Wear Satisfaction

Fits perfectly and is very comfortable. Breathes decently well. Vision is astounding. Small blind spot in the center, to be expected with a dragon.

Visual Satisfaction

Very well constructed, and shaven very well. Fur is very good quality and is very soft. Very cute expression, and matched the concept art pretty accurately. Eyes are a bit too far in, in my opinion. Hard to photograph because of that, and makes a full front-on profile look a bit crosseyed.

Wear Satisfaction

Body fits extremely well. Easy to get on and off while not being baggy or tight. Very durable and very high quality. Looks and feels amazing both being in the suit and from the outside. Being a very active suiter, I haven’t had a major popped seam at all. The front under the red scutes is lined and very comfortable. The minky scutes also make the suit extremely breathable and cool despite the thick black fur (which was requested).

Only con is how low cut the neck is. Barely fits on a hanger, and a scarf or bandana is required, else the undershirt shows by a good 2 or 3 inches.

Visual Satisfaction

Suit is very symmetrical. Everything looks and feels right. Shaving is even and the transitions are excellently done as to my specifications. Colors are spot on and were discussed in detail before the maker bought the fur.

Special Attachments and Features

Padding was included, and sewn onto a pair of spandex. It’s expertly shapped and doesn’t look unnatural at all when wearing it.

Hands and Feet

Wear Satisfaction

Hands are mishapen and floppy. Feet are comfortable and soft, but don’t provide much support. Both are pretty low cut, and the gaps are apparent when wearing the full suit. As with the whole suit, they are very durable, but the usability is limited. Both are comfortable to wear but leave a bit to be desired.

Visual Satisfaction

The feet look very nice as long the gap isn’t showing. The padding in the shins helps give it a good flow, and it looks like a very realistic digitigrade. The hands, because they’re misshapen, look a bit floppy, and the material used on the top of them is not the same as was used on the body suit. The color matches well but the texture is noticeably different.

Special Attachments and Features

The front facing zipper is hidden perfectly by the thick fur, running up the side between the scutes and the black fur. This allows me to get in the suit with no additional help from anyone. Because of it’s durability, getting in the suit takes no time at all since I don’t have to be extremely cautious when slipping into it.

Wear Satisfaction

The tail is sewn onto the body suit. Originally I wasn’t sure of this, but because of the way it was done, I couldn’t imagine it any differently. There is a seperate piece of padding that makes of the meat of the tail which is removable, and a small zipper on the bottom of the tail near the tip that allow it to be inserted and pulled out. This makes washing the suit much easier, and the overall look flows much better than a separate tail.

Visual Satisfaction

The tail is huge, and the curvature is very natural. 0 complaints.

Wear Satisfaction

I requested smaller, plush wings, that were sewn directly to the suit, which came out fantastic. They’re very floppy and cute, and also very durable.

Visual Satisfaction

The symmetry is perfect. However, they’re a bit too floppy and succumb to gravity a bit too easily. It was never specified by me to keep them propped up, so I can’t force judgement there.

Product Satisfaction

How was your concept art realized?
How satisfied are you with how closely the suit matches the concept art?
Extremely satisfied. The suit pretty much perfectly matches the character I created 8 years ago. It’s like a dream come true.

How well does everything fit together and match up?
How satisfied are you with how well everything fits together and matches up?
8/10. With how detailed the suit is, I’m extremely impressed with this new maker on how everything turned out. The colors and the attention to detail are perfect. The only gripe is the low cut neck, hands, and feet. All which should be easily fixable.

Overall Project Quality
How satisfied are you with the overall quality of your project?
Extremely satisfied. For this suit maker’s first commissioner, I was astounded by the overall quality of the suit.

Purchase Process

Initial Contact
The quote was very easy to obtain. If I recall, she got back to me the same day I sent the note on FA.

Maker Response Time
The response time was not the best. It could take upwards of 1-2 weeks for any sort of response, and even then, the updates didn’t come in very quickly. Many “I’ll have pictures” tonight went unfulfilled for very, very long periods of time.

Maker Professionalism
The maker is extremely friendly and outgoing. The attention to detail was astounding. The updates (whenever she got around to giving them) were informative and helpful.
The maker is still in college and doing the suit making in her spare time, so it’s understandable that she can’t be at my beck and call whenever I want an update or anything. However, some more communication would have been nice, and having realistic deadlines would have saved me from a lot of disappointment of going to cons suitless when I got so hyped up for having it.

Project Completion Time
The deadlines were the makers Achilles heel. There were a ridiculous amount of deadlines that were missed. Originally the ETA was supposed to be 8 weeks (which I definitely saw I overly optimistic). That was missed, but that wasn’t a big deal. But for at least 2 cons, the deadline was completely missed, leading to a lot of disappointment. The perfectionist nature of the maker shows in the amazing quality of the suit, but the reality of meeting the deadlines set by the maker left a lot to be desired.

Final Comments

Excellent quality suit, in looks and durability and overall quality.

Admittedly decent turn around of about 9 months

Very friendly and helpful attitude, willingness to fix any problems I had with the suit provided I ship it back within a year.

Hard to get an update

Some oversights on the suit, like how far cut the hands, paws, and neck should be to make sure that there is enough overlap without any gap showing.

Countless missed deadline, even shipping out extra materials to fix some of the minor flaws in the suit has taken over 3 months.
