I found out about the fursuit slots when meeting the maker at a convention. The maker was clear with what measurements they needed and how I should make the DTD. Maker CommunicationThe maker has fast response times, we got in contact pretty much immediatly and the communication was over both discord and telegram throughout the whole process. The maker was friendly and paid a lot of attention to understand what I wanted the suit to be like. They treated me like a friend but also kept a professional attitude. I was clearly informed about the expected work times and what factors affected the makers ability to work on the suit as well as when the suit was expected to be finished. Project Completion TimeThere was 1 fullsuit ahead of me in the queue and I was made aware of the progress of that suit as well. The maker informed me the suit would not be fully finished in time for an upcoming convention but we mutually agreed that I would pick it up before it was fully finished to be able to use it at the convention, it will be fully finished at a later date. The maker worked hard to finish most of it in time for the convention and then I personally picked it up. Overall Project QualityThe suit has a really nice quality, extremely durable and comfortable to wear. It looks super cute and I'm happy with the result, I am really happy with the price. I think the suit will last a long time, the different pieces match really well even if there are some small but hardly noticable colour differences between fur and minky parts that share the same colour. Together all the pieces give a unified look that brings the character to life. It's the makers 7th suit and the first insect and striped suit they made, so I didn't have clear expectations but I'm happy with how it turned out. Components Head Wear SatisfactionThe head fits really well and is comfortable to wear. Head is well ventilated and allows me to be out of breath through high energy activities while wearing it and still breathing comfortably. The head is lined with neoprene and sport mesh. The vision is actually really good although there is a small blind spot in the middle so I turn my head if I need to look closely at something. Cannot see someones face if I'm talking with them and facing them head on. Walking up stairs I cannot see if someone is walking down them infront of me. The head feels light too so it's not tiring to wear for extended periods of time. Visual SatisfactionHead is mostly symmetrical with only small details that you wont really notice that are a bit out of place. The right ear is a bit more tilted back compared to the other ear which is the only noticable thing at a distance. The antenna are asymmetrical but it is a design choice. The shaving is well done, the only visible seam between the same fur type is on the ears and it's not too easily noticable. Transitions between fur types are nice and the face looks evenly shaved. The fur feels really soft and high quality. The markings are sharp and it's easy to brush. The eye liner is felt and feels nice but there are small irregularities between the two eyes. I am very satisfied with the overall appearance of the head, it has follow-me eyes and mostly gives cute expressions. The head matches my reference sheet very well, all markings are present and the head shape is just what I was looking for. There are some differences that we agreed on such as giving the head small eyelashes as it looks even more cute. One-Piece Body Wear SatisfactionThe bodysuit fits me well, is comfortable and allows for good, high energy movements. It's maybe a bit loose around the belly and tight in the forearms but not to the point where it's a problem. The suit is made using a duct tape dummy so it fits my body well. The seams seem really durable and there has been no damage to it despite high energy use. The bodysuit is not lined, there are some construction marks on the inside but they do not bleed and I don't see them most of the time when looking inside and I don't feel they detract from the suit in any way. This is the only bodysuit I've tried, it's hot but not too hot, I can dance in it and wear it for hours without fear of heat exhaustion as long as I stay hydrated. Bear in mind I have not used it in a warm environment such as a summer day, excluding raves. Standing in front of a fan quickly cools it down. Visual SatisfactionThe symmetry is good from the outside. All the markings are present and match the character design, some brown stripes could be thicker but that is a minor difference. The bodysuit is not shaved in any area. The fur is just as good as on the head, really soft, high quality and nice to the touch. Easy to brush and the markings don't bleed. I am really happy with the colours and materials used, the brightest colour is not the one I initially had in mind but another was chosen due to time constraints and the original choice being unavailable, the substitute fur works well and looks close enough to the one originally envisioned. The green colour was hard to get a hold of but turned out great. The bodysuit features padding on the legs and also padding on the chest creating a cute shape. Other than previously mentioned small differences the suit matches the character design perfectly. Hands Wear SatisfactionThe hands fit well, are comfortable to wear and easy to put on. They allow for less movement than my other handpaws as it feels like they have more stuffing in the beans. They don't slide off easily even with swinging my arms around. The quality is good and they have not broken in any way. They are not lined and so my fingers make contact with the stuffing but it's planned to line them in the future, I picked up the suit before it was fully finished to be able to wear it at a convention and will have it finished at a later date. Visual SatisfactionThe paws are symmetrical and match the character design. The shaving is even with some seams visible in the green fur. The green fur is somewhat rougher than the rest but it was the only option available for the desired colour, it can still be brushed easily. The paw pads are minky, they are soft and nice to the touch. There are no extra markings in accordance with the design. Tail Wear SatisfactionThe tail is comfortable and can be used with any belt desired. I can easily put it on myself for partialing or fullsuiting and I like the feel of having it there. Of course it can bump into things when moving because of it's size. It's very durable and can be roughly handled without any fear of breaking. The tail is padded with polyfill and a small foam piece at the base supports it's weight and gives it the right look. Visual SatisfactionThe tail is symmetrical, the stinger is centered and matches the character design. The tail is not shaved, the stinger is minky. The fur is smooth and easily brushed. The colours match the design and feel nice. The tail is supposed to be pretty rigid to my body and it is, but I can wiggle it a bit if I want. Feet Wear SatisfactionThe feet fit well, are comfortable to wear and allow for good movement. They are not detachable from the suit at the moment but zippers will be added at a later date. They are tricky to put on due to them lacking lining but they will also be lined in the future. As previously mentioned one paw pad fell off but was easy to glue back on and the maker offered to do it. Other than that the feet seem durable and have not broken. Visual SatisfactionThe feet have good symmetry, there are no markings and it matches the character design. The shaving is even, the transition between the fur lengths looks good. The fur is nice and can be easily brushed. The paw pads are made of EVA foam, they are detachable outdoor paws that look nice for their purpose.
