We have been friends for years, so it was super easy.
Communication was good, I was kept informed as we went. She talked in a friendly but professional tone whenever it was about my fursuit commission.
We didn't really put a deadline on it from what I can remember. It was done in time for EF, which I was very satisfied with.
Extremely. Unity went way beyond what she had to do and nailed my fursona to perfection. The fur is all suer soft and I was a part of picking out which ones I'd like. Everything is durable and any issues are easy fixes.
The bodysuit and short tail unfortunately got into a bad washing machine and look/feel more crunchy now. Maker has helped with as much advice as she could – the bodysuit/tail is still useable after her help. This accident was my own doing, and I really appreciate her help in undoing that mistake.
Head is very comfortable to wear and sits well. I made the foam base myself for my own commission as agreed with the maker, and I accidentally made the base too big, which is not the makers fault.
It it fully lined with sweat-wicking fabric. It has a fan in the beak that blows fresh air in my face. The wire is well hidden and connects to a powerbank in the back of the neck. I was instructed for what powerbank to use to keep the fan working.
Vision is great and there are barely any parts of the eye mesh that is clogged up.
It is easy to pull the head on. The neck is a bit tight to get through, but this is not an issue once I have wiggled my head in.
Beautiful! Head is symmetric, there are no bald spots, the head features beautiful highlighted airbrushing. She captured the look of Mico perfectly. The poofy hair was an important part of the head for me, and she nailed it – its big, poofy, and matches the reference sheet.
Colours match the ref. Maker suggested changing eyebrows into a brown and it looks amazing, so I updated my reference afterwards.
Ears/feathers are full of motion as I requested and adds loads of character to him. The eyelids really change his energy too.
Beak is made of minky and looks + feels super smooth.
Bodysuit is very comfortable. Hands are attached, right arm has a hidden zipper so I can use my hand. Feet are zip-on by the knee. Back wings attach through reinforced holes in the back. Said holes has worn a bit over wear, but not ripped, and the maker has updated her method for this to be more durable for future suits.
Leg padding attaches via internal buttons and loops and stay in place regardless of activity levels. Padding is soft polyfill-stuffed pillows.
Legs are a little bit difficult to get into, as feet have to be zipped on when I put it on, but not impossible. I was instructed in how to easiest get into the suit when I picked it up – and once I get my feet into the feetpaws, it sits very comfortably. Over time it has gotten super easy to do.
The original zipper broke, due to the zipper itself, not the maker, so it had to be replaced. I did this myself.
Some zippers has gotten loose, but they were easy fixes. Otherwise no popped seams, everything has held up nicely.
It looks SO good! Leg padding is appropriate for my body size/shape, wing holes are invisible and blend in nicely, and feathers have good motion, tail tube sits flush with both tails, everything looks smooth and natural. Kangaroo pouch is working – I can carry stuff around in there. The body has different fur lengths that blends great together! Colours match the reference sheet.
I also got partial hands, which are identical to the attached hands. They are lined at the top and cuffed. Easy to get into and easy to wear in general.
Looks exactly like the hands on the bodysuit. Materials and patterns are all the same, so they are a perfect replica.
Both tails have stiff sewn-in feathers and a stuff backing with nylon belt loops. Easy to wear and put on. Large tail has weighted beads in it, so it flops in a very satisfying way. Short tail hovers a bit above ground and is perfect for outdoor activity. Both tails are easy to slot into the tail tunnel on the bodysuit. They have plenty of room to wiggle in, but not so much that you can see gaps between tunnel and tail.
They fit my expectations! Both match the reference; I requested short tail to only have one yellow stripe and the second to have two. Wonderful movement and wonderful look.
They are a little difficult to get into, as mentioned earlier, but sit nicely when my heel hits the bottom. They're built on foam around a pair of crocs. Very lightweight. Lined with sweat-wicking fabric and mildly stuffed. Easy to wear and not cumbersome at all, both as fullsuit and partial.
Over the moon!!! There are minky scales glued onto the feet in layers, which give an amazing look that really makes them pop! Minky matches the head in colour. Claws are beautiful and perfect in size and colour to reference. They don't feel flat as they were ladder stitched directly onto the finished feet.
Wings are backpack-style and sit on an EVA foam base strapped to my chest with nylon straps underneath the suit. They're easy to put on and sit sturdy on my chest.
