Relationship With Maker
The maker is NOT a friend

Prior Experience
No, first suit

Informed Maker of Issues
Yes, he had sent me a photo of the paws and I wasn’t happy with the color as it was a main part of the suit. He quickly fixed it for free after I offered to pay some sort of revision fee.

Head

Wear Satisfaction

It’s generally a pretty good fit if a little loose. I could fix this easily with some padding. The visibility is better than I thought it would be and the mouth opening provides good ventilation. It also comes with removable velcro eyelids with a sleepy expression, but this impedes visibility. I wouldn’t wear them if I had to walk anywhere.

Visual Satisfaction

It looks awesome, very striking. I love the gold in the eyes. The lil teeth and tongue are cute and the face is shaved correctly. The nose is soft pink minky and stuffed which I really like. The mane has the correct effect and I was very impressed with the color mixing they did. A lot of the suit is UV reactive, including the green fur in the mane. The markings are sewed together well, and the expression is the happy one I was looking for. The follow me eyes work great.

Special Attachments and Features

Special features are the removable eyelids. They stick on really well and don’t fall off, but they do impair visibility quite a bit. I wouldn’t recommend wearing them while walking.

Body

Wear Satisfaction

The body fits well with some room to spare. It is VERY heavy, but the character has long fur so there’s nothing to do about that. I haven’t had to worry about seams ripping or something feeling fragile, but the zipper sometimes comes off the track. Speaking of the zipper, it’s well hidden and in the front. The padding is easy to insert and stays in place very well.

Visual Satisfaction

The colors are correct, the mane effect works very well. It’s very brightly colored and the lighter neon color is uv reactive, which was a happy plus. The fur is super soft and is keeping that way with regular maintenance.

Special Attachments and Features

Padded legs- the padding just slips in. Stays in place and does not impede movement and is very soft and squishy.

Hands and Feet

Wear Satisfaction

Both fit perfect. The hands can get VERY sweaty. Feet are easy to walk in and I can do some simple tasks with the paws. The pads are soft minky on the paws and exposed eva foam on the bottom.

Visual Satisfaction

They look great, the little claw nubs are adorable.

Special Attachments and Features

The left paw has a squeaker in the palm. Does not impair wear and gives me a lil fidget thing to rub in my hand.

Tails

Wear Satisfaction

The tail is attached to a belt which goes through the hole in the back. I had to buy the belt, but the tail fits fine and doesn’t impede movement. It’s big and soft.

Visual Satisfaction

Looks like a tail and swishes easily. Very good.

Overall

Product Satisfaction

How was your concept art realized?
The maker required a reference sheet with a couple of views, very standard procedure. It looks like his interpretation of Honeydew, which isn’t bad at all and I quite like, but don’t expect it to be a 1 to 1 style wise. Nothing was altered other than slight color variations due to fur availability.

How well does everything fit together and match up?
Everything looks very professionally constructed, nothing looks awkward or misshapen, the markings are spot on. I think it looks a little more unique than some of the other wolves/dogs Felix has made which I liked. The final effect is striking.

Overall Project Quality
A++, this suit is awesome, Felix is a joy to work with.

Purchase Process

Initial Contact
He opened on twitter I believe directing us to a form on FurAffinity. I submitted that form and was contacted by twitter when my suit was accepted. The form included prices, turnaround times, special add ons, links to DTD tutorials

Maker Response Time
He was pretty quick, we went back on forth on twitter dm, i think maybe an email or two, and Telegram. If I had a question or wanted an update at any point he was very quick to respond.

Maker Professionalism
Felix was very professional, responsive, and open to changes. He frequently updates his Trello on each individual piece of each project he has and was polite as can be.

Project Completion Time
I want to say it was around 5-6 months? I was satisfied, especially since I was getting so many progress pics. He was able to meet my deadline for a con.
