[YES] Redwood the Wolf by Northern Kaiju

The airflow for breathing is reasonable, but not amazing. I had to adjust how I wear my balaclava – keep it on my chin instead of covering my mouth. For short sessions when I want to look best and won't be moving around much, I can have the blep tongue in even though it reduces airflow a bit. If using the posable tongue I'll usually wear it to the side and it won't affect airflow much that way.
When I plan to be suiting for a while, I'll take the tongue out for best airflow.
When resting during longer sessions, or in particularly warm environments (in a club, outside in the sun) I'll have an electric fan stuffed into the mouth. I found a way to mostly balance it on the lower teeth which is fairly handy (though looks a little silly in photos!).

Forward vision is pretty good when I don't have the eyelids on. Adding the eyelids on does reduce the field of view a bit, but still totally workable. They're attached with a dense sort of velcro which holds well. It's pretty easy to take them on and off, though I generally just keep them on rather than carrying them with me.

Special feature: I requested some flexibility to the ears, so the maker used an experimental softer rubber-ish material in them, which I appreciated. They don't actively bounce when I walk, but I did recently do a suit swap and noticed that they do seem to wiggle a little when I shake my head, which is cute, so this worked out well. It is also helpful in case I bonk them on something, as I am a tall creature!

I gave specific feedback to the maker during construction related to the eyebrow shape, fur pattern around the eyes, whisker spot shape and positions, and shape of the cheek ruffs – all of which were revised to my expectation and came out looking excellent.

Including removable eyelids and two tongues (a blep tongue and one with coat-hanger type wire that can be bent into poses) is helpful for variety in expression.

I was thinking that I'd need to add the septum ring myself after getting the suit, but the maker added one in for me! The fact that it is made of a minky/suede material creates a nice texture continuity with the head fur, and it's a well proportioned accessory. I'm very happy with this detail.

I sent some references of fursuit teeth proportions and asked them to be somewhat large, and feel that I got average teeth proportions for the head size, which is fine but not what I'd asked for this specific detail. Admittedly my reference sheet didn't have them shown as large either.
The resin material the teeth are printed in is also starting to yellow a bit – I'm unsure if that's related to use of isopropyl spray during cleaning; it wouldn't be due to dye transfer as these aren't near any neoprene material, and the mouth is lined with a felt material.
As such, this is the only aspect of the suit I've decided to modify so far (though only reflected in one of the review photos) – I cut the glue of the upper canines and replaced them with a pair of larger 3d printed ones I picked up at a con.

Interior of the bodysuit is mostly unlined, so the texture facing inward is just the soft fabric backing of the furs. The one area that has a section of neoprene lining is the pocket sections in the thighs which hold the digitigrade padding. I have to use my hands to adjust the suit leg into the right place since the lining material will catch at my leg slightly, but this might actually help it stay in place better once on.

Overall it's quite easy to get in and out of suit. I specifically chose a front-zipper for this purpose, as I didn't want to have to rely on others to suit / de-suit.

The suit is of course warm, but decently breathable – if there's a big gust of wind or I'm standing in front of fans in a fursuit lounge I can definitely feel (and appreciate!) it through the bodysuit. For contrast, I sometimes wear a phase-change-material cooling vest to extend suiting session durations and can notice how that vest reduces the breathability.

My body is nicely hugged by the suit without being constricting. I'm moderately active, going to dances or just bouncing around, hopping on/off small ledges in con spaces or on the street, and so forth, and the seams have always held up perfectly. Haven't had to even think about them.
The only pose that makes me feel like the suit is straining / stretching slightly is if I am leaning down to put on a footpaw while having already put the bodysuit over my shoulders – and the solution to that is easy, I just put the footpaws on before lifting the bodysuit up to my shoulders and zipping it.

The only aspect that's a little frustrating is that the arm sleeves will pivot a little bit as I move around, which makes the white/red marking line not line up with the handpaws – this is a fault in my character design though, I've learned that the most fursuit friendly design would be a single color all the way around the wrists so that any arm/handpaw pivoting won't break the pattern coherency! I may try to sew on some sort of strap to run up to my hands that would keep the sleeves aligned, but still brainstorming this.

Folks have given me lots of compliments saying I'm soft to pet and hug 🙂

Special feature: The maker included a small section of the neoprene lining material sewn in as an inside breast pocket. It's able to hold my phone and/or wallet, though folks will notice an object there when petting your chest. I enjoy this feature because it allows me to have security of those resources available, but it's not -super- easy to get to which is beneficial, as it actually helps me focus on suiting and being present in the moment.
If I 'banana peel' the contents will fall out, so I do have to be mindful of that. I may sew a small strap or piece of velcro onto the top of it in the future.

The fur can be brushed into a nice smooth appearance with a safari comb. I'm still experimenting on how best to un-clump the short pile fur on the belly and butt after washes, which still looks and feels nice but isn't quite as uniform as when the suit was brand new.

When branch new, there were a few loose thread ends, and a few spots where a very tiny bit of fur poked out past the edge of a marking into an adjacent seam. I found those in my first few brushings of the bodysuit, nobody else would have been able to spot them on me from any distance. I was able to very carefully trim them off with a small pair of scissors.

I specifically sought out makers that offered a slimmer digitigrade style, and am happy with how the thigh proportions turned out. I've received unsolicited compliments on the slim digi style specifically, which is very affirming to hear considering it was a factor I prioritized!

The belly stripe to hide the zipper is a fun detail which also adds some visual interest.

The handpaws have been through several washes already and are still in good shape in regards to all the stitching, etc. The trimmed white fur around the beans on the underside is getting a tiny bit clumpy but this part of the suit gets more wear than anywhere else so that's to be expected with time.

The plush claws can wiggle left/right a little bit but don't feel at risk for coming off. The beans are a nice minky material and have just a touch of extra stuffing in/under them so they have some notable depth. They seem to have strong stitching.

The wrist opening is a bit wide for me, though I do admittedly have small wrists. It doesn't affect wearing the paws when partialing, but in full suit I have to bunch the edging together slightly in order to tuck the handpaws under the bodysuit wrists. It would have been nice to have given a wrist measurement, or had some elastic material added to the edging, to help them taper in a little bit.

And of course they are nice and soft!

The fur combs down nicely and is a consistent length with the arm sleeves.
The beans are a nice shape and good size, enough to peek out a little bit when viewing the handpaws from certain angles!

I originally wore it with a sliding belt (simple cloth + D-rings) which didn't keep the tail supported well, and its weight seemed to pull down on the bodysuit a little bit.
I've since switched to wearing a belt with a clasping style latch and that seems to help hold the weight of the tail in place and anchored in place more securely.

The belt loop attachment area is wrapped all around with fur, which can get a bit tangled as a result of the movement and friction while wearing the tail. It would be lower maintenance in this area if it was a more conventional loop, however I acknowledge that it was probably done this way to ensure that there's no visible gap between the tail base and bodysuit, so I'm okay with it.

Unfortunately the stitching on the belt loop did break while at a con recently, but the thread is pretty thick and was still attached at the end so I may have yanked on it too strongly or at a bad angle. I was able to use my roommate's sewing kit to add new stitching between the two sides and tied it onto the existing thread remnant. It has held up for the rest of the con and for several meets since then, so hopefully should stay intact going forward.

I requested the maker to add a zipper as a special feature so that I could add/remove stuffing (or experiment with inserting structural elements to make it more actively waggy), but they didn't have one on-hand when making the tail and didn't want to add it in later out of concern that hand stitching wouldn't be as strong as machine sewing it from the onset. Unfortunate, but I agreed with prioritizing durability.

Overall it hangs onto me nicely and I don't have to think about it much, which goes to show that it's well balanced and constructed well.

Small nitpick: there's a few spots of fur along the top edge (in the middle of the black+red fur section) which like to stick up just slightly, so I think there must be a seam there. They're only really noticeable to me when brushing the suit out, and it's definitely within the noise floor of fur scruffle that happens as soon as you step out into wind or start walking around, etc. so not really an issue.

They have the neoprene lining on the inside, which then attaches below a felt pad at the bottom – so they are 'sock paw' style rather than having shoes built in.
The maker asked me for my shoe size and the paws fit me comfortably, so their sizing adjustments were well executed.
I wear socks inside, so my feet can move around against the lining material a bit, but I still feel decently secure and am able to move around without having to be super careful and slow.
The felt pad is nice for cushion but doesn't provide arch support so I do take the same removable insoles that I wear with my regular shoes and pop them into the footpaws when getting into suit. With those I'm able to run around or dance for several hours as long as I can stay cool!

I got outdoor footpaws, so the bottom is a foam gym pad type material. It provides decent traction, though it's wearing a bit at the edges due to adventures outside on concrete, etc. I feel this is reasonable to expect over time. A recent photoshoot where I balanced and posed on some rocks added larger wear spots, not impacting usability, but enough that I'm going to be more mindful of wear concerns in the future.

The interior lining seems to only be attached to the fur edges at the ankle and along the foam pad at the bottom, so it will try to follow my foot a little bit when getting them on or off. This doesn't seem to be a problem for reliability as the stitching keeps everything together without issue and doesn't appear to be straining. I'm not sure if it makes it easier to clean, since you can sort of pull the lining taut, or more difficult since the lining will move around as you brush/vacuum over it.
It's not very easy to get into the bottom of them with a carpet cleaner to wash out the inner lining, but the area around the ankle can be washed moderately easily. The bottoms can be wiped down easily, though white fur near the bottom needs the carpet cleaner to get dirt out.

I did manage to poke or tear a small hole (pea sized, if that) near the top of the lining of one footpaw, not sure how. Doesn't impact usability, and doesn't seem to be getting bigger, so maybe I just poked it with something. Sad though.

Special feature (not one I specifically came up, but rather a maker specialty): The attachment method for the footpaws is a really simple elegant solution, one of my favorite features of the suit overall. There is a belt buckle attached at the top of the footpaws, and another behind the knees of the bodysuit. When putting the footpaws on, you just push/roll up the ankles of the bodysuit, click on the buckle to the footpaw, and then roll the ankles back down over them. Super convenient and easy, and avoids any issues with fur getting stuck in zippers of footpaws, while still ensuring (with a ton of margin) that there will never be a visible gap at the ankles! I added a photo showing these buckles.

I've been lifted up a handful of times and never had concerns about the footpaws coming off or shifting around since the buckles are stitched on very strongly.

They are a full length long pile fur on the ankles + top, which works fine but takes a little bit of effort to brush into looking nice. I've seen some other digi suits with shorter pile behind the ankles and would possibly request that on a future suit / if I had to do things over.
The long-pile fur extending just a little on the side of the outer toes makes the footpaws look a bit wider than they are – I might consider trimming it or slicking it down somehow in the future to see if it will make them appear more streamlined.

Digi footpaws are always going to be tricky regarding reference accuracy because you have to adapt fur markings from an anthro anatomy and project it onto a digi-illusion footpaw pattern – I should have made a variant of the ref sheet which did so explicitly.
Ideally I'd have liked to extend the red pattern to be a bit wider around the shins (to be closer to halfway around the span) and reach out more to the middle of the outer toes (though I can brush the fur on top of the footpaws outwards to somewhat achieve this visually), but didn't get a chance to give feedback during the construction of these parts. But they are pretty close to what I'd imagined, and they still look good.

The shaping of the bodysuit ankles and the footpaw padding is very well coordinated such that the bodysuit stays put over them. The bodysuit ankles reach down in length to just above the top of the footpaws, so it's somewhat of a visual pivot point such that the pattern always looks aligned well.
