Astris gave me instructions for self-repair, or if i wasn't confident doing it myself then she would fix it up for me at Furdu 2026, which she done without charge, though the eyes seemed to still move around a little bit, even after repairs. I found out about her at FurDu 2025 and while looking for potential makers she showed up on an external website and I followed it to her own website. she sent a reply to the quote via e-mail a few days later. Maker CommunicationCommunication with Astris was beyond easy. After inital contact through e-mail she directed me to her telegram and we continued communications there. Any questions i had she always responded quickly, with the longest wait i believe was only a couple hours. She was very polite and pleasant to talk to, and gave me very accurate descriptions of what top expect and how the process would play out. Project Completion TimeI am beyond satisfied with the completion time. After paying off the suit completely, i was placed into the queue, and by the time it my turn the suit was completed in a few days and shipped off to me. I was shown most parts of the process and asked if I would like anything changed before she continued to the next step. In hindsight, there might have been a couple things I would have changed but didn't ask due to me being a bit anxious and feeling like a burden, but when i was specifically asked if I wanted a change she was very accommodating and made those changes no problem. Overall Project QualityFor my first fursuit I have to say I am very happy to have gone with Astris for my suit. The aesthetics of the suit are amazing and fit my character extremely well. Aside from a few minor cosmetic issues with the head to do with symmetry i think the suit overall is great. Components Head Wear SatisfactionThe head is very nicely padded and lined inside with lycra and sits very comfortably. I requested the head be made on the smaller side and as such there is not much room on the inside (which I was fully aware of and am 100% okay with), so the interior fully wraps around my head, with my nose, mouth and chin fitting snugly into the mouth opening of the head. Having little to no space on the inside means I cannot move my jaw very much, though I can still move it enough to speak properly and clearly, so it is not personally a problem for me. Ventilation overall is lacking due to my head filling out most of the interior, though this is probably less to do with the maker and more to do with my request to have a smaller head. It is however extremely easy to breathe, as air passes through the mouth straight into mine without issue. The eyes of course provide some ventilation as well, though not much. The vision in the suit (from what I can tell) is phenomenal. It made me question what I have been told by other suiters in the past. As the head has a very small interior, the eyes of the suit sit just a couple millimeters away from my eyelashes. With the tiny amount the eyes can flex, they barely come in contact with my lashes, and as such my eyes are extremely close to the eyes of the head. My vision in the suit extends almost as far as my horizontal peripheral allows out of the suit, with the vertical vision also being very good if not using the removable eyelids that came with the head, and even then vision is perfectly serviceable with no impact to my horizontal vision. Please know that I had never worn a fursuit head prior to owning mine, so I do not have any other examples to compare mine with from personal experiences. Visual SatisfactionVisually I am very happy with how the head turned out, with a few small issues. The head is mostly symmetrical, though one of the horns don't seem to sit at the same angle as the other, with the right horn laying down at a lower angle, one of the markings underneath the right eye sits a tiny bit too close to the eye, and the line between the eyes where the light fur transitions into dark fur is verrrrrrry slightly angled and not 100% level. These are not very noticeable unless looking straight head on, however. Otherwise everything else looks fine. The shaving of the fur is very nicely done. there doesn't seem to be any uneven shaving and the transition of short to long hair is done amazingly well. The materials used feels great. The fur is very soft and easily brushed. No complaints here. The foam used to build the head feels very sturdy and durable too. The colours of the suit match almost perfectly with the reference I provided. I expected to have a different shade or two, though somehow the colours happened to be pretty much perfect matches. The expression of the head looks very natural. The follow-me eyes work fantastically with the magnetic eyeblanks that can be taken in and out to make a half-closed eyelid expression, which completely changes the look of the head. I plan on getting other eyelids for more expressions in the future. The likeness of the suit compared to the ref sheet I provided is amazing. I did not expect Astris to do such a good job on this front. She got the snout shape perfect along with the lip-spike-fang-thingies and general head-shape. The ears could have been placed a bit closer to the front but other than that I am very happy with how the head looks. Hands Wear SatisfactionThe hands are fine. They are a standard 5-finger design, with one colour fur with black pawpads and small fabric claws, and cuffed around the wrists. They have a stretchy fabric lining on the backhand side which makes them very comfortable and easy to move my hands around in. all in all, they are comfortable, maneuver well and stay on without sliding off very nicely. They go just far enough down my wrist that I can put any shirt sleeves over them to hide any of my skin that might show. I would have preferred if they were less puffy, smaller and/or more form-fitting but they work for what they are. Visual SatisfactionPerfectly symmetrical, they match the design perfectly since they are only a single colour and the fur is shaven very evenly. Not much else to say on this front. Tail Wear SatisfactionThe tail fits perfectly. It is fitted with belt loops and the tail looks very naturally placed when wearing.the way it is shaped makes it hang out just a little bit which allows for easier movement when it is on. The tail is very thick and long and feels very durable. I cannot find any faults with the tails build whatsoever. Visual SatisfactionThe tail is pretty much perfect in almost every way i can think of. The minimal markings on the tail are placed perfectly symmetrical, with the white fur on the underside running perfectly straight down the tail. The shaving on the fur is perfectly done, the entire length having even fur throughout. The only tiny nitpick i can think of is maybe the primary colour fur could have been slightly shaved around the dark markings to have it stand out a bit better? Otherwise I don't have any other problems. The materials used are wonderful, the tail feels very sturdy and durable, with the fur being luxuriously soft and easily brush-able. The tuft of fur at the end seems to flop around a bit as it is more of a foam-based tuft somewhat detached from the main body of the tail, but it doesn't really cause any problems and feels just as strong as the rest of the tail. As I said before, the colours match the reference perfectly. The tail hangs down and touches with the floor just at the tip, which is the perfect length for my character. It still allows the tail to move freely and not drag too much along the floor, so on this front everything is perfect. The markings are spot on.
