
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the wings of the fursuit.
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with the overall visual aspects associated with the fursuit.
How satisfied are you with how closely the suit matches the concept art?
If there was no concept art, please state N/A
The suit matches my art pretty well. All markings in place along with some more she suggested.
How satisfied are you with how well everything fits together and matches up?
Do you markings match up at the seams? Are the colors consistent?
Everything matches up fine if the padding is held in place correctly. Only thing is the wrong colour on the belly.
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with all the aspects of communication between you and the maker.
How satisfied are you with how easy it was to initially contact the maker for a quote?
Initially yes, she seemed very enthusiastic and polite to me. I filled out her form and she came back to me with a quote which I accepted and shortly commissioned her after.
How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take them to respond?
She said she would send me WIP’s every two weeks but this never happened. I had to force her to give me WIP’s and most of the time she would just never reply to my emails and shouts on furaffinity. I was really no happy with this and caused a lot of stress from me.
How satisfied are you with the level of professionalism and friendliness of the maker?
Were they pleasant to work with?
She is pleasant yes. Always kept her cool even when I listed the many things wrong with the suit. I wouldn’t call her professional however since she outright refused to respond to me, and many of her other customers.
How satisfied are you with how the deadline was met for completion of your project?
Were any deadlines missed or was it done early?
Deadlines weren’t hit. She was supposed to be finished end of April but continued for another month with almost no contact, blatantly lying to me about when she was going to send to suit too. Again, a lot of stress.
How satisfied are you with the overall quality of your project?
There are just too many flaws for me to be happy with Ember. I just don’t want to wear her anymore as a full suit because of how difficult she is to put on.
How satisfied are you with the overall customer service with the maker?
Very poor. People looking to get a suit from her beware.
Describe your experience. What were the pros and cons of working with this maker? And any final comments?
Pro were that she is friendly and very apologetic. Some meathods she carried out were professional and the materials she used are of high quality.
Cons are that it was a massive struggle with her and to spend $1585 on a suit that you don’t want to wear and feel bad about is massively horrible.
