Head

Wear Satisfaction

This is a bit misleading as I set up the head myself and got it near ‘ready to fur stage’ so it fits me quite well since I mounted the base on a hat.

Visual Satisfaction

The appearance of the head is spot on. We went back and forth on finding the right kind of yellow to match the gold fur, I wanted a short pile suit and there wasn’t much in the way of yellow variance that looked good in the short pile, so eventually we found something that worked. the feathers were made out of three colors of minky that I had picked out and they are lovely.

The zipper is really well hidden everything looks great and is so soft. the ear fuz was added and I gave artistic liberty and I’m very pleased with the black fluff it really balances out the design.

Special Attachments and Features

So I wanted a moving jaw, and I set the base up to have one, which was later stabilized and it still moves. I got some nubby teeth, and a special ordered tongue for Faraday that I can swap out since the tongues can be exchanged. The zipper was also placed in off to the side away from the feathers. There is even some velcro on the head if I ever wanted to attempt eyelids, very nice!

Hands and Feet

Wear Satisfaction

The sleeves sit well, and don’t start the downward migration after many hours of wearing. the hands are perfect they fit my hands very well and match great with the sleeves. the palm padding has a nice fleece backing to it.

Visual Satisfaction

The hands and sleeves match perfectly to the reference, I’m fine with the reduction of spots, the bigger spots look better design wise.

Tails

Wear Satisfaction

The tail is nice and holds its shape well, it feels good while wearing. the straps are very secure and the base retains its shape very well.

Visual Satisfaction

I really like how the tail looks, the minky spikes transition nicely along the dorsal aspect and there is a slight sway to the tail that adds character. The feathers have this adorable flop to them and looks very appealing when worn as they flop around in a natural way. It matches the reference, the fur is sleek and shiny and matches the rest of the suit.

Special Attachments and Features

I got a zipper on my tail so I can unstuff it and store it better when my space gets tight I have that option. Also helpful since the tip is white and I can unstuff and wash it and have it dry much quicker than a stuffed tail.

Wings

Wear Satisfaction

I love these wings they are so comfortable that I forget that I am wearing them. The back pack straps are a bit hard to get on at first, but once on they are very secure and comfortable. The wings are medium, and stiff so sometimes I get surprised when leaning back in a chair because I’ve forgotten I am wearing them! xD

Visual Satisfaction

the wings are very cute, they match up to the reference as well. they have this nice minky feather detail along the lower boarder. Just enough to make them look like wings, without sacrificing the weight.

Overall

Product Satisfaction

How was your concept art realized?
The concept art matches very well, any time there was something that was not quite covered she brought it up and we worked it over like the ear fluff and the yellows not matching at first. I’m very pleased with how Faraday looks in comparison to the art.

How well does everything fit together and match up?
Everything matches up, it took us a while to find a matching fur to the gold but i’m really happy with the end result. Everything is very soft and I get many compliments from other furries on how my partial looks.

Overall Project Quality
I am beyond ecstatic with the quality of Faraday. So much that I came back for a fursuit 😉

Purchase Process

Initial Contact
It was very easy I filled out a quote form and they responded within 48 hours.

Maker Response Time
Absolutely fantastic, sometimes I’d get a response within 2-4 hours time.

Maker Professionalism
They were open about what conventions they were going too, how that would delay, and where I was in the queue. Every time they had an update I received an email. I’ve never had this level of communication before, I feel spoiled.

Project Completion Time
The project finished much faster than I thought it would, so yes I’m very happy and satisfied with the completion time.

Final Comments
My experience was amazing, the open communication and relative speed in updates took me completely by surprise at first. The partial I received was top quality, and I adore suiting in it. I have in fact commissioned the bodysuit for Faraday by SammySmilesCo, so I look forward to doing another review on them.
