It was easy to contact Shell through her social media. I used Instagram. Their website link is easy to find and is very clear with all the information you need to start the commission process.
They responded quickly before and during the commission. Shell reached out with updates regularly during the suit's construction. Very friendly and professional.
I was near the end of the queue and wasn't in any rush for the suit's completion. It was my turn in the queue a little less than a year after the initial commission placement. When she started work on my suit Shell was very quick and I had my suit in just a couple months or so.
I'm very happy with the final product!
Inside fits perfectly. Just enough space to not be loose, but not be tight. I got mine lined and it's a very comfortable neoprene material. The mouth hole isn't as big as I'm used to, but I can shift my head back to give myself more breathing room. Vision is how you'd expect on a typical fursuit. I can clearly see through the mesh and I have the usual blind spots that most heads have. The back of the mesh is black, so even with my lighter colored eyes I don't have issues seeing when a light is pointed at me.
The markings are pretty symmetrical. The nose is slightly asymmetrical, but it's really not noticeable unless you look for it. Shell did a good job giving a visual balance between lion and goat, and I'm very satisfied with the face shape. The fur is high quality and evenly shaved. The mane was made with the fur direction pointing up so that the way it sits makes it fluffy instead of smoothed down. This was a very good decision and helps the mane stand out.
The hands fit nicely, but the liner make it a little hard to wiggle my fingers into it. But once it's on, it fit well and isn't too tight or too loose. The sleeves that came with it are comfortable and easy to wear despite not being lined. It overlaps the paws and cover the cuffs pretty well. The part that rubs against the armpit does get grosser easier from the sweat, but it washes right out in the laundry.
The shaving is good here too. The paws were a modified Kloofsuits pattern with added dewclaws and they look really good. The stripes on the sleeves are symmetrical and shaving was used to make them pop more.
The nub tail is nice and lightweight with a harder foam base to have it keep shape. It's not hard to sit with it on, and the loops for the belt are tight enough to keep it from sliding around.
The strips are even, and so is the shaving. The underside was kept fluffy like in my ref sheet. It sits nicely against me, but doesn't really wiggle.
Feet were lined too. It's comfortable to wear and walk around in, especially with socks on. They're easy to take on and off, and they don't slip off even when moving quickly.
The dewclaws added to the feet look very adorable. The paw pads are even. One pad has a wrinkle, but you wouldn't see it anyway. The cuffs on the feet match the fur color so that it blends in well.
The eyelids I got with the head are velcro and stick pretty well. There's room to change the expressions with them while keeping the eyeliner lined up. The fursuit sandals made with the feet don't slip or slide while in use. They're not too tight, and sometimes I forget I'm wearing them.
