Overall

Initial ContactI initially submitted a quote through a Google form linked on Caprikki's instagram. I then got a DM with my quote price, and later submitted a commission form through another Google form. Once I was selected, I got a Discord message from Caprikki where we discussed down payment, fur colors, measurements, etc.

Maker CommunicationI honestly could not have asked for a better experience with my first time commissioning a fursuit. I had never commissioned anything over $40 before going for my suit, so I was very nervous. Caprikki always responded within a day on Discord. The communication was semi-professional, we always kept things on topic, but it never felt like I was in a business meeting. Overall, communication was clear and pleasant!

Project Completion TimeCaprikki has a consistently updated queue on Trello, so I was able to see how many people were ahead of me. I was messaged when I was next in queue and when it was finally my turn to have my fursuit made. The suit was made very quickly once it was my turn, only taking about a month. I didn't ask for a deadline and I wasn't given a ETA. Shipping was through UPS and had tracking. The suit was also packed well with paper padding and a plastic cover.

Overall Project QualityI am very happy with how my suit turned out. It really feels like Rabiez was brought to life. It is very high quality, and though I've only had him for 3 months, he has survived a lot of travel without any damage. He was worth every penny, especially for the amount of colors the design requires. He fits into the Caprikki family perfectly and I couldn't be happier with the style and design.

Components

Head

Wear SatisfactionThe head is very comfortable to wear, there is extra space for me to wear my glasses underneath (though I don't typically). I'm not sure what the lining material is, my guess would be neoprene, but it is very soft and easy to clean. The ventilation is fine, about what you would expect from a fursuit head! It is not difficult to breathe and I can easily fit a small fan in the mouth. The vision is very good, Caprikki's toony/kemono style allows for very large eyes. The back of the mesh is also painted black to allow for the best vision possible. I do have to turn my head to see, and I can't see my feet, but I can see everything in front of me perfectly fine!

Visual SatisfactionThe head is very symmetrical, the only thing "off" I noticed is that one eyebrow is slightly more raised than the other, but it doesn't bother me at all. The design is matched perfectly. The shaving is very well done and clean. The fur is all high quality and very soft. The only thing I've noticed is that the furs from BigZFabrics tend to shed more than the ones from HowlFabrics. All of the furs are able to be brushed and cleaned easily. I'm very happy with the expression, I did not ask for eyelids, but the antennae are pose-able, so expressions can be slightly varied that way. The suit has follow-me eyes and they are also very cute and work well.

Hands

Wear SatisfactionThe paws are very soft and comfortable like the head. They do slide off my hands a bit, but are easily adjusted back. The big toony style of the paws does not allow for good movement, if you're looking to be able to hold things in suit this is not the style for you! I personally love how they look and they extend well onto my wrists so my skin does not show if I wear a long-sleeve shirt. They are also easy to get on and off. The quality is very good and the paws are both lined with the same material as the head.

Visual SatisfactionThe paws look identical and match my character design perfectly. The shaving is very high quality and the fur is soft. The paw pads and claws are minky, which is also soft. The claws are all in the correct positions.

Tail

Wear SatisfactionThe tail is very comfortable to wear and wags around a lot! Though, of course with a large tail, it is not ideal for sitting down. I occasionally struggle to get my belt through the hidden belt loop, but this could be solved with having a thinner belt. It has held up very well, especially with the length putting the tail near my feet.

Visual SatisfactionThe tail turned out great, especially for the unique shape I asked for. I am very pleased with how well it matches my reference. Again, the symmetry and shaving are spot on. The fur is high quality and soft.
