Her application form was easy to understand and she answered to the few questions I still had at the same day. Maker CommunicationMakeAFur always showed a high level of professionalism. She contacted me almost daily with information to her fur-order, payment-process, queue-slot and, most important, the WIP-pictures. She also asked me how I'd like to have the small things that weren't visible on my refsheet, like the gum- and tongue-color and gave me precious recommendations. The communication was always in the friendly manner I was used to before my commission and our friendship has even grown through it, what makes me an even prouder MakeAFur-suiter. Project Completion TimeAfter I was accepted for the commission, she placed me on the third slot of her queue. She told me that it would likely take until autumn until my pieces were finished, especially since the delivery times for the raw materials had gone up that much. But she managed to get the fur and everything else in a much shorter time and so she said that she could maybe have completed everything before the Eurofurence in the last week of August. That maybe became a definitely completed head and paws even by early August and so I could pick them up just before EF, after I returned from my holidays. So I can also totally recommend her from that point of view. Overall Project QualityThe overall quality is outstanding! The used fur is of high quality and how it was applied to my pieces is of the same standard. As I've got the suit first since August, I can't tell much of the long-term-durability, but so far I couldn't notice anything negative. When I commissioned MakeAFur, I knew that her style would be a perfect fit for my metal/goth-fursona. This impression only grew with every WIP-pic she sent me. As I could finally hold my head in my own hands, it was an almost magic moment with lots of goosebumps. Even if the images already looked great, the real life-look was even better! Everything was well sewn, stuffed, painted, cut etc. and the final product is a perfect display of her exemplary work ethic. Couldn't be happier with the outcome! Components Head Wear SatisfactionThe head fitted perfectly when I put it on for the first time. The vision was great and I had a very good surround-sight, with only the obvious gap in the middle. It had no sharp or pointy edges and as the balaclava was already sewn-in, sliding my head in and out was very easy. It also never slid to one side or up and down when I did some test-headshaking, so the head stays stable, even when I'd do very active suiting. Ventilation is also good and due to her big-mouthed style, there is always lots of fresh air coming in. Visual SatisfactionLong story short: Love at first sight! The head is a perfect adaption of my ref-sheet to her style. The symmetry was perfect, the different kinds of fur well aligned and shaved in the respective areas and the NFTech-mane on the top was the icing on the cake. I can easily bend it to one side of the head but also shape a Mohawk without adding hairspray. Due to the, well-implemented, follow-me-eyes I can do multiple expressions from different angles and they all look great. Hands Wear SatisfactionThe handpaws also fitted perfectly when I first pulled them over my hands. The puffy stuffing was placed well and my fingers had the necessary space for moving but also weren't to lose for sliding around. MakeAFur cut two holes in the right one, as I'm right-handed, for holding finer things without showing the fingers and losing any thing of the "magic" while suiting or posing. Visual SatisfactionAs I have a pretty special and fine pattern I was curious how MakeAFur will realize it. As she came up with the first ideas and showed me examples, I was very confident it will look great. I wasn't the slightest bit embarrassed, rather the opposite was true! She managed to realise them in a very cool-looking way and did the lines on the fingertips by water-resistant airbrush. Bonus-points for the big claws, which round up the overall fantastic look. Special FeaturesI originally didn't want to have LED-eyes. But then I looked at pictures of her most recent suits with these attachments and switched my meaning within seconds. I never regretted getting them, as they give my head the extra special for even greater looks and shots. They were perfectly placed, including the switch-button, which sits unnoticeable in the left ear. The power-bank sits in a small pouch at the end of the head and can't be felt while suiting.
