very easy, opening was posted on Twitter and it was a Google form. The maker then sent an email for measurement details when the commission was selected.
They have always been great to work with, I've commissioned them for art in the past as well and they are always good to deal with. They moved a few months after the commissions were taken and were very upfront when I commissioned that it may push the completion date back.
She took a little less than a year and probably would've been quicker if the maker didn't have to deal with moving (which they told me when I commissioned that this was happening so it was not a surprise). They have a public Trello so you can see the work getting done.
Very happy. It is absolutely worth what I paid and a little more. The quality of all materials and attention to detail is high. This maker has done several species that all look great but I would especially recommend them if you have a feline character as their feline style is amazing.
It fits well and is lined with a lycra type material. The ventilation is good for a fursuit, I wore her for hours at a dance multiple nights with a heavy fleece kigu on and was warm but never had to stop due to discomfort. There's a decently sized blind spot in the center but the vision to the sides and top/bottom is excellent – the NFT hair limits vision some but this was expected.
She looks fantastic – the maker has a great feline style. The shaving and markings are even, and all markings are correct. The NFT hair looks great.
The fabric lining can get sweaty and stick to your hands and get pulled inside out when you remove the paws. Lining/not lining handpaws is a very personal preference I think! I wore them a LOT at her debut convention and had zero issues with seams popping or anything of that nature.
They look great and the pawpads are so soft!
The tail is so easy to wear with two elastic-type belt loops that are securely attached. It has a great bounce to it. Character has a bob tail so it's naturally easy to wear.
Looks great, clean and even shaving and good fur quality like all other parts.
The paws are like slippers instead of having shoes in them and they are SO COMFORTABLE and easy to wear. I want all my footpaws to be this style going forward! They're indoor paws so I have babied them a little so hard to speak on durability but no issues so far.
Much like the handpaws, they look fantastic, shaving is great, the pawpad material is so soft.
I consider the NFT hair to be a special feature – maker did a great job with it. They put a broad wire in the center so the hair is posable/wavy and it has worked out so well. I flop her head around more than I should and it has stayed well anchored so far. It does affect the vision on my right side significantly (understandable) but it is easy to put up against the ear with a scrunchie to improve vision and still looks great.
