Original concept art created by the maker

Wear Satisfaction

Are you satisfied with how it fits you?
Yes, it fits me perfectly. It does not slide around at all but also isnt too tight. The head is completely soft and durable, with no hard pieces, no visible foam or seams, and is fully lined inside with custom lycra featuring the character.

How is the ventilation?
Very good, my mouth is in the mouth area so I breathe fresh air. Because of that, warm air doesn’t get trapped in the head either, making it very well ventilated.

How is the vision?
Very good, all MCB suits I’ve worn have superior vision to most fursuits simply because how professionally the eyes are painted and how large they are.

Visual Satisfaction

How is the symmetry?
The head is purposefully asymmetrical markings-wise to match the design. The foaming is perfectly symmetrical, nothing is lopsided or strange looking. The head matches the character design perfectly.

Is the shaving even?
Yes, the fur is very short and evenly shaved.

How does the fur feel and look?
The fur feels and looks beautiful!

How satisfied are you with the expression and overall appearance of the head?
The eyes are static happy eyes and he has a pair of removable magnetic eyelids to make his expression look angry, which I asked for and the maker kindly added for me at no additional cost.

Does it match the concept art?
Yes, it does match the concept art perfectly. The original concept, as well as the custom print fabric that I made some small design edits to, namely changing the eyes from brown to light blue and adding a heart shaped marking to his side.

Wear Satisfaction

How satisfied are you with how the body fits?
SO satisfied. This is probably the highlight of the suit for me. It’s so well tailored to my body that I have a full range of movement (Can put my hands above my head, and touch my toes.), and despite the large padding and dropped crotch, it’s still light and gets good air circulation. So very comfortable and fun to wear!

How is the quality and durability?
Perfect. No popped seams since getting the suit, even after wearing it for an entire weekend convention.

What is the interior like?
There is no lining. The padding is removable lycra so it makes for easy washing as well. The zipper is on the front but is completely hidden.

How is the airflow?
The black material has tiny holes in the wefting which are hidden by the long pile, so standing in front of a fan aerates the entire suit. It’s more breathable than any other suit I owned despite having longer furs.

Visual Satisfaction

How is the symmetry?
The design is asymmetrical so symmetry is not an issue.

Is the shaving even?
There is no shaving on the body.

How does the fur feel and look?
Soooo, so soft. The long furs are beautiful and high quality.

How satisfied are you with the selection of colors and materials used? If there is any padding, does it create a realistic curve/shape?
Very satisfied. The padding is a lovely shape as well, nothing odd or out of place looking.

Does it match the concept art?
It matches the concept art perfectly.

Hands and Feet

Wear Satisfaction

How satisfied are you with how the hands and feet fit?
Very satisfied. They fit me perfectly. The feet specifically the most comfortable feet I have ever worn, fully plush, lined, and have super soft gel insoles inside of them and stuffed on the sides. Its so plush!

How is the quality and durability?
The seams are very durable and high quality. There have been no popped seams since getting them. The feet are indoor feet with paw pads that have held up to wear and are easy to clean.

What is the interior like?
Handpaws are not lined, and feature small pillow padding inside. Feetpaws are fully lined and are fully stuffed inside of the liner. They are very high quality and durable and have not had a single popped seam.

Visual Satisfaction

How is the symmetry?
Both the hands and feet are asymmetrical by design, but shape and look-wise they are perfectly symmetrical.

Is the shaving even?
Very evenly shaved all around.

How does the fur feel and look?
The fur is super soft and looks beautiful!

How satisfied are you with the selection of colors and materials used?
High quality soft faux furs were used and the paw pads are high quality vinyl with a skin texture to it, which gives a nice toony but still somewhat realistic look and feel to them.

Do they match the concept art?
Not only do they match the concept, they were also custom built to tailor to my character – Libra has a special toe and finger pattern that make his hands much smaller than MCBs other canine suits to fit his pomeranian species better. He also doesn’t have claws to add to the soft look. I was over the moon when this was suggested and I feel like this is a good showcase for MCBs attention to detail and quality; even on a time crunch, my suit was given extra care and diligence to match the concept art.

Wear Satisfaction

How satisfied are you with how the tail(s) fit?
The tail is sewn onto the suit. It’s cute and it wiggles from side to side, is very plush and has a nice look. I am very happy with it.

How is the quality and durability?
They are very durable, nothing is wrong with it. There are no straps so it’s really just a part of the body.

Visual Satisfaction

How is the symmetry?
It is perfectly symmetrical.

Is the shaving even?
There is no shaving on the tail.

How does the fur feel and look?
The fur is super soft, brushable and beautifully high quality, the same as the rest of the body.

How satisfied are you with the selection of colors and materials used?
Very satisfied.

Does it match the concept art?
Yes, it matches the concept art perfectly.

Product Satisfaction

How was your concept art realized?
Did the maker require art from a specific artist?
No, but the concept art was done by the maker originally.

How did the maker interpret your concept art?
The maker translated some small changes I wanted or made, and denied others because she did not feel they fit with her vision for the suit. She allowed the eye color change but did not allow adding small black wings, and also did not add a heart marking to the cheek. Instead the heart was placed on the character’s side beneath his arm. I definitely could have spoken up or been more adamant about those changes though so it is also my fault there. The design was fairly complicated but was still replicated exactly from the concept art to the suit, so overall I am satisfied, although I wish he could have those tiny wings still!

How closely does the costume match your design?
I am satisfied, the character matches my vision well as well as matching the fursuit makers vision. I am a little disappointed not all of the small changes I wanted could be added, but I also did not want to interfere with the makers vision for the suit.

How well does everything fit together and match up?
Does everything match up at the seams?
Everything matches up perfectly. The suit is a seamless looking design with each piece transitioning perfectly to the next. It is truly a work of art.

Does everything fit correctly?
Yes, everything fits perfectly.

Is this costume consistent with the maker’s style?
Yes. This was MCBs first pomeranian so I did not have any expectation of what it should look like, but I am satisfied with the result.

Overall Project Quality
Yes, I am happy overall with the way my suit came out! Everything fits together well and I can tell I got a quality suit that will last me for years to come. I feel that for the quality it was worth the price, although I wish that the deadlines were adhered to better.

Purchase Process

Initial Contact
Very easy. I filled out a form on the website.

Maker Response Time
Very quickly. I was contacted the same night that commissions closed.

Maker Professionalism
The communication was professional and friendly. I was also given access to a telegram channel which would have WIPs and updates regarding the timeline and deadlines for suits, as well as the trello which contained due dates. I felt I was treated well by the maker and that she cares a lot about each suit she makes.

Project Completion Time
How quickly was your project finished? – My suit was finished about 1 year and 10 months after commissioning. MCB does not do hard deadlines, but around 20+ ETAs given by the maker were missed and my suit took about 1 year more than my original due date.

Were the time expectations communicated clearly or were you left in the dark? – I did not ask for a specific completion date, all ETAs were given by the maker. The maker did have some extenuating circumstances during my time commissioning them, however there were also many ETAs that were missed before those circumstances, as well as after those circumstances had passed, as well as periods of time where no work was done for weeks or sometimes months at a time.

Were your items shipped in a timely manner? – Yes, my suit was shipped almost immediately after it was finished.

Final Comments
I believe that MCBs suits are of top quality in the fandom and each suit has a lot of love and care put into every part of it. They are unique and truly wonderful pieces of art with incredible quality, not a hair out of place not only on this suit but also on the other suit I own by them. I would love to own more suits from them in the future and would definitely commission them again, although I would go in knowing that it will most likely take a decent bit longer than the original ETA given to me. MCB has impeccable quality, and wait time plus communication and professionalism can be improved upon easily and I’m sure that they will be improved upon in the future. Despite the issues with wait time I am still very happy with the product I received and would recommend them to anyone interested in commissioning a suit. I would also recommend anyone commissioning them give artistic freedom to the maker to change your design or create a design for you because she is very talented at making unique designs.
