HeadGives information about the head of the costume. If reviewing a set of ears, the answers would also go in this section.

Wear Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to wear with regard to comfort, fit, material quality, etc.

Are you satisfied with how it fits you?
The head fit a bit too snug for me due to natural hair and that was understandable. The head did stab me in the side of the head due to the glue used to hold the hinges of the resin base together. The jaws of the suit digged into my jaw as well due to it being uneven with the hinge popped.

How is the ventilation?
When I first got the suit and did the fursuit review, there was dusk left in the head that I breathed in. It wasn’t too bad, and the ventilation was good when you could get the mouth open. It was rather hard to pop the mouth open, thus why the jaws dug into my chin to be able to give me air.

How is the vision?
Very well done vision. I did not have to worry too much about blind spots.

Appearance Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to look at with regard to material quality, design, how closely it matches the concept, etc.

How is the symmetry?
It was about decent for the most part. It’s not noticeable unless you are looking for it to be wrong.

Is the shaving even?
Yes, for the most part.

How does the fur feel and look?
The fur felt really good, so no complaints in that.

How satisfied are you with the expression and overall appearance of the head?
Not pleased. I had originally commissioned this maker to make the suit a “Scary suit” due to the species and it being the suit that I was to wear around Halloween/scare activities. They had made a headbase previously for another maker that was near a monster look/feel, and when given a head that wasn’t really monster looking, it was not to my satisfaction.

Does it match the concept art?
Yes and no. Due to many issues that the maker had suddenly come up on a lot, many aspects of the suit are incomplete.

Some key features missed was the ear clipped area’s, nose slits, eyes, mouth and horns. The top pair of horns and the smaller pair of horns near the ear.

Special Attachments and Features Information about any special or unique features this piece has with regard to the reviewer's satisfaction of them.

Where do I begin.

Horn – Due to this maker not wanting to use horns that I was willing to pay for to be sent to them, they had wanted to use horns that were not even apart of the species genetic makeup for the suit. I, at the time when asked about it, did not care about them as much any more being used because of the excuses given why the ones I had wanted for the horns (which were available here in the US, could have been sent and been the exact ones needed) were not good enough / to not be used. So, my suit head’s horns were the wrong type.

“Resin” eyes – According to Dasker, the eyes were messed up in the process of getting ready for my suit. So, with the ones received on the suit head, they looked like they were covered in white out and used a barely useable sharpie on it to make the slots of my characters eyes. The character is blind, and the white-out eyes made it looked rather unprofessional and really rushed/not cared about in the detail.

Wired Tentacles – They were somewhat okay in the aspect due to them being really fluffy at the end instead of smoothed down.

Resin Base / Jawset – So, I had paid for this resin base to be sent to the maker to use. When I received the suit, the maker then tells me that with the issues I had with the suit was based on a basically faulty base from a maker they only ordered their supplies from (headbases, claws, etc). They did not inform me about any of that, so my head was basically a defective/messed up partial anyway before I even got it. There should have been a warning that possibly a replacement might have needed to be made or something, but was not.

Fleece Tongue – Again, one of those things where I could have ordered from makers I knew for my supplies, but they didn’t want to use it. When it came to working on my suit, they didn’t have the kind of tongue I wanted/needed for the character, so had to just get what they had.

Hands and FeetGives information about the hands and/or feet of the costume.

Wear Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to wear with regard to comfort, fit, material quality, etc.

How satisfied are you with how the hands and feet fit?
These were comfortable to wear and allowed for comfortable movement. As for the showing, yes, due to it being a partial.

How is the quality and durability?
With the hands, there were some holes that were visible once I started to move/wiggle my fingers a bit more, but not something noticeable much.
Quality lacked a little in the hands, but the feet were about okay.

What is the interior like?
It was lined for the palm and fingers only. Past that, it was just straight fur. There were small fabric marks, but not something noticeable unless looking for it.
The shoe base was a slipper.

Appearance Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to look at with regard to material quality, design, how closely it matches the concept, etc.

How is the symmetry?
Not everything is going to be perfect, I understand that. One of the footpaws had a curved appearance with the claws, as did the hands with a thumb aspect too.

Is the shaving even?
It was a little off, but not anything major.

How does the fur feel and look?
Felt like fur and fleece. Nothing out of the ordinary with it.

How satisfied are you with the selection of colors and materials used?
They used fleece pawpads. I would have preferred to have silicone pawpads for my suits as I like them better, but again, with them not wanting to order parts from a supplier I could have done so, this was one of the things that was not available.

TailsGives information about any tails the costume may have.

Wear Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to wear with regard to comfort, fit, material quality, etc.

How satisfied are you with how the tail(s) fit?
It was comfortable to wear and didn’t have any fitting issues.

How is the quality and durability?
Due to me not wearing the tail much, I would say that it’s decent for the out of the box useage.

Appearance Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to look at with regard to material quality, design, how closely it matches the concept, etc.

How is the symmetry?
It’s seemingly symmetric with each part. Again, unless you are looking for a mistake, it’s not noticeable.

Is the shaving even?
No shaving was necessary.

How does the fur feel and look?
The fur/fleece felt fine. There wasn’t any issues with that.

How satisfied are you with the selection of colors and materials used?
I was kind of disappointed with the fleece used for the scales as they were suppose to be used with the same materials on the facial lower eye part as the top of the tail.
The fur used for the tail was fine, but I would have been a bit more okay if the fur length was a bit longer like the sheet’s reference.

OverallHow satisfied the reviewer is with the overall buying experience, including their interactions with the maker and the resulting final product.

Product Satisfaction How satisfied the reviewer is with the overall look and feel of the costume in its entirety.

How was your concept art realized?

How satisfied are you with how closely the suit matches the concept art?
Not very satisfied.
I personally felt that the concept art was not hard to do and follow.

How well does everything fit together and match up?

The markings kind of match up and the color constancy was alright.

Overall Project Quality

How satisfied are you with the overall quality of your project?
Not satisfied with how much time it took to get my suit. Rather disappointed really considering how many customers were completed before mine and in a much better quality.

Purchase Process Details the interactions between the customer/reviewer and the maker of the item with regard to the buying process.

Initial Contact

How satisfied are you with how easy it was to initially contact the maker for a quote?
Rather satisfied. I had ended up taking a spot from someone else to get the suit, so they were rather communicative with me towards the beginning.

Maker Response Time

At first, I was okay with them as stated above.

Then when they had stopped responding on FA, they had said something about their email issues and more problems followed them one after another. I found/contacted them on twitter and communication started slightly.

Then as time went on, their communication got scare. Sometimes it was months before they had contacted me again.

Maker Professionalism

I was not very pleased with the professionalism towards the end with the maker. Most of the issues that they maker had would have been easy to solve and resolve with issues if communicated more, updated, and such.

They were initially friendly, but towards the end and with this issue being a rather large problem the maker did not seem to want to take a lot of responsibility for, it became to where it felt rather problematic with them.

How satisfied are you with the overall customer service with the maker?
Not very satisfied.

I did not get many W.I.P’s from them, as they said they would, and when my suit was put together, it just turned out to be a rather big disappointment to me.

Project Completion Time

How satisfied are you with how the deadline was met for completion of your project?
Were any deadlines missed or was it done early?

Not pleased at all.
The suit was commissioned in Spring 2013, and paid off in the winter of that same year.
They had missed the date of the first con, then missed the second date of Halloween in 2014. They missed the next deadline of the second con, and they ended up taking 2 years to make one suit.

I did not get my suit til February 2015, so I rather rather upset with me first purchasing experience of a fursuit after getting positive reviews from a local friend of mine that has purchased from the same maker.

Final Comments

Pro’s –
They gave me back all of my money for the suit, even the initial deposit.

Had a good initial experience with this being my first suit commission.

Con’s –
Do not commission them for things that are realistic / monster-like. Their best style would be toony, so if you want that, get it. Otherwise, go to another maker.

They do not work with other makers of fursuit supplies unless it’s a certain maker. Be prepared to pay a bit for things if you are wanting resin parts used by them.

Anything that has to be cast to use, do not let them work on. Just save yourself time and let them do hand sewn stuff.

If you want more rapid responses, please contact them on Twitter. Their FA is dead, and getting e-mails from them is rather yay or neigh depending on their side.

If you have a deadline and it has nothing to do with Europe con’s, do not get your suit done by them, even with deadline promises. You are better off waiting for someone else to open or asking around.

Commission yourself a reference sheet that shows exact details of the suits. Otherwise, you will have a large amount of room for error and the maker will have issues with this. Please make sure you are strictly explicit on that sheet what is there and how it is.
