All 3 days at TFF and some random outings, most likely over 16 hours.
It is very comfortable, it was tight at first but that was fine since it’s made of foam, it has loosed up a bit since then.
The ventilation is great!
The vision is horrible, the eyes do not line up with mine at all, they about half an inch over where my eyes actually are, this wouldn’t be an issue if the holes were not so small, they were too tiny and leave no room for anyone with a face not shaped like hers, as all of her heads are made to fit her. Someone else had the same issue. On top of that, there is a hole right under the eye where fur is constantly slipping through and getting into my eyeball, it also lets extra light shine through right under the right eye, where the left eye doesn’t have this problem: The eyes must be lopsided. Pictures included, I can also literally stick my fingers through both of them, holes everywhere, straight out of the box I had to superglue his right eye back on, I have no idea how they’re put on there but it’s not good, there is no lining so you can see stitching on the spots on his eyes. This probably bothers me the most.
His left eye is slightly lower than the right eye, but you really can’t tell unless you’re looking for it. In the old picture of him in the first option it also looks like his ears are not the same size at all.
There are random bald spots all over him, particular on his ears where the fur is bent over. Everything else is nice, though!
This fur is EXTREMELY sheddy, and falls off if you move even a tiny bit, making all of the bald spots multiply and look so much more obvious. When brushed, it looks okay, but it gets so shaggy so quickly and flies all over the place, more of a HAIRY look and not so much a furry look. On his muzzle there is a part where the fur isn’t there and it shows some styrofoam or something, looks like the fabric is torn.
Static eyes, that are very cute and he is super smilie! Because of the eye issue, no matter he ALWAYS looks like he is looking down, and just kind of smiling at the ground. Overall he is pretty adorable, I like it! He has a cute plushie tongue that is very well done and glued down, and some foam teeth that look pretty nice!
She did however claim that it was made 100% of foam, which is not completely true. Picture included, it looks like it was made of 2 long pieces of foam and had some pink fabric thrown over it, then maybe had the fur sewn into that. This is not good, it makes some parts of the back of his head bump out like a cartoon when they’re hit with a hammer or something, it looks really dumb, there is not enough foam so it doesn’t keep its shape.
How satisfied are you with how closely the suit matches the concept art?
If there was no concept art, please state N/A
How satisfied are you with how well everything fits together and matches up?
Do you markings match up at the seams? Are the colors consistent?
I think she used white thread for every single part, you can see some tangled white thread on his ear and some white thread on his eye, even though the spots around them are brown.
How satisfied are you with how easy it was to initially contact the maker for a quote?
Amazing! I sent her a message on Furbuy that day and she IMMEDIATELY replied, finding my email and everything!
How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take them to respond?
She replies very very fast, and never leaves you hanging!
How satisfied are you with the level of professionalism and friendliness of the maker?
Were they pleasant to work with?
She is very friendly and very professional!
How satisfied are you with how the deadline was met for completion of your project?
Were any deadlines missed or was it done early?
She did speedy shipping so I could have him in time for TFF, was sent a day early and got here a day early, amazing!
How satisfied are you with the overall quality of your project?
For the price, it’s not that bad. Her heads are usually reserved 300$+ I believe, but he had a lot of issues which is why I think he was let go a little cheaper.
How satisfied are you with the overall customer service with the maker?
Very satisfied! Outstanding!
Describe your experience. What were the pros and cons of working with this maker? And any final comments?
Pros: She is extremely friendly and her prices are great! She also never once left me hanging or forgot about me, very reassuring! She was also willing to work with my horrible situation (needing this suit from the UK (lives in Texas) for a con happening on March 11th, due to another commission going HORRIBLY and having to cancel), was willing to work with me and everything went so smoothly! The head itself, as well as all of them (assuming they’re all constructed the same way) is extremely light and very easy to wear, perfect for a first suit!
Cons: The fur shedding and getting in the eyes is a huge issue, as well as the eyes popping off and everything else I stated, but, it’s really not that bad.
Final Comments: Improvements I would suggest are, since someone else said they have the same issue with the eyes not lining up with their own, is consider that all of these suits are premade, and meant to be sold to other people. Artistically, the smaller, cartoonier eyes look great! But from a wearable and seeable standpoint, perhaps they need to be larger and placed in a different area, as well as some more foam inside of the head so the headshape doesn’t fall apart so quickly. The fur getting in the eyes is a huge issue, lining the inside (and maybe outside) of the eyes like you did the mouth could keep that from happening, though, as well as glueing the eyes themselves down a bit better. The jaw could use a bit more material, too, the foam showing is not so good. His ear also came off at the con, so a bit of reinforcement is needed. I also wear glasses that I have to put to him on the outside of him in order to see since they do not fit inside, so perhaps make a few heads that are glasses-friendly?
Overall, this was a good first experience! I was disappointed by all of the problems, but the good definitely outweighs the bad!
I recommend her if this is your first fursuit and you have no idea what kind of character you want!
