I had notifications on for their twitter so I wouldn't miss the opening. They sent very clear instructions for the duct tape dummy (A youtube video showing how to do it) as well as the other parts. Maker CommunicationCFStudios is the most professional I have ever seen. They always replied the same day to any questions or feedback. They were very pleasant to work with and communicated clearly. Project Completion Timemy project was taken in january but for the third quarter completion. normally if I recall their commissions are completed the same quarter but they wanted to fit me in for third quarter since I had applied previously but it was out of my budget the first time I had applied a year or two before. CFStudios had their sewing machine break towards the end resulting in a two day delay… their timelines are so great that they apologized for a two day delay like I haven't heard of other makers going months past the estimated date. The suit shipped in a timely manner from there. Overall Project QualityOverall I couldn't be more happy with how CFStudios brought Silverbeak to life! I love bringing her to conventions and furmeets. I use the wings to wrap people in big hugs like a blanket. No seams have ever popped. MY suit definitely exceeded my expectations and was worth the price I paid. Everything matches up at the seams. All markings keep the correct shape. All colors are consistent. everything fits corrrectly. This product is consistent with the maker's style and I would not have commissioned anyone else for an avian as CFStudios was my top and only pick. Components Head Wear SatisfactionThe fursuit head fits great! the beak is made of armor foam and the inside of the head is lined. there is a zipper in the back of the head as well as an elastic band that fits around the back of the head to keep it in place. the eyes are a little hard to see out of partially because I wear glasses and they fog up. perhaps if more of the eye was mesh that would prevent fogging up? I don't know I'm not a maker. There is a large blind spot in the middle. I can see below me through the beak a bit. Visual SatisfactionThe fursuit head is absolutely gorgeous. I told the makers to make it however they wanted and that I would only nitpick on how the armor for the beak was done. They came up with a great solution to the beak's intricate design and I'm very happy with how it turned out. head is symmetrical with even shaving on good quality fur. The expression they came up with for the face is so pretty and with the added eyelids I can make her look tired or angry as well. The only difference from concept art is the beak engraving being simplified. One-Piece Body Wear Satisfactionthe bodysuit fits perfectly. I think I told them that I would be transitioning and to add a little chest space. even 3 years after starting HRT I can wear both a cooling vest and a normal bra no problem under the bodysuit. if anything it fits like a glove now. The quality and durability is perfect. I have never had a single issue with popped seams or broken zippers. The feet are lined. Air flows through the body just fine. Visual Satisfactionthe body is totally symmetric and matches the design. The fur is nice and easy to brush with a normal fursuit brush. all the padding is sewn in so it won't move around and it gives the body great curves and shape! CFStudios is known for those thick thighs and butts! Hands Wear Satisfactionfits like a glove. CFStudios had me trace my handprints on a sheet of paper so that they can have an accurate size for the handpaws. the paws are also lined. Visual Satisfactionthe big talons are attached really well and I've never had to worry about any rips or tears. Lower Body Wear Satisfactionfits great! perfect range of movement. great quality and durable as hell. it's a little hard to step into the shoes inside the paws because of the lining but a little care and effort and its no biggie. the feet attach to the body by a zipper where the fur color changes. CFStudios ALSO does zippers on their tails now but mine it was not necessary because it's a small fan tail compared to some of the giant tails they have made since mine. Visual SatisfactionThe lower body looks great! the fur also hides the footpaw zippers perfectly. the bottom of the footpaws is a really sturdy foam that I've managed to walk in really rough terrain in without problem. Tail Wear Satisfactionthe tail fits comfortably. It has never torn or popped a seam. the tail is attached to the bodysuit and does not come off. If you are planning to commission CFStudios your tail will likely be able to come off with a zipper but mine was made before they started doing that. Visual SatisfactionThe tail is as beautiful as the big 6 foot wingspan. very neatly made and matches the concept art. Feet Wear Satisfactionthe lining and padding makes it a little tricky to slip on the shoes. I usually reach my hand in there to pull the lining back so its not in the shoe with my foot. but once my foot is in it's a great fit. Visual Satisfactionthe paws are fantastic. I love how giant the talons are. they make me look like a real menace. when I'm stomping around a convention. they are of course perfectly symmetrical like every other part of the suit. Special FeaturesWings! Silverbeak has a 6 foot wingspan from wing tip to wing tip. they are attached to the arm sleeves and have wooden dowels inside that can be removed at the tiny holes that are hidden by brass snaps. The dowels are so that I can hold on to the rods to spread the wings out as far as they can go and I do that for nearly every photo sinced they are so beautiful and I'm proud to show them off.
