I followed the maker on Instagram waiting for their opening announcements. When they were open I applied via google doc on their site, I was accepted and emailed to put down the initial payment and to join a Telegram chat all in a very professional and friendly manner!
Honestly amazing, I never had to be the one first reaching out to the makers, they always contacted me with updates or questions first, very thoughtful and always listened to feedback! Showed and asked questions almost every single step of the way!
Holy Moly! I got the commission slot May 15, I was second in line for their commissions so I expected it to likely be a bit. Already the next day they were asking me for fur colors.
June 3rd they announced they'd start on my suit and asked for my measurements, July 13th the suit was finished.
Just a Little over one single month for my suit to be finished. A VERY well made high quality suit done in record time, I'm absolutely amazed!
(Keep this in mind however, since they usually ask for payment half up front, half when done, don't think you have multiple months to save up, better to have all the money ready when you first jump in like I did!)
Honestly I'm very happy, I had gone from my first commission being a maker completely ghosting me, to my second commission being likely the best experience I might ever have.
The quality/time/etc. surpassed all my expectations and I'm very pleased with these makers. For the price of the suit and the style compared to many other Kemono makers, I would HIGHLY recommend them.
This suit has surprised me with its durability, at the con photo I had to kneel on my knees and sit on my heels (which as someone who wants to baby my suits/their seams) I was really afraid to do, but my suit took it no problem!
I took on this maker because of their style, and the fact that they had done sheep in the past (it's hard to find a lot of sheep fursuit makers, I wanted a maker who had experience and that I could see how they had made sheep) and they did not disappoint in the slightest!
Honestly, I have never had such a snug and secure head (and I mean it in all the right ways). At first when trying to work your head in it's kind of tight and hard to fit, but then your head pops in place and fits Very nicely on the chin supports.
It's a 3D printed (I believe) base. lined on the back of the head and neck and even came with a fan near the nose (fan/wires/usb cable included, even a small holder built into the head, just needed a battery pack) and a fabric pocket in the lining of the neck to put your battery pack for the fan (or possibly other small items like phones).
The ventilation is about as best as kemono suits normally are, due to the smaller mouth there isn't much room for airways, however the suit maker having included fans automatically into the heads makes it a great addition and help with the ventilation.
The eyes were my main concern when going into this commission. Mostly because their suits/kemono suits in general all have the 'plastic domes' that are known for constant fogging (especially in the climate I live in). Upon shipping my maker made me aware of where I could get replacement domes for the suits (which I thought was cool, that the domes could easily be replaced vs a plastic sheet hot glued in).
When going to my first con with the suit it almost Immediately fogged up, I wasn't quite sure what to do until I realized, the eyes (and the plastic domes) ARE REMOVEABLE!
So, if you get these heads and often wish you don't have the plastic domes you can completely slide out the eye, the plastic dome, and slide the eye right back in without the dome (all my photos with the suit have the plastic domes popped out, which also improves ventilation.
Vision is ok! I can see well as most suits however tend to run into issue where extreme overhead bright lights shining on the eyes can cause temporary visual issues. Bigger eyes do tend to lead to bigger vision, which is true! All in all is a great made head.
The maker went above and beyond in bringing this character to life.
My character has ring lines on their horns, which I provided in the reference sheet, but had completely expected the horns to be smooth in the suit, so I didn't even mention it to the makers. However, when presented to me they went above and beyond and Embroidered the horn line rings onto the horns without me saying anything!
The airbrushing on the face is also very cute and well done, the nose as well has an embroidered feel and the lip is lined adding another layer of amazing detail, the freckles are also solid and not airbrushed in!
The suit also came with multiple sets of magnetic eyelids, all of which were great!
NOTE: The bodysuit has the tail ATTACHED, the tail will be included in this review vs an entirely different segment for the tail.
Absolutely fantastic. The first thing to note is, unlike other makers- they do NOT use a duct tape dummy. They instead ask you to provide measurements to them via a document (as someone who has struggled with getting people to help make a DTD/had trouble with shipping, this was an Amazing option.)
The ONLY issue that has arisen with the suit was completely on my end, I hadn't given a 100% accurate arm length measurement, so when I bend my arms sometimes my elbow can be seen, however I have the Exact fur (company/color) they used so I can easily extend the arm length a few inches myself, I put No fault on the maker for this (and is so minor I haven't bothered the makers with it) so a small warning? I guess? Is to give them an Accurate measurement, double/triple check everything, better to also give yourself Extra couple of inches/cms instead of getting it exactly accurate!
The padding in the legs are actually hollow foam that is lined, you put it on like pants and then put the suit on, they hold their shape and are great!
The bodysuit itself isn't lined, however the leg padding is lined which is great!
Will include in the feet section but this suit also provides zipper attachments from the leg to the feet, I HIGHLY recommend attaching the feet BEFORE putting the suit on, otherwise you might be fighting it for awhile (like I did) but have the feet attached before getting in and never worry about your legs sticking out!
The tail is attached to the body, however my suit's tail is very short so I'm not sure if their larger tails are also attached to the body or separate, due to it being so small it also has no belt support/attachment and is able to stand on its own! Very well done however also means if I were to partial with this suit I'll have to make my own separate tail (which is no big deal!)
Overall, the suit feels great, at least to me it often hardly feels like I'm wearing the bodysuit even in high temps!
The zipper down the middle is relatively well hidden although since I wear clothing over the torso, so I don't know how it'll look in photos.
The suit itself also has chest padding, it's Very subtle and well done, doesn't look oddly shaped or anything! Completely flows with the suit!
Due to the fact my character is all one color I can't provide any pattern/marking feedback but it's very well done!
The hands are great! Super comfy! They are lined on the inside and have a large foam piece on top to provide a puffy look, the actual hoof/fingertips themselves are not lined but it's great! The lack of padding/foam/etc. in the actual finger digits gives me complete dexterity in my fingers so grabbing things/making gestures/etc. is MUCH easier than with things like puffy paws!
It's great! The maker actually uses a shaven down fur instead of minky for the hoof parts which I haven't seen before but actually looked great! They did a great job on the colors and even asked me for feedback on them.
Although in art my character has 3 fingers and a thumb, I opted for all 5 fingers on my suit and I don't regret it at all! Feels great to have full mobility!
Super duper comfy! Shoes included and lined, as stated in the bodysuit section the top have zippers to connect to the bodysuit!
Like stated too the hoof part is shaven fur instead of minky, but still has the short look which is great!
Absolutely adorable, they were obviously hooves but also had a cutesy chibi look to them which tied the whole suit together.
The shaving was great and has nice bottoms (outdoor feet)
Would you recommend this maker?
This means the reviewer would recommend Al Fur.
– The option to remove/replace the plastic domes
– Amazingly fast making times
– Stellar quality and detail
All for a great price – I CANNOT RECOMMEND THESE MAKERS MORE!
To me they are criminally underrated for the great suits they make, they need more attention and customers.
If I had another character I would want to make into a suit, I would go to them in a heartbeat, they are amazing and so friendly and professional.
