Overall

Initial ContactI DM'd FJD on Twitter after they announced their next quote/commission application opening the day of. I requested a fullsuit quote, filled out a google form, and got a response a couple days later.

Maker CommunicationBefore suit production, communication was okay. After securing a slot, she would message me a few questions every couple weeks. They told me that I was 2nd in queue, and suit production would begin in October. Their promise was followed through.

After suit production, I was updated weekly with something new about my suit. Despite the drastic difference in our timezones, she managed to get back to me extremely quickly and answer any questions I might of had. Communication was super clear also, and they're korean! They're very good at speaking english, and there was no language barrier or miscommunication in the process. Extremely professional and friendly.

Project Completion TimeQuickest turnaround I have ever seen for a suit. While initial contact for the suit was at the end of July, the suit wasn't actually started until the beginning of October. Having being completed in the very beginning of December, The suit only took 2-3 months in total. The suit was shipped immediately after completion and final photos. I was given a substantial update every week so I never felt like my suit wasn't being worked on.

Suit was shipped overseas and unfortunately was handled by USPS, which was a super stressful time. USPS kept the suit in customs for 10 days and then was shipped 4 days later, then arrived 2 days after. Totaling in almost taking 3 weeks for the suit to arrive (December 23rd). My maker and I had no control in the time the suit would arrive. Tracking was provided but USPS gave me a lack of updates + very vague ones. Suit came intact with no damages thankfully.

Overall Project QualityAs my first fullsuit ever, I have really struck gold with this one. Fluffyjellydog was my dream maker for years and I had been extremely estatic to work with her to create Rubix. I think he fits perfectly in her style and I couldn't of asked for a better suit.

Components

Head

Wear SatisfactionHead Size/How It Fits – I assume my maker makes her heads a "one size fits all" and offers a detatchable foam base to apply to your forehead incase the head is too big. I haven't used the base yet, but I think I should considering the head is a little loose on me. The head sometimes tends to slide down at times, making me to have to adjust it every now and then.

This head is EXTREMELY comfortable and has never been itchy/painful or irritating for me. It's lined with black foam, so it can get a little stuffy and hot.

Vision – Probably the best part of the inside/wearing the head overall. This head has pretty great vision for a fursuit. Even though my FOV is limited (only able to see what's basically in-front of me, and not whats on my side or behind) The eye mesh is clear and open enough for me to see pretty far. Even with the angry/calm eyelids added, there's still enough vision for me to see things clearly!

Ventilation – Without my headfan on, it gets stuffy pretty quickly. The mouth opening isn't big enough for me to stick any small fans in or for cold air to come in. However, my maker was nice enough to add a free headfan inside the mouth of the head and it works quite well! Not enough to keep me completely cool for long periods of time, but enough for casual wear. It's plugged in via USB into a battery pack attached to my neck. Sometimes it's a big of a struggle to take the head off with the battery pack in, but it hasn't bothered me much to consider it a con. My battery pack also fits perfectly into the sleeve my maker sewn on Rubix's neck.

Visual SatisfactionBoth in pictures and in person, this is such a goregous head. The fur colors just POP and the face style for Rubix is adorable. The eyes are clean as the mesh was printed on. The horns were made with the SOFTEST minky and spraypainted cleanly. The snout shape, horns, and ears are the perfect size. I love how the ears flop too instead of them just being glued in place! Shaving is consistent and clean. There's only a seperation between the top of the head for the forehead and the back of the head that is a little unclean and there was some hot glue marks that I was able to clean and remove. The star on his forehead is asymmetrical, but I honestly love how it looks. Sew lines are visible on the bottom of the head's chin but it's barely noticable from a distance. Oddly enough, the imperfections on this suit add more character and show of craftmanship to me. It feels like it was made by a person, and not just a machine.

A very high quality head with microscopic imperfections. Overall really professional!

One-Piece Body

Wear SatisfactionHonestly one of my favorite parts about the suit.

Padding – Fluffyjellydog does her padding in a "suspender" style. Where the padding is detached from the bodysuit and is instead a pair of suspender pants you put on before putting on the body. I find this to be the best way to do padding for a bodysuit since it not only stays in place but you can clean it seperately! It's also super squishy and comfortable. The suspender straps are adjustable and it's easy to put on. There's also a seperate padding piece for the tail that I can remove and clean also. I always take out the tail padding after every suit use to prevent the tail from drooping over time. Extremely smart and professional way of managing digiti padding. Im surprised most makers don't do this!

Fitting and Comfortability – There is no lining inside the actual bodysuit, so I usually wear a skinguard long sleeve or a shirt underneath. When I put on the padding in the bodysuit I have to be super careful and slow about putting it on to prevent tear. Rubix's padding is pretty thick so it's easy to cause ripping if I'm not careful.
I get sweaty where the padding is quickly., but this is typical and expected in fullsuits.

Mobility – I have a good range of motion in this suit, but since it's digiti it's hard to sit down or squat. I can't do too much with extending my hands since the suit on my shoulders is a little tight. Haven't had any major strain in any places or tears yet (besides a tiny hole in the leg area that is an easy fix!).

Visual SatisfactionHands down my favorite part about the suit. It really feels like a character rather than just a person in a costume. My maker did a fantastic job on the look of the body.

The padding/digiti shape on the legs and thighs are AMAZING. It never looks wonky due to the sturdyness of the suspender pants. The sewn on stars on my belly are very clean and soft. The fur is super soft and the minky spikes are adorable and well made. The zipper is hidden on the suit and there's never a spot showing my skin underneath. The fur length on the arms and legs are perfect!

I always feel so happy wearing it and seeing how it looks in photos.

Tail

Wear SatisfactionThe tail is huge and holds up really well. I have to hold it down if I ever need to sit down, but it's never been a nuisance. It never droops down despite the heavy padding.

Visual SatisfactionThe spikes on it also look so good! Super bouncy too. I love wagging it and the feel of it when being in suit. The shape is extremely cute and looks so clean attached to the suit.

Feet

Wear SatisfactionThe feet are built off of Croc shoes that I sent over to my maker early on in the fursuit making process. I find this to work extremely well since the shoes fit me nicely.

The feet are huge, but not to the point where they feel like they are going to fall off if I lift my feet. I wear socks underneath to keep any sweat away from the actual feet. It does start to hurt wearing them after a while since the croc shoes rub tighly against my feet.

The claws are made out of minky and look amazing. Some of them are little crooked but it's barely noticable. However… they do touch the floor and get dirty pretty quickly because of it. I have to clean it often.

The minky on the pawpads is possibly the only con I have with the feet. They get dirty very easily and are hard to clean. I do wear fursuit sandals I made on occassion to prevent them from getting too dirty, but it doesn't do much.

Visual SatisfactionThe feetpaws are shaped wonderfully! They truly look like monsterous feet and look great. I love stomping around in them and raising them up for photos. They're absolutely huge in person but don't take away or feel disproportional from the rest of the suit.

Special FeaturesMy suit came with two pairs of extra eyelids even though I ordered just one, which came as a wonderful surprise! One pair was angry and the other was calm. I LOVE using these for photos and in general, espically the "angry" ones. It makes my suit have so much more expressiveness and character, and I love the sassy and sleepy look I can give him! The magnets in the calm set tend to stick together at times, but I'm able to fix it. The magnets in the eyelids are pretty strong. They have never fallen off when I'm moving my head around.

Final CommentsFluffyjellydog is ultimately worth the price. In my opinion, one of the most professional, speedy, and high quality suit makers out there. I highly recommend her if you're a fan of the kemono/toony style. I was extremely lucky to work with her and have a suit of this quality be done so quickly and efficently. I see myself using this fursuit for years to come. <3
