i submitted a quote form and heard back within a week via instagram
the first communications with oakley were fast and efficient, discussing materials and measurements. The longer i waited on their queue the worse their communication got. I often had to message 3-4 days in a row before hearing anything back even if it was a small quick answer. The communication broke down after the second time they missed my deadline and i called them out on their poor service. Oakley often said they would be providing wips or an update but then went weeks before replying again or giving any suit updates.
No. i was supposed to receive my commission for may 2020 but i understood when they missed that first deadline, but the next 3 were also missed and i was lied to about when i would receive anything. i had to dm them explaining all of my issues before they rushed my suit out to me.
No. i was let down by my maker. she missed my ETAs a good 3-4 times and went very overdue with my commission. Upon bringing up the damages and overall quality to my maker she told me it was either the mails fault or my own and then told me she never rushed my suit even though it was apparent she had. Within 3 months of owning her i had to send her away for refurbishments because she was so uncomfortable to wear. Ramen was not worth the $880 i paid for her.
The fursuit head is very tight to wear despite me giving my measurements. She pushes on my throat and on the bridge of my nose very roughly. The vision is the only redeeming quality as i can see very well out of the eyes. The ventilation is not great as the mouth was made very small.
Ramens muzzle was extremely crooked upon unboxing her and as soon as I brought this up to Oakley she claimed it was because of how she was shipped in the box. It was NOT a transport issue as it never bounced back. One of her teeth was stuck inside the fleece and wasnt popped through properly, and after thinking that her other tooth had fallen out I found it INSIDE her mouth lining.
Her shaving was extremely poor with bald spots on the back of her ears, her face, muzzle and next to her eyes which Oakley had told me she would fix before shipping her, they were not.
Her muzzle was upsettingly flat which was different to how the wips i was sent looked. She resembled a pug and was so embarrassing to wear because of how she looked from the side.
The eyes were supposed to be follow me eyes but dont really work because of her face shape.
Her reference sheet was extremely clear in how big her ear proportion was to her head and they were ridiculously small, her right ear is BARELY visible behind her hair.
With her muzzle being so flat there was absolutely no way to wear her without a lot of my face and chin extremely visible through her mouth
