Overall

Initial ContactEmail

Maker CommunicationVery satisfied, responses were quick and efficient

Project Completion TimeThe turnaround time was fairly quick

Overall Project QualityI’m disappointed in the quality. There are numerous loose threads, multiple parts have come undone and have created a challenge in wearing, and it overall feels diminished as a result.

Components

Head

Wear SatisfactionBalaclava lining is very loose, it often hangs over eyes.

Visual SatisfactionThe neck overhangs the bodysuit in a manner that is extremely inconsistent with the pattern.

The mohawk came completely undone from the head after only one con, also leaving an unstitched and exposed hole in the mohawk.

One-Piece Body

Wear SatisfactionThe zipper has broken teeth and is prone to being caught in multiple loose threads (admittedly something that can be avoided with caution)

The bodysuit fits well, and is accurate to measurement. The tailhole is too large, the entire tail could fit inside of it, and as a result there is a bit more hang than there ought to be.

Visual SatisfactionThere are numerous loose threads, as in too many to catch them all, that are visually apparent due to being in a contrasting color

Other than that, it is accurate to ref.

Hands

Wear SatisfactionNo issues

Visual SatisfactionNo issues

Tail

Wear SatisfactionThe tail is fairly comfortable to wear

Visual SatisfactionThe tailhole being big and the elastics for the belt being loose means there is a significant hang to the tail. the maker used a bright pink lining on the back of the tail, which is very visible when in fullsuit. the tail hole itself is large enough that underarmour is exposed even when wearing the tail despite correct usage.

Feet

Wear SatisfactionUncomfortable. The shoes almost immediately came undone from the paws themselves, making it hard to walk.

Visual SatisfactionThey do not come up nearly high enough to hide the lining. The maker chose a very brightly colored teal inner lining, as a result the inner paw is visible when wearing full suit

RatingFursuitReview rates by asking the question:
Would you recommend this maker?

NO This review has been marked with a negative rating.
This means the reviewer would NOT recommend Sour Citrus Suits unless they significantly change their practices.

Final CommentsAlthough the customer service aspect from a communications standpoint was adequate, the suit quality was poor, and is as a result now being fixed by fellow makers in the community.

Comments

  1. Loose threads, a hole in a stitched piece after some time… these are concerns you could have the maker (or anybody with sewing experience) fix. Plus, you admitted yourself the zipper teeth coming loose was because you weren’t careful enough. Be gentler on your suit and contact a maker to help repair it. This reads more like a “MAYBE” review than a “NO”.
