Features: Hair / Wig Concept Art Photos of Completed Product Overall Initial ContactI believe I found the opening on twitter, and submitted a quote request through a survey form. Maker CommunicationI received a quote in a very timely manner and they were very professional. The costs associated with the commission were clear (suit price vs shipping vs sandal price). We primarily discussed details through email, though we also used telegram at points. They were good at keeping their trello up to date as well, so completion estimates were always clear. Project Completion TimeMy project was completed when it was estimated. I believe it was originally slated for October, but because of my payment schedule and other suits, ended up being completed in early November. It was started shortly after my final payment if I remember correctly, and the project was completed by the con I had mentioned earlier in the process (it was not a guaranteed date, but just a date that it would be nice to have it by), though there was a bit of a battle with customs. I do not believe this was the fault of my maker, but rather a customs agent who didn't properly read the form- they seemed to believe there was real animal fur in the package even though the form clearly stated it was all fake. I paid for express shipping to have the suit by the con, but because of the holdup in customs, did not receive it on time. My maker was very active in figuring out what was happening with customs, finding out why it was being held up, and figuring out how to get it released ASAP. They were very communicative throughout this situation, and I was very grateful for their assistance. They were also kind enough to refund the express portion of my shipping, which I appreciated so much. Overall Project QualityI am in love with this suit! I think it is constructed very well, and I have had no issues with durability. It's been easier to wear than I expected, and I think he looks phenomenal. The maker was extremely communicative. I am very happy with the price as well. I think he looks very consistent with what I expected from previous work, and his fit is almost perfect! The only issue is the sleeves being SLIGHTLY too short- due to a mistake with my DTD, not the maker- and they've offered several solutions that are very suitable! It doesn't really impact the wearability, as it's just a bit of the cuff of the hand that shows when I stretch wrong. If I'm mindful of how I move my arms, it is perfectly fine! Components Head Wear SatisfactionThis head fits perfectly! I actually lost my own separate balaclava in between my first and second wears of the head, but it's lined and very comfortable even without my own balaclava- so it's been no issue! I am able to get plenty of air through the mouth, and is about on par with other heads I have worn. The vision is very good; of course like most suits there is a little bit of a blind spot in the center, but I have had no issues navigating anywhere. Visual SatisfactionVisually, I think he looks fantastic! The markings are perfect, and I love the floppy ear shape and movement. They are super fun to play with and I get a lot of cute interactions with kids and other suiters because of the movement of the ears. I haven't noticed anything negative visually! The shaving is great, and the follow-me eyes look great in every photo I've seen. His expression is very fitting for his personality! His mohawk is also great and feels very sturdy! One-Piece Body Wear SatisfactionI was surprised at my ability to move in this considering the amount of padding. I actually find it easier to not trip over my own feet than when I've worn partial suits with large feet. It is tiring to walk in, but that is to be expected of any thick padding like this! I am also able to go up and down stairs decently. I've had no issues with the seams, but I do have to be careful with the positioning of the padding to make sure the suit zips properly. The padding on the inside is easily removable 'pillow' type padding and makes things easy to wash! Air flows nicely and while the leg padding does block a lot of airflow, a good breeze helps cool down the entire suit very well. Visual SatisfactionThe bodysuit shape is exactly what I wanted! I specifically wanted a dropped crotch digi suit since my character is a dachshund. I am very particular about the shape of digi legs on my own suits, and this maker's previous suits were about what I wanted, and this suit hits that mark as well! I think it's proportioned well and looks nice in a variety of poses. The fur is very soft and I have received a lot of compliments on how neat and smooth it looks. (Of course part of this is taking proper care of the suit, but I think the maker did a great job in making this easier!) Its easy to figure out which direction to brush it properly. The tail is permanently attached to the bodysuit as well and the maker did move the tail position after discussion during the construction process- I am extremely happy with it! The markings are perfect, and I am very happy with the bodysuit. Hands Wear SatisfactionThe hands are also great! They fit very nicely. I do occasionally have to adjust them on my hands, but they have never come off unless I wanted them to. The cuffs are teal on these white paws, and in certain positions or stretches, they do show. I have discussed this with my maker and we have a few options to fix it, and it's such a tiny amount that shows that it really isn't much of a problem at all! I opted for no claws on my paws, and the padding in the fingers is extremely comfortable. Visual SatisfactionThese look great and match the rest of the colors on the suit perfectly! Tail Wear SatisfactionThe tail is attached to the bodysuit, and the maker did move it after discussion during the construction process in order for it to hang more naturally. It's in the perfect spot now and I'm glad they asked me about it during the build! Visual SatisfactionI think the tail looks great and matches the concept perfectly. As stated previously, the tail was moved to sit in a more natural position, and I'm glad we made that change! Feet Wear SatisfactionThese feet are attached to the bodysuit. The leg length is perfect and the feet are easy to slip into. I sometimes have difficulty getting my foot out again if my feet get too sweaty, but proper socks usually helps. I have not walked in the feet without the sandals yet, but with the sandals, I do sometimes end up with my foot and the sandals in a strange positioning that makes walking a little bit uncomfortable. This usually takes a lot of walking and even some jogging to happen. Visual SatisfactionThe feet look great and I absolutely love that the sandal color matches the rest of the suit very well!
