Easy enough. Email and a contacy forum on the website are provided.
There were a few delays because of Covid-19 being at its peak during the time of the commission, but they were always friendly and professional when contacted. I'd imagine they'd be a bit faster before the pandemic/if you contacted them now.
Quoted/Paid deposit in October 2020. Head started in Winter/Spring of 2021, and finished that fall. I didn't give a specific requested completion date.
Very happy! Am considering them again for digi legs/a bodysuit in the future.
$885 USD was paid in total; $177 deposit at the start and $708 when finished.
Head fits well and is comfortable enough to walk around the con center with. Haven't tried opening the mouth wide enough to fit a fan yet but I'm sure it would work just fine! Suit head fits very snugly around my own without much wiggle room, and the inside is lined with a balaclava. As expected with a fursuit head it gets hot inside pretty quickly.
My previous suit (by another maker) had a closed mouth so I can't judge well on ventilation, but I've never felt in danger of suffocating or anything? Air doesn't really flow through the head unless I specifically tip it back and aim my mouth towards a fan, but this seems more like a fursuit problem in general and not a fault of the maker. There's also a magnetic detachable tongue.
Removing earrings and glasses when putting the head on is a must. I did request room for glasses (and there IS room for glasses, you just have to put them in first. They'll fog up a bit sometimes but wearing glasses could be doable. I usually just go for contacts,) so the neck measurement might be slightly off? When putting the head on it presses against your upper neck/adam's apple and continues to press against it during use, but it isn't too much of an issue. Never is it painful, just a minor discomfort. Again, something that doesn't seem like a fault of the maker themself and just something natural that happens when you don't have a customer/model in person. It certainly doesn't turn me off from using the head either!
Vision is quite well! A bit of a blind spot in the middle (as expected from fursuits) and I mostly end up looking out of my left (yellow) eye. Despite the eye color there isn't much of a tint/filter over things I see. The mouth does not get in the way either.
He's adorable! Love the maker's style and I'd been eyeing them for a long time before commissioning. They were also quite kind and accommodating during the design process; the references I had provided were not 100% clear on some of the ear markings and they were happy to re-do them after I came up with a better guide. Now they look perfect.
Shaving is done well, fur was nice and soft when coming out of the box and still decently soft after suiting with him at AC. A wash would likely restore it to the initial texture.
Magnetic tongue. Fits fine in and out. Sort of wish it could stick out of the mouth a bit further (teeth sometimes get in the way of posing) but it still looks great!
