Wear Satisfaction
Wearing the hood on the kigu is extremely comfortable. It’s not too heavy and the ears stay straight up. The fabric is soft inside and out.
Visual Satisfaction
The symmetry with the face is incredible!! His markings are spot on and very cleanly embroidered. The ears are even. The fur used for the hair tuft is of decent quality.
Special Attachments and Features
Tall ears and the hair tuft are the head features on this kigu. The length of the ears cost extra but it was worth it for me. They stay up, they are even, match the concept art, and are fun to play with!
The hair tuft is only attached at the base and is weighted down. It has fur on one side and fleece on the other. The only thing I would change is to have the fur on both sides of the tuft, because you can see the fleece on the underside when I bounce around. I pinned it to the head to keep it in one place. Overall, not a big deal at all and it does not retract from the quality of the kigu.
Wear Satisfaction
I am very satisfied with how comfortable this kigu is to wear. Although it can be warm because it is high quality fleece, it is super cozy and the stitching isn’t noticeable on the skin. The pockets are super convenient. I asked for a slightly slimmer body and I am pleased with the results. Movement is not restricted.
Visual Satisfaction
It looks great!! Matches the concept art to my desires. Markings are symmetrical and line up fantastically. I supplied the fur on the body so it is what I believe to be quality. It also matches my suit. It matches the concept art that was developed for me by the maker.
Special Attachments and Features
The fur around the neck is a special feature on this kigu. I love the way it looks! It matches with the fleece perfect! The tail is the second feature and one of my favorites. It is well made and super cute, it wags as I walk around. I did have to brush a seam out of the tip.
Product Satisfaction
I gave the maker my reference and I was given a piece of concept art for the kigu that I approved. It matched my reference. The only thing that I would have changed if I had realized is the color of the grey and tan. The maker used a grey that matched the concept and in person it was a bit lighter than I had hoped. The tan on the concept art is darker than the tan used on the kigu. I take fault for not making my preferences clear, however I was not shown the colors of the fleece before the project had started. I am still very happy with the outcome and there is only so much control over the shade of the color. At the end of the day, it’s still tan and grey, and I love my kigu regardless.
Perfect! Fits me very well and everything matches up.
Absolutely. Worth every penny. With proper care and attention Curlworks kigus will probably outlive most of us.
Purchase Process
Very easy! I sent them an email when their quotes/commissions opened and they responded promptly. I asked the makers a few questions before I sent in a quote to ensure my designs and requests were reasonable. I had previously met the makers through local furry meets. We were not close friends but we certainly knew each other. Their measurement guide was simple and easy. Very easy communication.
Very satisfied. Replies were prompt and never more than a day. Quotes were over email and all other communications were over telegram.
Makers were professional.
I did not have a deadline for my kigu. I commissioned in December and it was estimated by March, but was done in April due to reasonable delays. I picked up the product straight from the makers so shipping was not applicable.
