I believe I learned of Sudoku's work via a reddit post around half a year before commissioning her. I got in contact and inquired, and stayed in touch with her through then. She made the process extremely easy, and I was selected for her first commissioned fullsuit (She had done a couple of fullsuits prior to mine as premade or personal pieces)
She made it clear as to what was needed and clarified whenever I had questions.
The maker made communication easy, and responded within less than a day in all instances that I can think of. She communicated frequently throughout the entire process.
She treated me extremely well. She treated me in a friendly manner, but was still extremely clear about everything. She is easy to get along with.
I cannot recall any instances of excuses on her part.
The project was finished quickly, and my position in the queue (albeit a quite short queue) was kept clear. Progress was extremely clear, but I do not recall details about if we discussed timing early on or not.
Shipping was quick and easy! I believe shipping was provided, and I think it was handled via USPS or UPS.
I am extremely happy with the product. Wearability and durability have been great.
Sudoku did an excellent job working with me on getting Arin constructed. She went above and beyond expectations with her work and put in an insane amount of effort to make him work as best as possible.
Everything fits reasonably well. I have gained some bulk since originally commissioning Arin, so he's a bit snug, but still fully fits despite this.
The suit matches well with the maker's prior work!
Head fits nicely, includes removable forehead padding modules for adjustment. Maker specially made it to fit my glasses, I'm blind without them and am unable to use contacts, so that was an incredibly nice inclusion.
Lined with neoprene, cleaning is easy. Typically just use fursuit spray and wipe the interior with an isopropyl soaked paper towel.
Vision is excellent, I maintain most of my visible field. There is a central blind column, but it's not severe.
Breathing is decent, air flow could potentially be improved.
Symmetry is good, markings are fairly simple making it easy! They match the character design well.
Shaving is even, backing visible in only very small regions. Neck fur is easily brushable, the rest of the face doesn't really require much brushing.
Material feels fine, especially for the limited materials available during construction.
I'm happy with how everything turned out and expressions work well! The suit has a pair of magnetic eyelids, though magnetization has been an issue. That was an experimental feature that the maker had not previously attempted, and could be revised in later suits if utilized.
Bodysuit fits well – Fit has worsened slightly over time due to some weight gain (~20-40 pounds gained, approximately 160-180 when DTD was provided). Movement is easy.
Quality is and construction are of great quality! Haven't had popped seams to my knowledge. The fabric has torn in the rear before, but the design flaw that contributed to that occurring has been resolved with the aid of another maker, and should be implemented on future bodysuits.
Interior is unlined. Sweat hasn't been an issue, though I use underarmour and already don't sweat much.
Airflow is fine, especially with forced air systems (fans, leafblowers, etc).
Symmetry is good! Markings match well, only minor side-to-side deviations on the back arrows (Though that may be a result of wearing it).
Shaving is even – Transitions on ref switch immediately between colors, implementation matched that.
Fur feels fine, quality varies by type – Pandemic period furs were of questionable quality, but the maker did an amazing job regardless of that.
Colors match well for much of the suit, blue markings deviate slightly from intended saturation.
Matches concept art well! Minor marking changes were made to the back markings, reducing the total number of arrows from reference.
Hands fit reasonably well, and are comfortable. Movement is good, but dexterity is limited due to padding. Wrists can show if I stretch too much – The paws do not reach far up my arms.
Quality is good, durability has been decent (Though the claws have had chipped paint. This issue can be resolved with black thermoplastic base instead of painted white)
Interior is unlined. There is a pad loaded into each paw, fit behind the wearer's hand – This is removable for simple cleaning, though the entire paw is easily washable.
I'm happy with the hand paws. No significant markings are present, beyond the pawpads, which are symmetrical. Claws all face the right way.
Shaving is great quality.
Materials feel great.
Colors and materials have worked well. The hands are webbed otter paws.
They match the concept reasonably well.
WONDERFULLY LARGE. The tail fits great, movement's easy! Sitting can be difficult in fullsuit, but that's subject to environmental conditions. Simple enough to put on the tail.
Quality is great. Seams have busted or come undone over time, but repairs have been quick.
Symmetry is great, markings are close to symmetrical and match the reference well.
Shaving is great, transitions are clean.
Materials worked out well! Attachment point to the body has been revised with reinforcement, and should be factored in by the maker into later designs.
Tail moves as expected It's a floordragger, so there's not a huge amount of movement unless I intentionally work it.
Tail matches concept extremely well! Markings are simplified, but they get the same idea over well.
Feet are comfortable, movement is fairly easy. They stay on fairly well, but are slightly loose and liable to shifting.
Quality is great. Only minor issues with seams busting or coming undone over time. These have been mended easily.
Claws are thermoplastic. They had questionable attachment early on – Maker had me return the paws and revised the attachment, and have had no issues with that since.
Feet are lined with neoprene, and have (to my knowledge) some form of high density neoprene soles. Cleaning is simple, and both pairs can be fully immersed in water with detergent for cleaning.
Symmetry and shaving are good. Claws face intended direction reasonably well.
Material feels great! The neoprene interiors make them feel like slippers, I've fallen asleep with them on. They're incredibly comfortable. Material's fairly easy to brush and smooth.
Fully happy with the materials! I do plan to switch to fabric feet claws for future suits – Hard claws serve no real purpose on feetpaws for myself, and thus should just use materials that have less risk of damage.
Matches the concept art well – Design was modified due to the suit being constructed as plantigrade instead of digigrade. Happy with outcome.
Would you recommend this maker?
This means the reviewer would recommend PunkMarten.
I look forwards to working with her again in the future on a fully redone version of the suit with improved materials, new designs, and enhanced techniques and tech!
