Sheenitude often posted about their openings on their Instagram and Twitter, offering a clear quote form and commission form separately. This made it very easy to commission them. After being accepted, an email and Instagram message was sent to me. This made it easy to see my next steps in the process.
Communication with Sheenitude happened on Instagram exclusively, and within 24 hours of being accepted in the queue. This made it easy to keep everything in one place. They were professional, and treated me as a respected client, telling me what to expect throughout the commission process, and when to expect it. Overall, the maker was extremely pleasant to communicate with.
Nixie was finished within the given ETA of 1-3 months. I am very satisfied with Sheenitude's quick completion and shipping time. The box arrived in decent condition and the suit was not damaged.
Nixie has been an amazing suit to own and I am extremely satisfied with her overall quality. Sheenitude was such a great maker to work with. They had great and frequent communication, WIPs, and were understanding of any requested changes. I was particularly picky about the hair shape, but Sheenitude went through the entire process, polite and transparent. An easy 10/10 maker.
After getting accepted into their queue, I was told my suit would be finished within 3 months. Nixie was completed in a little over 2 months with clear communication and updates on their trello. The quick turnaround time mixed with the polite and professional attitude made this experience the best ive had with any fursuit maker. I would definitely consider another commission in the future. Overall, the price I paid feels more than fair for the product and experience I recieved. The quality and comfortability of Nixie's suit is unmatched to any other suit I own.
Nixie is by far the most form fitting fursuit head Ive ever worn!
-Fit: The overall fit of the head is snug, secure, and perfectly moves alongside my own head for extreamly expressive movement! Without the fear of it sliding around. However, despite Sheenitude making adjustments for my glasses, the suit head can be a tad difficult to get in and out of in my glasses. Once the suit head is on though, the fit is perfect. In the past, ive had fursuit heads hurt my back or neck, but Sheenitude did a great job making Nixie a light and balanced wearing experience. The head and neck are also lined with a smooth and comfortable neoprene. I am able to comfortably suit for hours at a time!
-Ventilation: The ventilation of this suit has been the best ive experienced from any fursuit head. The eyes and mouth give plenty of airflow and circulation. There is definitely not enough room for any fan installations, however, I dont feel the head has any need for them at all!
-Visibility: Once again, I have not owned a suit with better visibility than this one! The front blindspot is standard, if not better than standard, for a fursuit head. However, the peripheral vision is astonishingly good. Ive had no issues getting around without a handler nor have I needed to adjust the suit to improve vision at any time.
-Symmetry: I am amazed at how symmetrical the head is!!! All the markings are spot on and there is nothing wrong with the shaping at all.
-Shaving: The fur shave is incredibly smooth with great attention to detail. There is only a few spots where it seems the fur was nicked, but thats only if you are looking very hard for it. Overall, I'd say this is some of the best fursuit shaving ive seen, and im still blown away by how Sheenitude got it so short and smooth. The transition between the shaved and longer fur is also very well done.
-Materials: The fur is very soft and uniform, making it easy to brush without any hassle. The minky used is also incredibly soft. Non of the markings rub off and no markings are airbrushed on. After multiple washes, it is clear there is also no bleeding and no seams have popped. The ears do seem to get bent easily when stored before a con, but this seems to resolve have no lasting effect on the overall appearance.
-Expression: The expression is exactly what I wanted! The eyelids reflect the sassy/punk look I requested and overall I'm very pleased with the varied expressions. The follow me eyes also work as expected. Additionally, I was blown away when I found out the eyes were painted because they are perfectly symmetrical and smooth.
-Concept Art: I am greatly satisfied with how accurate to the concept she is! In my opinion, the eye markings especially look even better than in the concept art I made. The hair was majorly changed to be more fursuit friendly (my request) as well as the braid. I did not request it for this suit, though I may for the future.
Sadly, the armsleeves are the only part of the suit that does not fit me, and therefore I do not wear.
-Fit: The armsleeves are a bit too roomy and the back strap will not stay on without sliding down. I measured according to the visual measurement images Sheenitude sent, but the armsleeves do not match said measurement (circumference). Length wise, they fit perfectly, but the width is about 50% wider than measured.
-Quality: Other than not fitting, I can tell that the armsleeves were crafted with immense care. The materials used are very professional quality. I cannot speak on durability, as I have not worn them outside of the initial fitting out of the box.
-Visually: The armsleeves look wonderful and match the concept art perfectly! There are no visible seams, rips, or tears. The colors used are also beautiful and look stunning together.
I am in love with Nixie's handpaws (hoofpaws)
-Fit: While wearing, I am able to move my wrists and all 3 fingers with ease. Even opening doors or picking up items is much easier than most fursuit paws. I have no issues putting them on or taking them off, and the lining helps with this. Additionally, the fit is no too tight, but they also do not have any issues staying on.
-Quality: The quality of the paws are stunning. Ive had zero popped seams or issues through at least 40 hours of wear. The lining looks and feels like professional quality as well. Overall, I have no complaints about the handpaws whatsoever!
-Visually: Once again, stunning! They match the concept art perfectly. The minky hooves also are sooo soft to the touch. The fur on the paws also is incredibly soft and looks stunning for photos. Overall, the handpaws are one of my favorite parts of the suit.
Her tail looks and feels great to wear!
-Fit: Having 2 beltloops instead of 1 for a nub tail was definitely a first for me, but it feels so much more secure to my body, without the worry of tension breaking them. Despite having more secure beltloops than standard nub tails, the bounce is still very prominent and adorable! The only issue I have is the weight distribution leaning the end of the tail back a bit too far, and therefore showing the flat part of the tail and belt. Overall, I still love the way the tail sits to my body.
-Quality: The quality and durability of Nixie's tail is perfect. I haven't had a single pop, rip, or tear! Tails are one of the first fursuit parts to have issues due to sitting positions and snags, but after over a year of use, I can confidently say, none of those issues have happened. The quality of this tail is amazing.
-Visually: Nixie's tail matches the concept art beautifully. Even the heart marking on the tail is clearly shown. Though the overall size is a tad big, I also understand that most fursuiters upgrade to a fullsuit, and thus, proportions on a partial tend to look bigger. The tail performs perfectly however, and the expressive bounce is something I love about it.
Nixies feetpaws are snug and secure!
-Fit: The feetpaws on this suit are perfectly snug and secure, like normal shoes. I have no issues putting them on, taking them off, or with them falling off during wear. They are also incredibly comfortable to wear, as they are lined and padded. I would say they are definitely slightly bigger looking feetpaws, and therefore are harder to walk in, but this has not caused me much issue.
-Quality: Once again, beautiful quality. Not a single popped seam or tear. The bottom of the feetpaws have also shown no signs of wear or tear. The interior is lined, which I prefer as I have sensory issues. They are also slightly padded which really helps during wear. The feetpaws are easy to clean and Ive had zero issues with sweat.
-Visually: The shaping and markings of the feetpaws are perfect! They are accurate to the concept art as well. The quality of the fur is soft like the rest of the suit and not a single seam is showing. Overall, the feetpaws are very great quality, and look stunning as well!
