I first contacted her about the commission via Twitter when she posted about a slot opening. We messaged there for a bit before switching to Telegram. Maker CommunicationShe's always very quick to respond, both on Twitter and Telegram! Dj is super friendly and great to work with, her communication regarding the updates on the suit was fantastic. I received so many progress pics, videos, and status updates throughout our conversations regarding the updates on the suit! Project Completion TimeI was very impressed by how quickly the project was completed. I didn't ask for a deadline but the suit was completed extremely fast and way before I'd been anticipating. The communication was great, and I received updates on a regular basis. Dj and I live in the same area, so when my suit was completed I just drove over to her house to pick it up instead of having it shipped. Overall Project QualityI am extremely satisfied with the head overall! It's by far the most comfortable head I've ever worn. The durability is AMAZING, I've worn it so much and I haven't had any popped seams or had to make any repairs whatsoever. I'm genuinely so impressed with the quality of the head in regards to its durability. I managed to squeeze it in a carry-on bag while flying to a convention and when I pulled it out of the bag after it was crammed in there for around 9 hours it was still in perfect shape. The eyes, teeth, and fangs are so secure, they haven't come loose at all! This project absolutely exceeded my expectations, and I'm certain this suit will last a VERY long time. Components Head Wear SatisfactionThe head is a perfect fit, the inside is lined with neoprene which makes it extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time. It's easy to clean, and sweat isn't much of an issue. The head has plenty of space to accommodate for my glasses, and the ventilation is excellent! Unlike some other suits I've worn I've never had an issue with my glasses fogging up while wearing Sasparilla. The vision is also amazing, I can see clearly through the eye mesh with only a small blind spot directly in front of me, and if necessary the mouth is wide enough for me to peer through. Visual SatisfactionI'm very satisfied with how the head looks! The minky on the face does have visible seams, but I was expecting that since it was my maker's first time doing a character with an entirely minky face. She did a fantastic job though! The markings are pretty symmetrical and the transition between the different fur colors on the ears is seamless! Only the ears are shaved, but the shave job is very clear and even. The transition between the fur and minky is great, it flows together just right! The entire head is very soft, the eyes are exactly the style I wanted, and the fangs are very durable. The only flaw is the light tan on the bottom jaw should've been on part of the muzzle, but it's really not noticable and I'm still very satisfied with the accuracy of the head to the reference images!
