When I contacted them, I used Instagram DMs and they were very quick to respond! They normally conduct business via email, they have a quote form linked in the bio of their socials. The link tree is easy to navigate and easy to read!
The maker responded very fast despite timezone differences, I never had to wait more than a few hours for a response! Just to be safe about personal information we switched to email a few times which is understandable but our conversations never got lost and were easy to follow! They were very detailed when communicating prices, wait times, shipping, etc. I am very happy with their communication!
As mine was a pre-made all they had to do was make the feet paws which took a few weeks as they had to make 4 pairs, it was very fast! Their project completion time was very accurate!
Happy doesn't even begin to describe how satisfied I am with the quality of the suit. The unique style, the goodies they provide, the quality and detail they put into their suits, it's all around just amazing! I have no regrets buying a fursuit from Alecrim. They were lovely to work with and super kind! They deserve some love! The suit is so well made and so durable, it definitely will last a very long time, I know it. My issues with the suit are mainly just personal things that can be easily fixed. The only big thing was my issue with the belt loop and the look of it, that's all. Overall they do incredible work. The design is very well made and the colours work nicely together!
The head is a one size fits all. There is an adjustable helmet that can be taken out. I have mine on the smallest setting and it fits snugly (I am 5'0 and have a tiny head for reference). There is ventilation holes in the ears, however it is still pretty difficult to breath in as the mouth is very small. This might be just me as I do have asthma, and any confined, warm space will be hard for me to breath in regardless of how well ventilated it is. Because the head has an adjustable helmet inside and isn't customs made to your measurements it does wiggle quite a bit, but never feels like it'll come apart/fall off. I can wear ut for several hours with short breaks in between, it is overall very comfortable! There is lining inside the head and a balaclava is provided so getting sweat on the head itself is very rare. Cleaning spray is provided so you can still clean it. The base is made of Eva foam so it is VERY sturdy. The horns are attached with a tube that screws into holes in the head so they come loose easily but as long as you aren't rough with the head they will stay on for as long as you have them on. The eyelashes (?? Red part around the eyes haha) are secured with glue and are sturdy, they will not come off unless you pry them off forcefully lol. As the head is one size fits all the vision may be better for others than it is for me. I have a tiny head so for me i can only look through one eye at a time and I have to turn my head to the side to be able to see in front of me as there is no visibilty directly in front of me. Either way it's a great quality head from some amazing makers!
The design is incredible, it was my first fursuit and I am beyond happy with how it looks! There are no exposed seams and the fur colours blend nicely into each other. The shaving isn't choppy and is very smooth! The piercings have to be adjusted frequently as they can slip off if I knock the head on anything but other than that the visual quality is incredible! Symmetry is perfect, there isn't any part that isn't symmetrical. The fur is high quality and feels super soft. The only places it's "crunchy" is around the glued parts but there's only one spot that happens and it isn't noticeable in person or in photos! Easily brushed and normal amount of hair fallout with brushing. The airbrushing on the nose doesn't bleed and hasn't faded for the whole year I've had it! Eyes are follow me and this translates in pictures and in person. The suit matches the reference they provided perfectly!
The wings are worn like a backpack and the straps are adjustable. They are very comfortable to wear and just feel like wearing a bag. I have sensory issues with things touching my arms and armpit areas but if I wear a short sleeve top under the straps I barely notice them! I have full movement of my arms, it doesn't restrict movement like certain straps I've worn have lol
There were 2 pairs of wings that came with the suit, one large pair and one small pair. The large pair can be seen from any angle and look amazing. The smaller ones can only be seen from the side and back, not from the front as my body is wide and blocks them. This can be fixed by just adjusting the straps to be a bot tighter so they sit higher than normal so they can be seen over my shoulders! The only issue is that they are easily warped. I store the wings in a bucket full of other fursuit parts so they are a tiny bit squished and the edges of the wings have curled over time.
This suit came with 2 sets of paws, hand paws (similar to bear paws) and hand hooves. The pre-made suits have one size fits all hand paws so they are a bit big on me (again, I'm 5'0 so that's a me thing lol) there's great movement in the paws but the hooves are difficult to move in. I can only move my wrist on the hooves, which is normal for hooves. The paws have some thick paw pads so they are difficult to hold stuff in, don't event try to pick anything up with them haha. Claws are made of resin so they are durable, they've take quite the beating from me accidentally smacking walls that I couldn't see, or getting caught on tables and they haven't come loose and they don't have any scratches. The sewing is very sturdy, with everything I've put them through there have been no popped seams or tears in any of the fabric! Both pairs of hands are lined and have been through the wash and they've both held up extremely well!
The fur on the hands gets messed up easily but can also be fixed easily, usually just running one hand over the opposite is enough to lay the fur flat. Both pairs of paws are symmetrical and look amazing together. The fur on the top of the paws near the wrist is a bit crunchy and hard to brush but definitely is starting to loosen with each brush.
The tail is very comfortable to wear! The fur around the base of the tail tangles easily but can just be brushed out. The belt loops is quite big and hard to hide if you don't have a jacket. The belt loops sits at the top of the tail so the belt has to sit higher than normal. It's still comfortable to wear! The tail has removable stuffing so it can be washed!
The tail has "exposed meat" at the base which is super cute and adds cushion so it's more comfortable to wear. The zipper for the removable stuffing is hidden on the bottom so it can't be seen. The colours nicely transition from one to the next, it's very visually appealing! My only issue is the large belt loop, it's just a cylinder on top of the tail and sticks out. I think it would look nicer if the belt loop was attached to the middle of the base of the tail. Other than that it's very nice!
The feet were made to my measurements once I bought the fursuit, they fit nicely! My only issue is because of the way I walk (my feet turn outwards when I walk) my foot often slips off the foam base. This poses no visual issue, from the outside it looks completely normal, it's just a bit awkward for me. The top of the foot is long enough that it doesn't show anything no matter which way I move, jump, run, etc. The fur can be easily brushed and dirt comes out very easily. I live near a forest and have taken photos in there so I've gotten them full of dirt, leaves and sticks. The fur was super easy to clean and the seams and glue held up! Just a quick brush, pick out the big sticks, use a washcloth for the dirt then dry over a vent or with a hair dryer on cold and they were good as new! There is lining on the inside of the paws!
The hooves have nautical varnish so they are fully water safe! Perfect symmetry, no exposed seams, fur is high quality and looks incredible!
With the suit came, three removable tongues, 2 Bows, a collar, 2 maker pins, extra padding, a character badge, scent beads inside each fursuit part, and scented fursuit spray. The tongues are supposed to attach to the mouth with a magnet but the magnet inside the mouth was hard to find and when I did find it, it didn't work well. I just stick the tongues inside the mouth and use the resin teeth to hold it in place which hold surprisingly well, its pretty hard to yank out haha. The Bows are attached via a pin and are easy to put on, they're super cute and don't fall off at all! The collar is attached by a buckle and it's super simple to use. The maker pins are cute circular pins that came in 2 colours, one in red and one in white! They have a simplistic design and are fun to wear! I'm not sure what the extra padding was originally for but I use them to keep my feet in place in the feetpaws lol! They attach by velcro. The character badge comes with a lanyard that has a clip on the end, the badge itself is double sided and shows the character in 2 different emotions, mine has holographic sparkles on it as well as the character name! The scent beads keep the fursuit smelling nice in shipping and while in storage! There's one small bag of scent beads for each fursuit part. I'm my case this goes for the head, both pairs of paws (4 in total for just the paws) and both pairs of feetpaws (4 for each paw individually). The scent of the beads is incredible, I'm not sure what scent it is exactly but it was made by Alecrim Carmim themselves. The fursuit spray is the same scent as the scent beads and it has directions to use on the bottle, which I love, makes it easy to use! All these goodies that came with the fursuit was so thoughtful and nice, I am beyond happy with everything they provide, they are wonderful makers.
