The only lapse in communication was due to an email from me incorrectly being marked as "read", but it was resolved quickly. Given that this was an artistic liberty project, the maker didn't check in with me at every single step (which was outlined in their terms of service and fully expected), but I felt very included in the process. No major changes were made without checking in with me first (such as adding LEDs which we discussed at the beginning). Also, big thanks to the maker for dealing with my indecisiveness: I originally only wanted a head, but later added a tail and then paws. Project Completion TimeFaster than expected! I started payments in October of 2022 and finished in March of 2023. According to the maker's website, the wait time (AFTER payments have been made in full) is 3-5 months. I must have been lucky and finished payments right when they had nothing else in their queue, because they started working on it as soon as they received my final check in the mail. Overall Project QualityYES! Love love love it so much!!! Components Head Wear SatisfactionFits beautifully! I specifically requested a smaller, lightweight head, and the maker delivered 100%. The vision is fairly limited, but I was informed of this and they even took it upon themself to add a semi-moving jaw to improve visibility even though we originally agreed on a static jaw (I was OK with this because my choice for a static jaw was mostly to reduce weight). Due to the jaw always being slightly open, the ventilation is fantastic; it's easily the best I've ever experienced in a fursuit. The inside is not lined as it is a resin head, but it's still comfortable and easy to wipe down between uses. Visual SatisfactionGORGEOUS AMAZING WONDERFUL. I can't possibly begin to go into detail about how STUNNING this suit is! The craftsmanship is top tier. The fur is evenly shaved and smooth. It has a slightly different texture where it was painted, but that is a given with fabric paint and therefore not an issue. All of the crystals, stars, and snowflakes are sturdy and I have no concerns about them falling off. Hands Wear SatisfactionVery nice! They are unlined, but I prefer this because it keeps my hands cooler. The resin claws and silicone paw pads are very sturdy. The wrists are a bit shorter than what I'm used to, but this maker requires a hand tracing; the one I sent didn't go far past my wrists, so that's on me. They are also uncuffed, but this is detailed on the maker's website, so it wasn't a surprise. Visual SatisfactionAmazing! Again, I would've liked the wrists to be a little longer, but they're perfect otherwise. They look and feel amazing. Tail Wear SatisfactionVery easy and comfortable. Instead of elastic bands to attach to the belt, the top of the fur folds over to create a "hidden" belt loop. I do have to be a little careful to avoid stepping on the long fur on the end. Much like the head and hands, the crystals/snowflakes/etc are very sturdy. Visual SatisfactionThe hidden belt loop gives it a seamless look! The combination of furs is awesome, and I adore the long fur used on the tip. I also like the way it moves when I walk. It wasn't built with any sort of added motion (it's just stuffed with polyfill), but it works wonderfully for the species. Special FeaturesThis suit has BIG crystals attached all over! They are already glued on and do not need to be put on separately. I do have to be extra careful when handling the suit, but it looks incredible and doesn't make it feel any more cumbersome.
