Wear Satisfaction

The fit of these sockpaws was solid because I provided the socks used in this project. I could feel the stitching in some parts of the sock inside so I ended up wearing some sock liners to remedy that.

The quality is well done but the durability is an issue. I was not told that I needed to wear sockpaw sandals with my pair so it never occurred to me that I would need to make my own. I wore them to Otakon 2014 and after walking around the convention for ~2 hours I could feel the fabric starting to stretch and immediately took them off.

The sockpaw itself is still in good condition and I have made myself some sandals to extend the lifetime of the pair. As far as the interior, you feel a large gap between the sock and the padding which is a tradeoff since it allows my toes to move freely but I then need to press against the inside of the padding to move around.

Visual Satisfaction

For the appearance, this is exactly what I asked for. It’s not easy finding the accent color of my character but the maker went to great lengths to try and find one that was close to matching. The exterior feels good to the touch and looks like great sockpaws.

Overall

Product Satisfaction

How was your concept art realized?
How satisfied are you with how closely the suit matches the concept art?
Very satisfied. I ended up using my character jacket and some black sweatpants to create the ensemble and it worked very well with the sockpaws.

How well does everything fit together and match up?

Purchase Process

Initial Contact
How satisfied are you with how easy it was to initially contact the maker for a quote?
Very satisfied, the maker and I exchanged notes and came to a joint decision.

Maker Response Time
Initially it took a little longer to get updates but I then found that the maker was getting married which I completely understand.

Maker Professionalism
There was some communication issues with what all the requirements on my end was (providing my own socks for the project, maker assuming I had my own sandals for the sockpaws) but the professionalism and friendliness were both there throughout the entire project.

Project Completion Time
How satisfied are you with how the deadline was met for completion of your project?
Very satisfied. I had two conventions that summer that I wanted to use the sockpaws and I missed out the first convention (soft deadline) but they were completed by the time the second one came around (hard deadline). These deadlines were discussed beforehand.
