Paid the full price upfront and had quick access to his Trello and Telegram group. Extremely efficient and very professional. Never had any doubts about what was needed and it was a perfectly smooth process. Maker CommunicationThe maker communicated very well, no issues. Started with emails, and while the fursuit was being made, pictures and messages were exchanged via Telegram. Communication was very prompt and I never had to wait more than a day, even with the significant time difference. Every WIP was easy to double check, even a slight mishap with the glue causing mild cosmetic issues internally (i.e. couldn't be seen from the outside) was communicated promptly and the honesty was highly appreciated. The conversations were professional, but also casual so that it wasn't alienating. Remi was very kind throughout the process, and maintained a level of profession significantly beyond what's expected, while not being formal to the extent that it's alienating. Conversations were very clear and to the point as well, I never needed to ask for clarification. Another good note is that there was an issue going around with neoprene lining with other fursuits, leading to some dye leakage (or something along the lines). Remi first offered all customers to cover this under his warranty and proceeded to test the lining with the faux fur to test for any dye leaking due to washing. Luckily there were no issues, but Remi went above and beyond with this mild concern going around as soon as his attention was brought to it in suits that weren't even his products. Highly commendable. Project Completion TimeI ordered it in November 2021, it was finished in late March 2022, the exact month the Trello said it would be done in from the beginning. The timing was impressive and came much earlier than I would expect for a fursuit. I was very happy that I could wear this before I graduated from high school, something I had been wishing for a while. The shipping only had mild issues with the Japanese taxation system, but that isn't the maker's fault. It arrived in early April 2022. The time expectations were clearly stated in the Trello and progress was communicated clearly via Telegram. The shipping was also tracked by AirTag for extra security, which was highly appreciated. Overall Project QualityTL;DR: Looks: Excellent, very accurate to the initial reference. The quality can be easily seen and even appreciated by non-furries. Only mild issue in the tags on the feetpaws, but that is a minor issue at most. Highly recommended. Wear: Excellent, feels great to wear. Only the arms feel slightly itchy due to the material. Otherwise, very comfortable (especially the feet). Durability: Seems very good, no issues as of 3.5 months into having the suit. Overall seems very good. Fit: Very good to the measurements of my body, only the head is mildly tight which can be good for some, and possibly disliked by others. Personally, I found it to fit well. Overall: Excellent fursuit, I am incredibly happy with the final product. Components Head Wear SatisfactionThe lining is very well done, it's a neoprene lining which makes it quite comfortable to wear. It is a snug fit to my head, but definitely not suffocating, quite comfortable actually. At first the head was only slightly tight, but I can wear the thing for hours and still be fine. It's nowhere near as stuffy as I thought it would be, which basically means that it definitely makes my head feel insulated and warm, but not unbearably hot and claustrophobic, even in the Tokyo summer. Another thing lies in that the cast foam base seems to make the head quite light to wear, it definitely does not hinder movement so much. Vision is like making a pair of binoculars with your hands around your eyes, which I believe is pretty good. I do have issues looking below my snout, but that's 100% to be expected with a fursuit. The visibility is very good for what it is. Overall, wearing the head is what I think is as good as it gets with fursuits, it's only slightly tight which may not be the best for others, but I'm certainly more than happy with it. Visual SatisfactionAll I can say about this is wow, it's honestly amazing how accurate Issei looks to the reference. Everything matches perfectly to Issei's design and I am incredibly happy with the look. The expression is definitely friendly and if anything, considering how I was able to get away with wearing this at school without scaring anyone, it's an excellent looking suit. The mere ability for the head to even be appreciated by non-furries is impressive, and honestly, I never expected a fursuit to be so easily accepted by others. The shaving is even for sure, I can see the seams slightly, but again, I believe that is expected. Eyelids are also really nice looking, the only issue I have with them is that it's slightly difficult to put them on exactly right, but that's a very mild issue if anything. The follow-me eyes also work very well, perspective seems to be just right. The hair tuft at the top is perfect to Issei's design as well, no issues there. The craftsmanship of the teeth is very good as well, it's the soft type and I am impressed by the detail put into the teeth, it looks very good. I also asked for an extra piece of neck fluff which is like some padding that goes around my neck like a ring, and is secured as a magnet. It works incredibly well and I think was quite a simple fix for what I thought was an unusual request to add to a fursuit. I couldn't be any happier with Issei's extra neck fluff being brought to life. Overall, the visuals are beautiful, I love the style, and I think the head looks perfect. Hands Wear SatisfactionThe hands fit without any issues, and are surprisingly easy to use for padded, 4 fingered handpaws. It seems to be very durable, with only a bit of fur being tangled inside the hands in the early days of the fursuit. I don't think this is a maker issue, I think this just comes with the material. The padding is also quite comfortable with the padding itself being lined with neoprene like the head. The hands are not lined, but the seams are very nice and not uncomfortable at all. I've washed these pretty easily in the washing machine as well, so it's quite easy to use. The edge is also sewed very well, looks very durable and I have no issues with it. I will also mention the armsleeves in this section, and I will say that it's decently comfortable to wear, just slightly itchy given the material being used. Again, no issues with the build quality. Overall, quite comfortable, durable, and I am very satisfied with the build quality. Visual SatisfactionBoth the hands and the armsleeves look excellent. Just like the head, it is perfectly accurate to Issei's design and I have 0 issues with it. The claws also look very nice, the seams don't interfere with the look as well. The shaving on the handpaws is also excellent, feels great to the touch. I cannot state enough how accurate the look of the fursuit is to Issei's reference, I would call it accurate to even +/- 0.5 cms. Overall, excellent accuracy, excellent quality of shaving, and the design doesn't look like it'll wash off anytime soon. Tail Wear SatisfactionThe tail fits around your average belt with a strap, so how comfortable this is relies strongly on the belt that you are wearing. As expected with a medium sized tail on a leather belt, I do get strained eventually if I'm wearing it for too long, I may have slight muscle pain on my lower back after a while, but that's more on the belt (not part of the fursuit) and me having not the best posture. It feels incredibly durable, and the zip to take out the tail stuffing makes for easy unstuffing and restuffing the tail for cleaning. A nice detail that isn't seen is the strap is a nice little rainbow one, like a pride flag. I thought that was an adorable detail to add, personally. Overall, it's just as durable as the rest of the suit (i.e. quite durable), and any issues with the fit are unrelated to the tail itself. Visual SatisfactionAgain, same drill here. Looks really accurate, the shaving is nice and even, even the zip is hidden very well (I actually found it difficult to find at first!). The tail moves as you'd expect from one filled with stuffing, keeps its form and moves with you. The fur is quite fluffy and there are no issues with it here. Overall, looks amazing like the rest of the suit, and it keeps its form quite well. Feet Wear SatisfactionJust to illustrate how comfortable these are, I will literally wear these things as slippers without any questions. They are indoor paws with fursuit sandals for outdoor use, but these feel like very comfortable pillows around your feet, I love wearing them. It is lined with something different than neoprene (I believe) or at least it's thinner than neoprene. These are incredibly comfortable to wear, I love wearing them. The fit is pretty good for my feet as well, and it's not too difficult to move around in them, despite the paws being very big. Cleaning is similar in difficulty to the handpaws so no biggie there. Also the pillows in the paws are soft to the extent that I would be happy to use these things as pillows if necessary. Overall, wearing these paws are perfect for me. I genuinely love how they feel. Visual SatisfactionAgain these look incredibly accurate to Issei's design, I have similar comments to the handpaws. The claws look great, the feet look great, and it's all accurate to Issei's design. The shaving is perfect for wolf paws as well, genuinely looks amazing. However, there is only one issue that I've had with the look, and that lies in how the left and right indicating tags stick out and can be seen from the outside. It's a very minor cosmetic thing, but if I wanted anything fixed on the fursuit, that's pretty much the only thing I'd fix on it. Otherwise, this looks excellent. Overall, albeit for the minor issue with the tags, these look just as good as the rest of the suit: excellent. Special FeaturesThe special feature (as mentioned before) is the extra neck fluff that goes around my neck using a magnet. Very easy to put on, makes it look like Issei has an extra winter coat in the form of neck fluff, and is completely accurate to the ref sheet. High quality and very durable, lighter than expected, and stays on quite well. I was offered to have this properly attached to the head, but having it removable made this much better for summer. I can assure that asking for this extra feature worked perfectly to my expectations. Overall, the neck fluff worked very well for me, I am very happy about it. Final CommentsHonestly, I feel like I couldn't be any happier with WildDogWorks (Remi) as a maker for Issei. I love the style, accuracy, wear, as well as the customer service being excellent. I would highly recommend commissioning him (and actually have recommended him to others) if you have the funds for the fursuit. If you can spend the money for his suits (I paid 3700 CAD for my full partial, which is definitely worth it), I would highly recommend him for the craftsmanship, promptness, and professionalism that he shows in his work.
