Made a 'looking for fursuit makers' post in twitter. A little later Evilmakers announced their existence, so I sent a quote request via twitter DM. Got quote within an hour, and instructions for head measurements and DTD.
I've never had to wait for a response. The same day after initial contact we switched over to telegram. They responded usually immediately, sometimes might have taken few hours to get back to me. Never days or weeks.
During the project I received WIPs on almost daily basis, and without asking. I got involved in decision making, eg. giving me free hands to pick the furs, and internal belt loops for sewn tail was actually my idea.
I'm amazed how fast this project was done. Only a week or two after initial contact the furs were ordered, and within a month head was started. The suit was complete a month before a loosely set deadline, and two months before I had finished the payment plan. Quote request to completion in 110 days, less than four months!
Shipping was delayed due to worst covid restrictions to date.
Overall I'm very satisfied with the suit. Can't even imagine a better fit, and wearing is also comfortable. Design implementation is pretty much flawless, and paddings are where they should be.
Almost everything is sewn – no glues, head being an exception. Even there I'm unable to find a spot that has been glued, but that's what I've been told. Seams are sturdy, haven't had any damages occur to date.
Patterns match on different parts so well that it's a bit difficult to see where one piece ends and another starts.
Evilmakers truly exceeded all my expectations, by far. My only advice for them – raise your prices.
Overall rating: A+
Head fit is really snug, and it won't spin or fall by accident. Fully lined inside makes the wear very comfortable. I'm unaware of the lining material's name, but it feels high quality and it won't soak even after longer sessions. Mouth is large enough for water bottle and provides brilliant ventilation.
Field of view is enormous. I had no clue it's even possible to be able to see so large area at once. After initial concerns about the blind spot I found out there would have been just the muzzle behind it.
Shaving is even and construct is symmetrical. Patterns match the design very well. Every different colour is sewn from different furs, so colours don't bleed. The fur is smooth, soft and pleasant to touch. The chosen furs can most of the time be smoothed by just hand. Knowing full well it's nearly impossible to achieve the shine effects on the suit, it was left out on mutual agreement.
The same furs and methods were used for entire suit, so these statements applies to all following parts.
Static jaw limits the amount of expressions, but the evil smirk works in all occasions.
Bodysuit might be a bit tricky to get on and off, but that's a price one must pay for such a perfect fit. No movement is restricted, yet there is no baggy areas.
Seams are very rigid. I've performed quite acrobatic moves in the suit and haven't had a single seam fail.
The bodysuit is partially lined, due to removable paddings. Being my first bodysuit I can't compare the airflow to anything. Obviously it is hot, as expected, but I'm able to suit in room temperature for an hour or so with no issues.
The massive tail is sewn into the suit with belt loops inside to carry the weight. All paddings and tail fill is removable for washing.
I'm unable to spot any flaw symmetry-wise. Design has been implemented to the bodysuit very well. I even had to inform Evilmakers that 100% match is not necessary due to the complex design, as initially they were after perfect match. Shaving was not necessary for the body, fur length was good from the factory. The zipper is practically invisible, you'd have to pry the fur apart to see it.
Initially I went for a hanging, shaped tail, but it was changed to a dragger type. In the end I'm very happy for that change.
Hands are fully lined, comfortable to wear and perfect size. No uncomfortable squeeze and they still stay on firmly. Movement is relatively unrestricted, considering they are plushy style. Seams are durable and invisible.
Hands are so symmetrical that I can't differentiate left from right. One claw is slightly tilted but such a minor flaw is definitely no deal breaker. Claws are filled fabric, therefore durable and safe.
Shaving is even, and hands overall are so visually appealing that I doubt there are many makers who could have made it any better.
Feet are lined, padded and reach halfway up my shin. That way they overlap with the bodysuit and won't ever show my ankles. Construct is both soft and sturdy. Feet are easy to put on and off, and stay on well.
Feet design was also very simple, just base colour and claws. No paw pads, being outdoor feet.
