Excellent :
+ Visibility is very good, the sockets are perfectly aligned with my own eyes.
+ An inside headstrap keeps the head in place, very handy.
+ Measurements are perfect, zero issue taking the head on or off.
+ Foam is protected with cloths, protecting it agaist deterioration.

Great Overall :
+ Appearence fits Lemonbrat style and the character’s personnality.
+ Appearence fits portrait reference sheet.
– A small shave cut can be seen around the lower jaw section.

Product Satisfaction

How was your concept art realized?
I made my first reference sheet myself, with a MFY fursuit in mind, but when I compare my later portrait reference sheet with the head piece, I think they made an outstanding job at respecting the concept art.

How well does everything fit together and match up?
Not perfect, but an excellent article overall. Easy to wear, very durable, with great mobility and very good eyesight. Super cute Lemonbrat style, soft, fluffy and just awesome to wear!

Overall Project Quality
Yes, the fursuit is perfect and I love it so much!



Purchase Process

Initial Contact
First contact was fast and clear. They gave me some links and explanations that helped me in every steps.

Maker Response Time
Not entirely satisfied : It was probably my biggest issue with the company… Sometimes it takes them less than a day to respond to you and other times it took them three months to respond to my monthly mail asking for update.

Maker Professionalism
Very nice people overall, but slightly disorganized. For instance : One person would tell me that “small” modifications on my head were almost finished and a month later I would get pictures asking me if the new teeth were the one I wanted so they could actually work on the jawset and finish the head.

Project Completion Time
Not satisfied, in the order process, they speak about 1-2 month completion time when 75% is paid..
– 02 June 2017 : I’ve send 75% of the requiere payement.
– 08 Augustus 2017 : They’ve recieved all measurements and my DTD .
– 01 March 2018 : Got first pictures of completion
– 29 May 2018: Got final set of pictures of completion with modifications I asked for the head (2 missing black eyebrows, new set of front teeth).
We are speaking about a 8 months delay instead of a 2 months delay, which in my oppinion is very unprofessional.

Final Comments
It was very hard for me to review Lemonbrat…

On one side, they make some outstanding quality fursuits with a very particular style (some may like it, some may not), and the artists working there are some of the nicest people I ever met. But on the other hand, they do not communicate well enough to be respected for business and if you are not extremely patient, like I am, you just might want to throw your computer screen at them.

They are very open to suggestions, and if you are not entirely satisfied with the product, they will gladly make everything in their power to make it right.

I can recommend their premade fursuits for sure, if those are anywhere close to custom made, they are very likely to be high quality products and you won’t have to wait as long as I did to get mine.

If you still want a custom fursuit from Lemonbrat (which I do not recommend), be prepared for the worst. You’ll get completely mad waiting for updates, but when you’ll get it, you won’t regret it!

I am buying a suit from them and it makes me furious to be ignored because it was literally not even a day after I emailed them they stopped talking all together- I got worried because it’s the first time I’ve done this. It makes me even worse when theirs no way to get ahold of them and you’re sitting there thinking you’ve been scammed.. but over all I’m thankful it’s worth the wait but I will be saying with full confidence I will never order from them again.

    • Hey Ali,

      It is a reason why I wanted to make this review so badly. It was really hard for me to find any objective reviews related to Lemonbrat and the one I usally found were mostly outdated or completely biased.

      When I ordered my fursuit, I was making monthly updates asking for news. At that point, all I wanted were nibbles to ease my stress. The lack of communication got me depressed to the point I couldn’t keep up with work and I had to take time off for about 3 weeks. I don’t want anyone to feel like I did, and this is the best way I can do to prevent this from happening to others.

      If you are waiting for your custom made suit, just give them time, they will eventually get it done. If the product is not exactly like you expect it to be when you get pictures, don’t hesitate to tell them, as far as I know they don’t bite.

      Overall, I think the people working at Lemonbrat are very nice people, but nice is unfortunatly not enough when communication is lackluster. Don’t get it wrong, we do have over 100 communications and most of my mails were answered, but the most important ones were put aside for too long. That’s why I wouldn’t recommend custom orders, but at the same time I don’t agree with the overall forum consensus that they are trash.

      They don’t deserve that kind of reputation when, in my oppinion, they make solid articles.

    • Hey @VDP, I’m following Lemonbrat work very closely and from what I saw. They’ve restructured the way they work. Communication and fursuits overall quality have vastly improved since my review. I might get an upgrade for my head later in 2021. If I do so, I’ll make sure to post a new review and make an update on my experience with them.
