HeadGives information about the head of the costume. If reviewing a set of ears, the answers would also go in this section.
Only a slightly loose fit, but it’s mostly the added weight of the ears and muzzle that make it slip around just a bit while wearing. This hasn’t caused any issue though, I take breaks often enough to take a breather and adjust my balaclava if it gets jostled from the movement. The ventilation is PERFECT, even without the fan I installed later for my own comfort, the breathability in this suit is amazing because the mouth can open up so big! Vision is also great. The eyes are so big, so there’s a lot of mesh space to allow for fantastic vision. Just the usual muzzle blindspot and lack of peripherals are the only sight issues, but this is the case with every fursuit I’ve ever had.
Absolutely gorgeous work. There’s a lot of really cute little details like the brown markings around the eyes and the pretty swishy hair. I love how the big ears flop a bit too, it adds a lot of character when I’m performing for others. Shaving is very well handled, I haven’t seen any bad or bald spots. All the markings are even as well, there was a lot of obvious attention to details in symmetry. There was no concept art given for this suit since it was artistic liberty, but I just love how the design turned out. The magnetic eyebrows also make for some very wonderful expressions and character to the suit.
BodyGives information about the main body of the costume. If reviewing a separate set of pants/legs or torso, the answers would also go in this section.
The body fits very well! There’s a few baggy spots around my shoulders and thighs, but this works great for me since I have some mobility issues that a tighter suit could have impaired further. I’ve been testing the durability of seams and stress points while in use (Doing things like stretching up my arms, kneeling down etc) and haven’t popped any seams yet! There’s no padding for this suit (I specifically wanted it to be plantigrade) so no lining was needed/included. The body was surprisingly lightweight and breathable, I really like the varieties of fur that’s been used!
Appearance wise, the body looks fantastic. As with the face, everything lines up symmetrically. I was surprised that even with an artistic liberty design, there was so much done to make the markings and colors very unique to the character they created. I think my favorite areas are the super soft tummy and leg fur.
Since the character is a bat, the wings are permanently attached to the body suit. I had a bit of trouble wearing them at first since the metal structure that originally came with it was a bit too harsh on my right hand (Carpal tunnel issues) but this was quickly fixed once I figured out the problem and came up with a quick fix. This was mostly my own oversight since I wasn’t considering the weight and strain having big wings could put on my wrist. The quality is absolutely wonderful though! The inner membrane is a stretchy spandex, and the back of the fingers is felt. The back of the arms also have small zippers so I can let my hands go free when taking breaks. A genius move on MFL’s part, I would have never thought of that!
Hands and FeetGives information about the hands and/or feet of the costume.
I’ll use this section to describe the feet since this suit has large wings. The feet are very comfy, especially after I put some support inserts in them! They seem to be built on a pair of sneakers, making them fit so nicely, and perfect for walking a lot. I also enjoyed the bit orange claws, nice and sturdy! The soles are outdoor foam.
The feet are made from the same soft fur on the tummy and ears, so I love them! They also have some cute bright orange claws which make a really great contrast.
(None for the feet)
TailsGives information about any tails the costume may have.
The suit has a cute little nubby tail attached to the body and set low, just like a real bat. It’s stuffed nice and tight too, so it sticks out so cutely when being worn.
Looks amazing, I love the fur choices for the simple markings.
WingsGives information about any wings the costume may have.
As stated in the body section, the wings are permanently attached. After making some fixes to suit my needs, the wings are very comfortable and easy to wear! I’m a bit worried about the zippers on the back of the arms since they’re quite small and I feel like I might break them, but nothing has happened yet!
Absolutely wonderful. The wings have such a great and natural shape to them, they’re exactly what I was hoping for with this suit. They also have some fantastic movement when I walk around or stretch them out.
The wings have a special structure inside mostly made from metal (Very durable!) The internal structure is easily removed so I can wash the suit too, I really appreciate this detail since I hate hand washing a suit! With the removable interior, I just put her in the washing machine with no issues!
OverallHow satisfied the reviewer is with the overall buying experience, including their interactions with the maker and the resulting final product.
I am very happy with this suit. I would recommend MFL for anyone looking for that super toony style to bring a bouncy and exciting character to life! The quality of the materials chosen and handiwork that went into this suit is very impressive. The only delay issues that happened I believe could be blamed on things outside of anyone’s control (I do remember forest fire evacuations were an issue at some point during the process, so I don’t blame the maker for that of course!)
