Overall

Initial ContactIt was very easy to get into contact with the maker! I found out about their open slots from their website, and we communicated primarily through Discord.

Maker CommunicationThe maker was extremely communicative and helpful! They kept me in the loop throughout every step of the process, which was extremely helpful for me, as I was quite nervous due to it being my first fursuit commission. There was never a situation where I felt like their communication was unclear, and they were more than happy to clarify anything or answer any questions as needed. They were also willing to make some alterations throughout the process when things did not turn out how I had expected! (ex: changing the color of a lining around the eye that I had not expected)

Project Completion TimeThe project was completed on time in accordance with their estimated completion date, and it arrived on my doorstep when they said it would (save for some difficulties with FedEx which were entirely outside of their control). They provided a tracking number and were willing to provide assistance when there was difficulty with FedEx.

Overall Project QualityI am extremely satisfied with the final product! It looks great, it feels great to wear, and I've already received a lot of compliments on it whenever I wear it to conventions. I feel truly blessed to own such a quality product of my character! The only significant drawbacks are the foot pain after walking with the foot paws for extended periods of time and how the hands can "detach" from the sleeves if I stretch my arms out, but I consider these minor inconveniences with fairly easy workarounds.

Components

Head

Wear SatisfactionThe head fits great and stays snug and secure even during long wear sessions. The eyes and mouth have a surprisingly good amount of ventilation, and visibility is not bad! I have to turn my head in order to see and can only see out of one eye at a time, but not to a degree that becomes uncomfortable. There is a fairly large blind spot between the eyes. The head is lined with a patterned material (I am not certain which material) which helps keep me cool, absorbs sweat nicely, and has been easy to maintain.

Visual SatisfactionThe head looks incredible! The default expression is nice, and if I were to decide to get eyelids, it would be host to a good number of expressions. The shaving is even, and the fur is soft and fluffy. The fur is easily brushed and does not shed excessively; even after multiple brushings before and after wearing, it still looks just as full and lush as when I first got it. Design-wise, it perfectly matches my character, down to every detail.

One-Piece Body

Wear SatisfactionIt's less hot than I expected it to be, and it's surprisingly easy to feel the breeze through the fur and fabric. It hardly restricts my arms' movement. The footpaws make it a bit difficult to walk, but I attribute that to my own relative inexperience with wearing it; when I focus on my walking, it's pretty easy to attain a natural gait. I have done some movement that I would consider to be fairly taxing (jumping into the air) without any seams popping or noticing any damage thus far. The suit feels really comfortable to wear, almost like being wrapped in a blanket, and I have been told that it's comfortable to cuddle up to as well.

Visual SatisfactionThe suit looks amazing from the outside! It's like my character walked right out of his ref sheet into the real world. There are a few places where the illusion is a bit weaker at times – the zipper down the front is sometimes visible, particularly if I am not careful about brushing the fur down after equipping it, and if I stretch my arm out the hand can "separate" from the sleeve. However, for the majority of normal use and when given time to pose for pictures, it's practically seamless and looks wonderful.

Hands

Wear SatisfactionThe hands are nice to wear, feeling very much like cushy, warm gloves. They do not restrict my movement much at all, particularly for things that I am likely to do in suit. If I stretch my arm out too much the wrist will show, but while my arms are hanging at my sides or otherwise not extended they connect nearly seamlessly to the arms. Even if I were to wave my hands about, the hands stay on snugly without budging much.

Visual SatisfactionThe hands look perfect; there is not much more to say that hasn't been said about the other parts of the suit.

Tail

Wear SatisfactionIt has a hole that one can fit a belt through, and then it itself can be stuffed through a hole in the suit. It's not bad to wear, though it makes sitting in chairs more difficult and less comfortable. While standing, it looks great!

Visual SatisfactionLike everything else on the suit, practically seamless. It looks exactly as it should, and bears the markings present on my ref sheet perfectly.

Feet

Wear SatisfactionThe feet fit extremely well, and are shockingly comfortable. If I weren't trying to limit the number of times I wash them and if I weren't afraid of stinking them up, I would wear them as slippers! While they are zipped to the main bodysuit, they stay on with no issues whatsoever. If wearing them on their own, as though with a partial, they can slip but are easy to readjust. They do not have much support, so walking with them for an extended amount of time can be rough on my own feet, but I think that is to be expected. They are outdoor paws, and the material used is quite durable! It has some scuffs and marks from when I wore them on the gravel trails of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, but despite that, they held up really well and this has not affected their performance since. (Also, I really probably should not have worn them to the Ren Faire due to the aforementioned rough conditions of the trails! The fact they held up so well is quite impressive to me.)

Visual SatisfactionThe paws look great! Especially when the bottoms are not visible, they look just like the rest of the suit – soft, fluffy, and cushy. The pads stick out a bit when visible, but this is not unusual for outdoor paws, and the color chosen for the pads blends fairly well with the rest of the paws.
