Very easy. They have a form on their website and respond to them in batches, making sure to respond to them before the application period ends.
THE COMMUNICATION WITH THIS MAKER IS PHENOMINAL. Every single step of the way they checked in with me to ask about each part of the suit and making sure it was to my satisfaction and allowed me to give my input. We first communicated via email but moved to discord dms full time. They have a discord server which is open to commissioners and patreon members and they post each step of every suit and kigu so you know where they are at in the queue. They treated me very well and clearly showed every step they did every day they made work on the suit.
6 months. I was aware of my queue position the whole time. I was able to see other suits being worked on every day. At the time they worked on parts in batches so they would do all the paws, all the feet, all the tails, all the heads for a set of commissions which lead to a longer time than expected, and they had just turned to being a full time fursuit maker so they were managing their workload. The shipping was within the US and they asked how much I wanted to pay for the speed to get it for Anthrocon.
Overall the project was great. I have only had small issues with the shoes but I have worn the suit to many cons and outings since getting it. I have not had any issues with the seams or visual looks. It is easy to wear, good quality, great expression. It was well worth the price paid. The pieces together look great and stand up to time. It fits well and is consistent with the maker's style.
The head is very comfortable to wear. The maker asks you for your head measurements, including your eyes and head circumference which makes the base perfectly fitting for visibility. It was lined with spandex, they asked which pattern from a website so I had a lot to choose from. The nose is pickable. I was able to request a fan to place in the muzzle and they provided me one that works well and has velcro to add it in to make it have good ventilation. I also asked for a pocket in the head to store an air tag or my room key. It is so incredibly comfortable to wear and I do not overheat with it on. The visibility is amazing even with the bangs in the way of the eyes, it has the usual middle blindspot but otherwise enough to walk alone and watch a movie.
I specifically requested bangs to cover my eyes and they were able to make it magnetic so I could remove them if I wanted. Every step of the way I was able to input the shape of the head base, the eye shape, eye paint, patterning of the fur, ear placement, and they even carefully modeled the horns for me and made them removable with screws, and painted them with a wood grain texture. They also modeled an ear tag per my reference sheet and printed and added a magnet for it. There are also eyelids. They meticulously cut the fur and brushed it out for the leafy layered hair look and it works great. All of the furs were from Bigz and they were great at color matching. It is very symetrical and good shaving. It looks very good and even. I was able to request the expression and it matches the concept art well as they worked with me to make a reference sheet for the suit and traced it to make the shapes.
The hands are lined with spandex which is really light weight and makes it easy to get on and off and gets them to dry faster, and it is easy to machine wash. They fit me perfectly. They are hoof hands and they have finger escapes. They don't slide off. They are really durable.
The material is bigZ and it is sooooo soft and pretty. The colors matched my reference perfectly. My reference sheet has individual hands but I went with the three finger approach and it looks really great. They are more round than sharp but I love them.
I have padded legs with suspenders and zip on feet. They are comfortable to wear. The suspenders were a bit long for me as I am a shorter legged person. I was able to shorten the straps myself. It has a reinforced hole for the tail to go through with a belt I wear with the suit. It has lining for the padding so it can be easily machine washed after removing the stuffing. It runs warm but that is how it is with padded legs. I am able to run in the suit pants no problem. I was also able to request hidden pockets which are useful to hold my phone, keycard, battery for my fan, or stickers to hand out.
It looks great, it follows the reference sheet. It is symetrical and not much shaving. The material is from Bigz and the maker worked with me to pick out colors that matched the most. It feels really nice and easy to brush. The legs are well padded and they worked with me to make the silhouette for it, but it did not come out super sharp but I still love them.
The tail has a foam backing and two straps for the belt. It has a hidden zipper to unstuff it for washing. It is durable and fits well. It can be difficult to weave the belt in to the fursuit and onto my pants belt bands though.
It looks great, they cut the shape for the leaves and brush them and layered them. It works well proportionally to my fursuit. It is wavy and moves well with me.
The feet are okay. I have had instances where the shoes slip out of place or make it awkward and I have to drag my feet. They have built in slip on shoes in them with a strap to keep them in place but the strap did not work super well. They are good in the fact that with the pants you cannot see my ankles. They are easy to get on and can be zipped to the legs. I have not had any issues with durability. They are good to wear other than the shoes slipping at times.
They did their best to match the reference sheet. I am not super satisfied with the front hoof shape. I worked with them to get the back of the hooves to look more angled to hide the straight leg and added the fun dew claws which are great. The shave is even and the material is bigZ so it stands up to time. They are still good overall.
The horns were special where they sculpted them using blender and added screws to them. After it was printed it was added to the fursuit head and was able to remove and add to the suit easily for storage and transportation. I love the horns a lot and they spent a good amount of time painting them with a wood grain.
