The head was originally sold as a premade, so it was extremely loose when I received it. After tailoring and padding the head to fit me, I found 7 pins that hadn’t been removed, and were set in nuisance areas. The top of the head, around the ears, the cheeks, and one near the neck. These stabbed and scratched while wearing the head. I ended up tearing them out because they had been glued in. Ears were not completely attached to the head when I received. Some loose thread was keeping them in place, but they weren’t secured. Ventilation is good, there is space around the nose area so air flows through the mouth to the eyes. Vision is good, typical blind spot around the muzzle but it isn’t huge. Overall, he is comfortable to wear. Visual Satisfaction Symmetry is great. Shaving is a little rough around the jaw, cheeks and ears. Two small spots on the face are too closely shaved, and some green from the foam is visible. Fur is a high quality luxury shag, very nice to touch, easy to clean and untangle. Pink marker or pink thread was used to sew the saber teeth, and slowly the sabers have been turning pink. The character is very expressive, which sold me on him in the first place. The ‘grump’ look is well done, and I can get many expressions from different angles. Head was pre-made, no concept art. Body Wear Satisfaction The body has been slightly baggy since day 1. There is lots of extra room around my stomach and lower back, it tends to sag down after I’ve bent over, or sat down. I haven’t lost weight since sending my DtD. High quality fur used, durability is hit and miss. I received the suit with lots of popped seams that I spent a few hours fixing. High-stress areas were not reinforced. (Crotch, armpits, etc.) Unlined, 100% all natural inside. (Lots of markings and bare thread) Very hot, very sweaty as expected. Can feel a fan or breeze under my suit. Visual Satisfaction Symmetry is great. Fur is very soft and high quality. Easy to clean, even after suiting for several hours, it did not mat and still looked smooth. Hands and Feet Wear Satisfaction The hands are elbow length semi-sleeves that are comfortable to wear, but difficult to keep on. I have to adjust them throughout suiting as they slip off. The paws are very cute, and I am always getting compliments on them. Additionally, there is a break between the hand and arm sleeve that shows skin if I stretch or bend my arms. Inside is lined and hemmed. Any movement would cause the leg fabric to tuck under the foot. Some finishing on the edges of the fabric, no lining. Difficult to move around in, probably more my fault than the makers because I have never tried stompy before. Visual Satisfaction Symmetry still good, no shaving was done on the paws, which is unfortunate because the pads are so cute. Same fur as rest of the suit, good stuff. The pins. Many pins were left in the feet, and I didn’t notice them until I tripped and one stabbed my leg. One of the pins poked into my shoes and cut my toe up. I ripped these out of the foam with some tools as they’d been glued in. Originally, the feet were a high-rise stompy style. The smoothing wasn’t well done, as the fur sat on top of a lip of foam and created a weird cliff. Bottoms of the feet felt slapped together. Messy transition between sole and fur, and ultimately did not hold together. Tails Wear Satisfaction Tail is cute and tiny. Straps are slightly too long, causes the tail to sag after awhile. Feels sturdy, no tears or innards showing. Visual Satisfaction Overall good. Overall Product Satisfaction How was your concept art realized? How satisfied are you with how closely the suit matches the concept art? Satisifed. How well does everything fit together and match up? How satisfied are you with how well everything fits together and matches up? Somewhat satisfied, bend zones don’t accommodate for movement. Fur overall is consistent and well blended. Overall Project Quality The feet were 80% destroyed after my first outing with them. The bottoms were made of a thin yoga mat material that came apart quickly against the pavement. This exposed the foam, and mildew grew. I was able to keep the original toes and nails, but had to install all new foam, furs and bottoms. Overall, satisfied. The maker explained that this was their first time making a fullsuit, and for the price I am not complaining. The feet and digi-grade have been completely remade by myself. Purchase Process Initial Contact How satisfied are you with how easy it was to initially contact the maker for a quote? Satisfied, maker responded next day after winning premade auction. Maker Response Time How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker? Mixed. Never responded same-day, went missing near end of production and didn’t contact me to provide alternate contact. They had lost access to their email. Maker Professionalism Maker was repeatedly unclear about project status. Specified a date when they would start working on the suit, when the date came, they changed the begin date again. Lied to me about status, stating parts of the suit were completed, but did not see work being done on these parts until months later. I voiced concerns about the arms not being long enough originally, and the maker insisted it would be fine. Since then, they’ve agreed to send me some of the body fur so that I can extend the arms and cover the break around my elbow. Originally requested the fur in January 2017, again in May, and again in June. They have been unresponsive and uncooperative since. Project Completion Time Deadline was missed, initially wanted suit by mid-August. Maker agreed to work on suit while on summer break. I hadn’t received any updates on the suit until late July, and voiced my frustrations that I’d seen no progress despite making all my payments. Received the suit on soft deadline of Halloween. This means the reviewer would recommend Graveyard Stuffers Suits. Final Comments Pros: Their characterization is awesome, good head-shape and expression. The head feels unique. They matched my art and provided me with something I want to keep. It’s something I’m proud to wear and cherish as my first real suit. Cons: Their customer service and honesty needs some work. I would have preferred they tell me my deadline was unreasonable, rather than be strung along for months thinking my suit was nearly complete.
