All good.
All good.
Very satisfied, completed in time for me to take Orion to a furcon.
The maker is very conciencious when it comes to making fursuits to a high standard and quality. I have nothing but admiration for her studiousness and attention to detail.
The head is a little bit tight, though I think I should have supplied a head cast before the maker started to remake the head. So no fault there.
The head also needs a fan (because it gets really hot in a foam based head, plus with the body heat rising to the head it needs additional ventilation), but the maker doesn't supply fursuit heads with fans, so I (still) need an external fan fitting.
The fursuit is a Winter only fursuit, it is made with double thickness fur. The normal temperature for wearing starts at zero Celcius and is normally good to -20 Celcius, before you have to swap Heatgear for Coolgear. I have not tried the fursuit below -20 Celcius, but I think with a good underarmour it could be good for much lower temperatures.
Everything on the head is symmetrical and he has stars on the backs of his ears to match his name "Orion"
The shaving and the fur is all well crafted.
The big pile of fluff between the ears is exactly what was asked for.
Everything is easily brushed and smoothed easily.
I wasn't expecting the ears to be some rigid material, I thought they were going to be soft. This does cause a bit of an issue when trying to pack him into a suitcase, I must also remember to be careful around people because accidentally hitting them with the ears will cause them to go ouch.
The expression on the head is well received by adults and children. The toony appearance and the very soft fur on the hand paws is key to why he is so well received and is so successful at offering and giving hugs.
Only in Winter 🙂
Easy to put on, I personally need another way of venting heat because of the double thickness fur.
Orion is a plantigrade suit, so he is very easy to put on, no messing around with digi padding.
The overall appearance of the fursuit is very cute, Orion has many fans. I am based in Germany and I have travelled widely, so he is known in many difference countries and at many different conventions.
I had to replace the handpaws because the previous owner had very small hands. I am very satisfied with the new handpaws. The fur they are made with is much better than the original, it is lighter and the felt pads for the 5 fingers means that everything is much more tactile.
I am happy as the maker made an additional pair of fursuit handpaws for me. These come up to about my elbows and are very useful for partialling.
A big, long, visually richly designed, floofy snep tail.
Very long, needs to be worn with a belt around the tummy, otherwise worn around the waist and the tail drags along the floor.
All okay
The feet fit well (the maker reduced the size of the original feetpaws from size 14 to my size 8!!)
The feetpaws match the rest of the suit.
Would you recommend this maker?
This means the reviewer would recommend Snow Gryphon Suits.
