Head

Wear Satisfaction

The head is comfortable to wear as long as you have a balaclava on since it’s not lined. The head is held onto your face by elastic since there is no foam supporting the back of your head. The ears are barely held onto the foam base because of this and one had broken off (it was only held on by the ear fur being sewn to the head fur) Though this issue has been fixed. The ears are held onto the head with wooden skewers and the ear that broke had to be fixed with a metal knitting needle. The ventilation and vision in this suit are honestly amazing, the mouth is wide open and the eyes are quite big, there is a blind spot in the middle but that is expected with fursuit heads.

Visual Satisfaction

After fixing the ear and painting the eyes, it looks really nice! the shaving is decent but you can see where the fur has been sewn together on the face, and a lot of the fur isn’t glued down. The top of the mouth isn’t lined so the foam is exposed. The neck isn’t long/big enough to cover the suit (when you look up or down, your neck/shoulders get exposed)
But generally, I’m happy with how grumpy he looks!

Body

Wear Satisfaction

Since the suit wasn’t made for me, it’s got a lot of room! it’s pretty comfortable to wear but closing the zip on the front is a pain, it’s also coming off of the body since It’s only hand sewn on. (Pretty sure the whole suit is hand sewn) and fur gets stuck in it way too easily. It originally only came with pillow padding for the front of the legs and the butt, I had to make padding for the back of the legs. I’ve had to fix holes on this suit multiple times due to the fact he’s only/mainly (not sure) hand sewn.

Visual Satisfaction

One of the most noticeable things first off is the tail which is completely off center. I don’t know if the tail was always like this or if its caused by the cover I put over the hole inside the suit (There was nothing keeping the polyfill in the tail) There are way more pieces of fur sewn together than what’s necessary, the whole suit is around 10cm by 10cm pieces of fur all sewn together which means seams pop way more often then they should.

Special Attachments and Features

The hands, feet, and tail are attached to the suit so it’s easy to put it on quickly, just means I can’t wear it properly as a partial. The inside of the feet are hollow, so walking in them can be a bit tricky, but its nothing too difficult to handle, I’ve had the issue of the soles of the feet ripping off which I fixed with some hot glue.

Overall

Product Satisfaction

How well does everything fit together and match up?
Because he was so cheap and that I’ve given the suit my own personal touches, I’m pretty pleased with it overall, though if this was an expensive commissioned suit of my character I wouldn’t be happy with the quality. I’m pretty sure Van was an experimental suit so I’m not being too harsh with this review.

Overall Project Quality
Its a decent suit to wear and perform in!

Purchase Process

Initial Contact
I started talking to the maker before Confurgence, so we were friends before I got the suit. I officially received the suit on the Sunday of the convention and was given a year to pay for it.
