Maker CommunicationI’ve never had anyone send me updates quickly and asked questions on how things should be done. It made me realize my previous experiences with other makers haven’t been the greatest. Project Completion TimeConsidering I waited 3-5 years for suits, this was done in less than 6 months after paying. When my turn came around in the queue, it was done in 3-4 days. Caprikki is a hard working absolute unit. Overall Project QualityFursuit Maker review I am very happy with my finished product and I’ve never had a fursuit maker actually communicate with me regularly before till working with Caprikki, so 11/10 on that. My previous maker would send an update maybe once or twice a year only after I bothered them for 3-4 years. This was the most stress free experience I’ve had commissioning anyone and I look forward to getting more fursuits from Caprikki again! Fursuit overview To make things clear, I am ROUGH on fursuits as a dancer and so far it’s stood up well. The quality is fabulous, I’ve never had a soft and light fursuit head before and it doesn’t feel like it will shatter into a million pieces if I dropped it like my other 10 pound hardhat of a fursuit head. I get a lot of compliments at cons and gatherings with it so I feel like I’m not just overhyping myself with the looks of the suit aesthetically and I’m not the only one enjoying it. Cleaning and drying seem to not be too complicated with a bissel so far, the material plays nicely with a wide variety of fursuit sprays that I alternate between. Since this was a head only commission, I just throw a hooded poncho over and it just works! I had a friend make my paws and arm sleeves for it and so far it’s a lot of fun just to walk around the house in! Conclusion The fursuit I received was 100% how I expected it to turn out and more. Very consistent style with Caprikkis other work, I’ve been afraid of receiving a product that was different from the example suits but this was a nice breath of fresh air for me from my previous experiences with other makers. I’m actually excited to get more fursuits in the future for my business mascots! My friend down the road from me is now waiting to have their suit done and we are so excited to be suit siblings that are practically neighbors! If you were on the fence about finding a fursuit maker and aren’t too sure where to start, Caprikki has many beautiful pre-made characters to pick from as well! Components Head Wear SatisfactionIt’s very easy to put on since this is my first foam base suit head vs all the zip up 3D printed on a hardhat Russian style heads. It’s a little snug but that’s because I wear glasses haha. Maybe I’ll switch to contacts just for this head (it would be 💯% worth it) This head was also produced in 3-4 days which I’ve never seen anyone work that fast in my life from start to finish. Ventilation is about average for a fursuit head, vision is better than my other heads. Holds up well so far! Visual SatisfactionIt’s very cute and I think it really captures the Tanuki look for intentionally not being a “Kemono” style fursuit. Came out very symmetrical and the shaved short fur section looks pretty good! Just need to use a light brush for it occasionally and a regular brush for the longer sections. The fur feels like comfortable and doesn’t shed nearly as bad as my dragon fursuit. I’m constantly spitting out extra fur from my mouth with the other two.
