The whole partial fits very well. Its sits comfortably on my head although is just the slightest bit loose (if I turn my head quickly the fursuit head will swing a bit). The head is partially lined (lining covers the foam but not the backing of the fur) so I wear a balaclava underneath it.
The ventilation is good, the mouth is pretty wide open allowing lots of air in. The inside of the muzzle is completely hollow as well, so the air can flow through and it doesn’t get stuffy.
The vision is fantastic, the eyes are very wide open so I have a huge circle of vision. The material used for the eyes is also very easy to see through from the inside. There is a blind spot in the middle, but actually has a pretty wide range of vision out to the sides.
The symmetry is perfect, the shape of the head is great and the stripes on her muzzle are symmetrical. (her other markings are not supposed to be symmetrical).
The face is made of fleece so the only shaving is on the ears which also looks good, and has a smooth transition to the rest of the fur on the head.
The fur feels great, very high quality and soft. As mentioned before the face is actually made of fleece. It creates a unique and smooth look. The fleece itself is very thick and soft so it isn’t flimsy. The transition between the fleece and fur is surprisingly smooth and it creates a GORGEOUS clean look on the head.
The markings on the face are airbrushed and it looks great on the fleece.
The expression is adorable and has a lot of character. She has different expressions from different angles, and the following effect on the eyes is VERY strong and makes her look very life-like. It matches the concept art perfectly, despite the fact that they have different expressions (chosen intentionally).
Wearing it feels great. Each piece is lightweight and I can’t move without feeling heavy.
The hand paws and arm sleeves fit very well and don’t slide. The arm sleeves are held by a strap, and the paws slide into the arm sleeves making them look like one piece.
The quality is great and both are very durable, even with me dancing and rolling around on the ground. Nothing has broken or fallen off despite my rough use.
My biggest concern is the interior. Neither the arm sleeves nor the hand paws are lined, which makes me worried about damaging the backing of the fur with my sweat. The paws are puffy paws, but there’s nothing holding the stuffing inside so when you wear them your fingers are pushing the stuffing into the paw fingers. This is the only major complaint I have about the partial as a whole.
The overall appearance is fantastic, when the paws and arm sleeves are worn together it looks like one seamless piece. The markings are cute and look exactly like the concept art (markings are not supposed to be symmetrical).
The only shaving is on the paw fingers, and its perfect. Its even and makes the paws look absolutely adorable, and the fur is incredibly soft. The fur is of course high quality and soft and the fur direction is on point.
The materials are high quality, although the fleece used for the paw pads isn’t amazing, it has somewhat of an odd texture so it doesn’t look smooth. The claws are small and cute, and were sculpted very smoothly out of clay. The colors are all perfect.
How satisfied are you with how closely the suit matches the concept art?
If there was no concept art, please state N/A
The suit matches the concept art amazingly, except for a few changes I specifically asked to be made (the ears on the ref are pointy but I asked him to make them round, and other such details. He really brought the character to life and made her look gorgeous.
How satisfied are you with how well everything fits together and matches up?
Do you markings match up at the seams? Are the colors consistent?
Everything fits together and matches together perfectly. I can’t even tell where the seams are except for on the face. (Since the face is made of fleece, the seams are unavoidable but very cleverly done so they aren’t obtrusive and look part of the character).
How satisfied are you with how easy it was to initially contact the maker for a quote?
Initial contact was easy, I was given a quote very quickly and he answered my questions as well.
How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take them to respond?
Maker always responded within 24 hours. He always answered all my questions and updated me frequently. Extremely friendly and made the changes I asked for when I was shown WIPs.
How satisfied are you with how the deadline was met for completion of your project?
Were any deadlines missed or was it done early?
Met my deadline a few days early, even though it was a rush order in the first place. It was finished in two months so that I could have it for Furry Weekend Atlanta.
How satisfied are you with the overall quality of your project?
How satisfied are you with the overall customer service and professionalism of the maker?
Describe your experience. What were the pros and cons of working with this maker? And any final comments?
The experience was great! I have no complaints. Andy was great to work with and extremely friendly and accommodating, even when issues arose (at one point he had to get a small surgery but was still able to meet my deadline despite this). I emailed him often (admittedly, maybe a bit too often because it was my first suit and I was excited!) and he always responded with some kind of update. I have no complaints with working with him, it was a joy the whole way through.
