HeadGives information about the head of the costume. If reviewing a set of ears, the answers would also go in this section.
The wear of the head is absolutely fantastic. I have a high sensitivity to materials, and frequently go through clothes that are too rough. I was worried about the feeling going into wearing it, but the lining is incredibly comfortable, like a blanket for my face! I can’t remember right now what fabric it was specifically, but before each part was built Breezy gave me clear information and options to what fabric they could create it with. As a first timer with relatively little knowledge of suiting, this was incredibly calming to know the amount of care put in. The material absorbs sweat to a decent degree, where the lining will feel a bit damp after multiple hours of use but cleaning and drying is incredibly easy.
The fit is also fabulous. It’s too tight to fit any extra items in like my glasses, and things like earbuds tend to become sore after multiple hours of use but when wearing it alone it feels amazing. Exaggerated movements like nodding, shaking my head, and general wackiness are really easy to achieve and have very little impact on the position of the head.
The ventilation is really good as well. It certainly can get a bit stuffy after a few hours, but I feel much more clean and comfortable breathing than I expected!
Finally, the vision is another thing that works great for me! The material used is pretty and impossible to see inside of from the outside, and is very reliable to see through. As with most eyes of this type, there is no peripheral vision and I have to turn my head a bit to see some things. However, if I’m doing a singular activity for a long period of time (i.e. Omegle) it is very easy to focus in on a specific area and see comfortably for the most part!
The appearance of the suit is absolutely gorgeous. I really enjoy the stylistic decisions Breezy made with Cass, almost all of which they asked me for feedback and opinions of in every stage. The markings are completely symmetrical, and any small differences in facial structure on each side are incredibly charming. The shaving is very nice as well, it feels soft and even from every direction! The transitions from fur types are great as well, moving towards longer furs with the ears and patterns on the side of the face. Everything looks natural and “feels” like it should.
The fur itself looks fantastic. It’s all really, really soft and smooth. The brushing has been really easy so far as well, each time only yields a bit of shedding. The expression of the suit is adorable, and really easy to emote with! The manually closable mouth and foldable ears feel really natural and safe to do, and can lead to lots of fun pictures to take. The eyes are static, but very emotive with the rest of the suit in mind!
The match to the concept art is absolutely breathtaking. Cass has a relatively simple design, but Breezy did a remarkable job translating smaller things like character quirks and personality into the suit. The only thing changed was the number of colors, and even then they still are used correctly and layered in a way that the simplification is hard to notice.
Hands and FeetGives information about the hands and/or feet of the costume.
Right now, I only have handpaws, but am quite happy with how they turned out! They’re super comfortable and really, really well padded, along with being very easy to put on. As mentioned earlier there’s a slight defect with the lining, but taking the extra 3 seconds to check that I’m not inside of the padding is quick and easy. Moving the individual digits is easy, but figuring out how far to move my fingers for the desired result of the digit itself took a bit of getting used to! I feel comfortable making exaggerated gestures and hand movements, as the build feels incredibly sturdy.
The handpaws are very well fit to my hands. I’m able to take them off in around 5 seconds each, and I’ve never had an issue with them slipping or falling off my hands during use. The writsts are super well done as well, and go more than far enough. There’s never a worry that my skin will show.
Again, the interior is absolutely lovely. I’ve never overheated in them to this point from inside use, and feel very cozy using them for long periods of time. After sessions of more than a few hours large seam marks will stay on my hands for a few hours, but they never hurt or bother me.
I may sound like a broken record, but the appearance is wonderful! They are completely symmetrical from what I can see, and very, very well made. They match the design nicely, and manage to be cute and toony while also relatively able to do basic actions and motions. The shaving work on the fur is really really good. At some points around the pawpads it can be a bit uneven, but it always looks natural in the context of the style. The mix of long and short fur looks fantastic, and is really nice to pet/touch from the outside.
There are no claws, and the pads are made out of a VERY SOFT minky if I remember correctly.
TailsGives information about any tails the costume may have.
The tail’s wear has been great so far! It’s really solid, pretty, and easy to brush. I’ve been using a reverse slicker brush and so far it’s been a joy to handle.
My tail has definitely had the most accidents, as I’ve sat on it a few times and it’s lookin’ just fine after sustainin’ them 250 pounds! I tend to be pretty inactive when suiting, but I’ve moved around a lot in short time periods and it always stays on tight and comfy.
The appearance of the tail is wonderful. The markings are symmetrical and very accurate to the characters design, with the blending between colors looking really beautiful in the final product. The fur used feels fantastic and is very easy to brush into the desired place.
It’s definitely on the more firm side of things, and doesn’t really bend into other shapes which I don’t mind! It guarantees no matter what it’s gonna look snazzy and well-formed and it looks really natural when moving.
OverallHow satisfied the reviewer is with the overall buying experience, including their interactions with the maker and the resulting final product.
As for consistency with the maker’s style, I couldn’t be more pleased. It is undeniably the same style I fell in love with in their previous work, but it seems every piece they make is more polished and perfected than the last. I mentioned this before, but how personalized this feels to me was a huge benefit.
I tend to be a worrier, and they helped me with step by step walkthroughs for almost the whole process. I’m still really thankful for that, as it made the scariest part of the experience really fun and enjoyable for me.
There was never a point where I was worried or unsure about the suit’s status, it’s the safest I could imagine feeling with a large commission like this.
Pardon my dumb analogies, but it’s like the family-owned restaurant in town with the best food AND the most fun employees to get to know and chatter with. It’s not something I went in looking for, but it really made the experience one of a kind and something I’ll cherish for a long time.
My experience with Seabreeze Fox was fantastic. I would 100% recommend and vouch for them as a creator as my work with them was so enjoyable, but it’s always important to go in knowing what to expect! I think specifically people looking for a personalized, slower-paced but very caring maker should consider working with them.
It’s really hard to understate how worth it this was. I could’ve gotten a suit at half the make and quality for this price point and still would’ve considered it a steal, at this level of passion put in it’s really astonishing how pleased I am with it is!
