The pink underside is twisted over the tail and it’s all distorted.

The bright pink mane isn’t straight and twisted to the side.

The back stripes don’t match up on either side.

The underbelly stripes are backwards.

Only half shaved and shaving is very messy, in patches and uneven.

Only half shaved and shaving is very messy, in patches and uneven. The tail is completely twisted around, when it should be flat at the underside.

This is an amateur mistake and lazy work that wasn’t watching what the pattern and sewing was doing.

The tail is full of holes.

The incorrect tail tip colour was used, I specifically requested lavender candy shag, confirmed this with the maker, and she used white without telling me.

How was your concept art realized?

She did not do the markings correctly despite me offering her multiple consistent reference sheets.

She did the lavender V markings on the underbelly completely wrong. I told her this about 3 times. She said she would fix it but did not.

I had to correct her multiple times to do the stripe markings, and they are still not fully correct.

I specified that I wanted candy shag lavender fur for the tip of the tail and she gave me white without even asking me if that was OK.

How well does everything fit together and match up?

The stripes do not match up. Nothing on the tail matches up correctly. It does not look close to what the quality I expected would be.

There was barely any contact and I was ignored for days or weeks.

I had to try to get their friend to call them just for them to see my messages.

I am fairly sure I was put on mute that’s why nothing I sent was getting though and seen.

They never asked me for approvals to continue they just kept going without showing me what changes they were making.

I kept getting ignored on everything I was asking to be fixed and lack of any WIPS given of the progress of what they were doing. Only showing me small snips and not correcting what I asked for.

It took them so long just to give me my tracking number, and it wasn’t even the correct one. I had to ask their friend to call them to get my correct tracking number because PyropeCostumes ignored me.

Maker Professionalism

She was very unprofessional. She blamed me for her getting the markings wrong.

I specified I absolutely needed my tail done for a certain con, and she confirmed she could do it no problem. I was not shown a TOS.

It was a month before the con I specified I needed my tail by and she wanted to just cancel because she was having issues with her sewing machine. I was freaking out because I should I wouldn’t be able to find anyone who could make a long complicated tail and order fur and ship it back in time.

She refused to hand sew my tail when I asked, then turned around and agreed to hand sew it. She then told me shortly afterwards that it would be machine sewn as she would get a sewing machine from her friend.

I thought it was going well and wasn’t looking too bad.

I then received a sudden final completed picture of the tail, and realised they cut all the fur off one one half when she is meant to have fur. The tail was twisted in the completed picture, but she bent it to the side so you could not tell that it was twisted, it just looked like she had flopped the tail over.

I asked them at least if they could shave the other half so it matches, since it was uneven.

They said they will.

It was meant to be shipped out the next day. But after two weeks of ignoring me they told me that it’s still hasn’t been shipped out and my con was in a few weeks.

They eventually shipped it out, but told me the shipping price for a box that one 1 pound was $350 AUS which didn’t add up at all!! I did get express shipping, but that price still did not make sense.

I got the tail and found the tail twisted, crooked, and distorted with messy seams, markings that didn’t match up, and half shaved. She did not shave the tail like she said she would. The shaving she did do was messy and patchy.

The markings were still all wrong on the underside.

I told the maker about this, and she blamed the tail being crooked on me, for ‘being in the box too long and making tension on the seams. After turning the tail inside out, it was clear that it was just cut crooked and sewn crookedly and rushed. Maker then turned around and posted a beware on me for being ‘too difficult to deal with.’

Project Completion Time

They met my deadline, but barely. I had to pay for express shipping (which she refused to pay any part of) and the tail is so rushed and sloppy.

I offered a full refund, despite I already had the fur and invested time on making patterns and such, because my sewing machine broke and the commission may wouldn’t be done at the time the customer asked, on top of that I wasn’t feeling well working with her making me felt uncomfortable due to all the changes she asked while making the tail. I explain the situation to her, and she refused, she insisted me on still working on the tail, she insisted a lot. She said she didn’t minded if I needed to hand sewn the tail. I haven’t choice.

After tons of changes on the tail (3 different patterns, 2 different tails) I finished the tail. I must say that she changed the design, she send two different references and requested a lot of specifications, all while I was making the tail. The last request was to shave a part of the tail, I tried to but it was difficult to me since I usually shave fur before sew it together. So I finished the tail, the shipment cost was 245$ usd ($4500 mxn). She only payed 100 usd of the total amount. She asked for the fastest delivery service. And as you might know, it’s really expensive since I’m from Mexico and she’s located in Australia. I had some problems with that, the money from PayPal took around 6 business days before I can use it. How can I send the money?

She never told me about any complaints, she opted to block me so I cannot saw any of the post she made about my work. Friends of her attacked me through my Facebook page.
She already has the tail, I can’t give her an entire refund. I offered an entire refund in the past and she refused. All I can do right now is offer to not pay the rest of the shipment (126 usd).

Thanks a lot for your attention, I’ll keep this misfortune as experience, and I’ll improve in my service as well as my work. This is the first and last time I let something like this happen.
