HeadGives information about the head of the costume. If reviewing a set of ears, the answers would also go in this section.

Wear Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to wear with regard to comfort, fit, material quality, etc.

It is just how I imagined it would be, the visibility isn’t the greatest, but I have never put on a fursuit head before now. But it is comfortable, warm, and when I am dancing or performing (or just hanging out with it on) it fits well and the jaw moves when I talk. It is also easy to breathe out of as long as I am not overdoing it (dancing for an extended period of time) but overall I am very happy with how the head turned out!

Appearance Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to look at with regard to material quality, design, how closely it matches the concept, etc.

It looks just like my character does, so from the pictures I sent her when we first started talking, she did an excellent job of bringing this character to life. The hair just has to be spiked up a little bit but it is something that she showed me how to do when we met for the exchange. The eyes are just the way that we had discussed which she even wanted to confirm the color that I wanted and I was able to provide a hex code for it. Once the fur was added to the head, she started the shaving process but double check with me just to confirm how much of the fur I wanted on the cheeks before she continued cutting off more of it and making it even all of the way around

Special Attachments and Features Information about any special or unique features this piece has with regard to the reviewer's satisfaction of them.

The jaw moves! I didn’t realize how many (or how few) the number of fursuits there are with a moving jaw, but the jaw piece that she used moves whenever I talk, so even if I have to exaggerate some of my words, the jaw moves and projects my voice loud enough for anyone at least close enough to hear me and from a far you can even see that I am saying something!
The eyes are also made with a marker (or was it paint) that are allowed to get wet to some degree so when it rained during the first weekend that I got him, I was able to stand out in the rain for a little longer before I decided to join everyone else in cover away from the rain

Hands and FeetGives information about the hands and/or feet of the costume.

Wear Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to wear with regard to comfort, fit, material quality, etc.

The paws that I received fit my hands perfectly (even with the large hands that I have) and with the suit having 4 “fingers” there is enough room in one of the spaces for two of my fingers to fit in perfectly, and she contacted me before they were cut out to see which fingers I preferred to have next to each other. They are very soft and the pads on them are a really nice material that I get compliments on how they feel when I go out suiting!

Appearance Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to look at with regard to material quality, design, how closely it matches the concept, etc.

The hands look great and I have gotten a lot of comments about them, especially the pads. The white (off-white/gray) claws are just enough to pretend to scratch someone gently to get a point across if I choose to but soft enough that I could even do it to my youngest sister and she laughs saying that it tickles. The shaving and fur is even all the way around and it comes up to a decent length of my arm where I only have to wear a slightly longer shirt to hide as much of my skin as I can. Everything about the hands matched exactly to the reference art that I gave the artist when we first met

TailsGives information about any tails the costume may have.

Wear Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to wear with regard to comfort, fit, material quality, etc.

I was given a choice of how long I would have liked the tail to be, and me being big on tails, I went with the bigger option (4ft), not minding that it might drag along the floor a little bit. But it came with a loop that I can threat a belt through and wear it comfortably, and as long as the belt part of my outfit does its job (hold up whatever pants I am wearing) then the tail definitely does its job of tagging along for the ride. It may drag across the ground a little bit, but the brush I have is enough to pick off the bits of grass that I might pick up when I walk or with my fingers I am able to pick out the rest. Should I need to actually sit down and do a thorough clean, I am able to do so and not worry that it will come apart. And it is also soft enough that I am able to wrap my tail around my waist and walk with it in my hands if I am crossing questionably dirty terrain.

Appearance Satisfaction How satisfying this piece is to look at with regard to material quality, design, how closely it matches the concept, etc.

The tail is symmetric with all of the fur down to the tip matching in length. And it all feels just like the hands and head similar to what fur would feel like on any other suit that I have come in contact with. The seams are not visible and my younger sister loves picking it up and dropping it just like Boo does to Sullivan in Monsters Inc. and I will spin around to try to catch her in the act. Even if she holds on a little too long or gently pulls on it, it will remain on my waist as long as my belt holds up.I might get another tail just for dancing or when I know I will be more active just so I can limit how many times I have to clean the one I have, but this one will certainly be the one that matches this suit perfectly as the one and only tail for it, and so it will always be that special tail for wearing around the house or being in other areas I deem to be “safe for suiting”.

OverallHow satisfied the reviewer is with the overall buying experience, including their interactions with the maker and the resulting final product.

Product Satisfaction How satisfied the reviewer is with the overall look and feel of the costume in its entirety.

How well does everything fit together and match up?

The fur used for the head, the paws and the tail are all cut from the same material and it looks like it took longer than the maker had time for. The zipper fits just behind the fur on the head, the fur on the paws will smooth down just under whatever it is I am wearing (or fit comfortably on top if I choose to wear it over my clothes), and the tail fits just over my pants and under any long shirts to fit together all in one nice look whenever and wherever I go suiting

Overall Project Quality

I am very happy with the partial that I own today. I have a way to carry him around and I was given tips, I got a soft enough brush, and plenty of dryer sheets to keep him in great shape for years to come!

Purchase Process Details the interactions between the customer/reviewer and the maker of the item with regard to the buying process.

Initial Contact

She responded the day that I got in contact with her and since then she has been easy to get a hold of all throughout the making process. I saw the advertisement through an advertisement in an artist hangout in Discord and that is where most of our conversations were carried out along with her twitter. Whenever I wasn’t available to get a measurement for something (mostly the head dimensions) she would start on something else so that it was done within a reasonable time!

Maker Response Time

It only took a few hours at the most for her to get back to me which was very convenient since we both operate in the same time zone, but then I later found out that she works primarily night shifts so that was an added factor in making sure that she had everything that she needed from me so that she could focus on work and then get some rest before continuing on my partial.

Maker Professionalism

She was very professional all the way through the starting process up to the delivery and even invited me to a local furmeet which for me was just on the other side of the state which allowed me to meet her in person, meet a bunch of other members of the community that they have there, and also it allowed her to show me how to handle putting him on for the first time which for a new suiter, it is always something that would be appreciated. There were no excuses or details about their personal life until I got to actually meet them, but given that everyone has to make a life doing something, she was able to go about completing this project while completing her work until the very end! She even seemed to think ahead in terms of how I would get him home and she willingly gave me a tote to carry him with no expectation to get it back. She gave me tips on how to wash the suit when I got back from the event and how she did it, and she even sent me a few stickers with the company’s name on it and now one of these stickers is on the tote which will never be too far away from the suit itself.

Project Completion Time

I am very satisfied with how long it took to complete. If I had gone with a large company or brand for a fursuit, I might have been in a queue for the amount of time that she was able to complete my partial, so for that I am very grateful. Once the date got closer to the event that I first met her at, she worked even harder to have it finished by that date and when the date came, it was as finished as if it had been waiting for me instead of the other way around

Final Comments

I had an amazing first time putting everything on and it was thanks to her for arranging a photographer to get a few pictures before I bounced off to mingle at the event, but these pictures now posted up are the perfect example of everything that I got from her. It was my first time commissioning a suit and this was the first time that this maker has made all of these parts for one client all at once, so it was taking a big chance for the both of us, but we both did our part in making it come true and I have no one else to thank but her for all of the work that she put into him!
