[NO] Moose Partial by Sugar N Spice Costumes
General InformationGives some information about the item and the person writing the review.
I was too worried I’d never see the tail again, so I never told them that the tail was unacceptably small compared to the reference image.
I was too worried they wouldn’t send the head back so I fixed the horns which were originally much too small.
Filed under Canidae, with horns, antlers, or spikes
HeadGives information about the head of the costume. If reviewing a set of ears, the answers would also go in this section.
It is very comfortable. The fit is perfect and it’s very soft. It’s lined with a silk-like material and cleaning is easy.
I can breathe easily. I do wear glasses in suit and they do tend to get fogged.
Vision is great.
The head is very cute. Symmetry is great except for a slight misalignment with cheek spots.
The shaving is even and nice.
There is a weird crease along the jawline on both sides where the foam is obviously put together. It results in a joker-smile scar look, which I really dislike.
The fur is soft and good quality and the facial expression is perfect.
It matches the concept art mostly, the horns were TINY so I made some of my own to add.
Hands and FeetGives information about the hands and/or feet of the costume.
Both hands and feet fit nicely! They’re lined in a soft material and are sturdy.
The hands are very cute but are missing claws.
The shaving is even and the stitching around the paw pads is quite messy.
The feet are the wrong shades of brown and lack claws.
The missing claws are very different from the concept art.
TailsGives information about any tails the costume may have.
The tail is comfortable and the colors are correct
The tail is entirely too small. The reference image had a thick, floor dragging tail. The tail I received it small, thin and hangs limp like a dead rodent.
The fur is nice and the right colors, it’s even and clean and good quality.
OverallHow satisfied the reviewer is with the overall buying experience, including their interactions with the maker and the resulting final product.
The feet are the wrong shades of brown but the fur length is the same.

This maker made an adorable suit. But their business practices are not sound.
They told me the suit was done, without my prompting, on July 23rd, 2016.
The next note they sent me was in April, 2017 saying the suit needed eyes, after I actually asked.
They told me it would be done at 4 different deadlines, all were missed.
They account hopped and hid from myself and other commissioners and their questions for over 2 years.
They took so long answering my little questions that I’m honestly too afraid to even bring up the tail size or horn size out of fear of never seeing my suit again. I fixed the horns myself, but I can’t fix the tail as they refused to send me the furs for it (I paid them for these furs and never received them).
Official responses can only be made by the maker listed on the review.
Official Responses are meant to communicate with the people reading the review, not the reviewer.
It is recommended you read "I have negative reviews on FursuitReview... Now what?" before commenting or submitting an official maker response on a non-positive review.
Official Responses are always verified before being posted to ensure that the person who submitted the response is actually the maker in question.
We do this by contacting the maker directly through one of their business pages or emails and ask if they have recently sent us an official response.
Just wanted to mention one thing. Extra fur is paid for out of the makers earnings. They have a right to keep that fur and to say otherwise is wrong.
I paid for the extra fur and have proof of that here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FsjY8f9ezHsA0Smr_bHyiRmx4_4t4lF_FAdiGirXb6Y/edit?usp=sharing
Oh okay. That’s a different story then, but the review doesn’t read like that so I guess having that here helps.
Ouch, 2 years of waiting and mostly in the dark, I know that feeling… And I thought I had to wait such a long time to get mine! :s
For some reason it’s not showing my reply.
@Rebecca, I paid for the suit in 2015, in 2017 I paid EXTRA for fur to be sent to me.
I have proof of this in an artist beware.
If anyone wants proof of anything in this review, my FA is linked in the review. You’re welcome to contact me at any time!
Apologies, the previous reply was caught in the spam queue. It’s up now!
I’m currently in the same boat with this maker. They needed ‘A single Emergency Commission’ to help them leave a con. I agreed and paid the first installment that night. We spoke over getting it completed before FWA (Six to Seven months away) we agreed on a payment plan and it was paid in full by Feburary with all my measures and a duck-tape dummy mailed to them.
Over the next several months they tell me they’re working on it, even sending a screen shot of a head. I was thrilled! They later invited me to a closed group telegram saying I was a good friend and a great customer. There I discovered the head they showed me, was another suit they were making. I asked for progress and they showed bare, unfinished feet. This was less then a week from FWA.
I was only able to recieve half of my money back, as they waited out the buyer protection on some of installments. They’re pleasant enough people, but I’ve heard nothing but negative things about their practice since commissioning them. Wish I had seen this post sooner.
I’m having a similar problem right now. I ordered feetpaws TEN MONTHS ago, and I’m really peeved. They’ve been having a lot go on lately, which I am sympathetic to, but it has been ten months since the initial ETA:
Oh they seem to ALWAYS have something going on. That’s how they suckered me into thinking waiting for 3 years was acceptable
Same, I ordered feet paws over a year ago now, was told a couple of times that they were almost done and have only received one picture of them inside out. Never once have they contacted me, its always been me asking about my paws.
I have the same problem. I ordered outdoor feet paws from them but didn’t get them sent to me in the mail yet. I ordered them 5 months ago but I am getting no response from them. They are a very slow fursuit company and don’t respond to email messages or twitter messages. they showed me one picture on twitter of my paws but they are refusing to send them to me and I don’t know why. I want to complete my partial fursuit with some feet paws but for some reason they are not sending them to me. I thought it was a good idea to order from them because they were open for outdoor feet paws commissions but I was wrong. last time I got a message from them they told me they were really sick which I think is a lame and lazy response. I WOULD NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!
