I was able to DM via telegram to amend my quote and communication continued there. Maker CommunicationAstris was very prompt with her communication. She is very easy to talk to and I felt that I could ask for amendments or changes when prompted to. Project Completion TimeWillow was commissioned late April 2024 with a convention deadline being in early November 2024. Astris blew it out of the park completing my suit in under 2 weeks when it was my turn in the queue and I received the suit in late September 2024 Overall Project QualityI am overall ecstatic with Willows quality. Astris always outdoes herself with her commissions and Willow is no different. Willow is a dream to wear and is visually a pleasure to look at. Astris is well worth your time commissioning. Components Head Wear SatisfactionThe head is a comfy fit. The circumference is slightly larger than my head but it’s nothing I’m not used to given my head is on the smaller side. Willow is lined with a sports shirt like material which is great for cooling and is soft to the touch. The eye mesh is dye sublimated and is a dream to see out of. Visual SatisfactionWillows head is everything I could have wanted and more. Being my main sona, I see a lot of myself in this suit and it brings me joy knowing that when I see my suit that’s me portraying my idealized self. The fur is high quality and soft to the touch being made from howls and big z’s teddy fur rather than their lux shag. The hair is nice and poofy just as I like to portray in my drawings too!! I’m in love with the velcro eyelids that I commissioned with the head as well, allowing for more expressions that are great for photos. One-Piece Body Wear SatisfactionWillows bodysuit is THE COMFIEST bodysuit I have ever worn to date. The padding is lined with the same sports shirt material with zipper pockets for easy unstuffing and washing. The movement is amazing. The first meet I went to in fullsuit, I was off the walls bouncing and running with excitement. The arms were a tad too short on arrival exposing my arms in a way I didn’t like but Astris was quick to send some extensions which were easy to attach via blanket stitch. Visual SatisfactionBeing my first bodysuit made from my own DTD, I was nervous about how the body would look while worn. I experience a lot of gender dysphoria especially around my chest area. It’s safe to say I feel a lot of gender euphoria while wearing Willows bodysuit. When I first wore them I couldn’t stop looking at how nice the fit was around myself. As stated before, Willows fur is soft to the touch being from howls and big z’s teddy fur rather than their lux shag range. Hands Wear SatisfactionWillows hands are a slight struggle to put on. They are fully lined with the same sports shirt material which proves tricky in tight and small areas like the fingers, especially when hot and sweaty. I am commissioning a new set of half lined paws from Astris which are yet to be completed. I am biased as I prefer half lined or no lining in my handpaws for my own comfort. They are otherwise very comfy and durable and suit the rest of the commission beautifully. Dexterity is great and I am easily able to grab items like a phone or a water bottle by myself. Visual SatisfactionVisually, Willows paws suit the suit perfectly. As stated before they are soft to the touch being made from howls teddy fur rather than their lux shag range. The claws are made from minky making them nice and soft as well. Tail Wear SatisfactionThe tail is very easy to wear despite its large size. I am used to wearing larger and/or heavier tails and Willows tail is lovely to wear. It attaches to the bodysuit via a zipper and has nice big belt loops made from nylon webbing to attach to your belt for use. The tail tends to wander through my legs especially while in fullsuit which I havent experienced with other tails before but doesn’t take away from my suiting experience Visual SatisfactionWillows tail look fantastic. The tail is where I get the pickiest with the markings and Astris has done an excellent job at listening and following my references. As stated before it is soft to the touch being made from howls and big z’s teddy fur rather than their lux shag. The tip of the tail, along with the hair, is made from howls fox range making it nice and fluffy for some nice swooshes. Feet Wear SatisfactionWillows feetpaws are THE COMFIEST feetpaws I have worn to date. They are lined with the same sports shirt material as all the other parts of the suit have been, being comfy and cooling when worn. The soles of the feet have a yoga mat on the inside making them nice and cushioning while worn. The bottoms of the feet are made from rubber mats making them nice and durable in comparison to just eva foam mats. Visual SatisfactionWillows feet look incredible (not to sound weird haha). The pattern used flows well with the digi on the bodysuit as well as looking stunning by themselves while full partialling. As stated before they are soft to the touch being made from big z’s teddy range rather than their lux shag. the claws are made from minky making them nice and soft as well.
