They had a general price range for their suit heads, so I commissioned them on through Instagram when they were open and told me the exact price when I sent my reference sheet. Contact throughout the entire process was made through Instagram DMs.
They were very quick when responding back to messages. They did send WIP pictures often but didn't send too many \ towards the end (which is why I didn't know they included air brushing on all their suits until the very end). Their primary language isn't English so it was hard communicating what I specifically want sometimes. But now I heard they have a manager that helps translate between client and the maker. They treated me well and was very professional!
I was satisfied because they took less than 8 months to complete, but they did say it would be done months quicker and in time for a con I had earlier in the year. They also said they don't work with deadlines so I didn't mind much when it was done in august.
I am very happy with how it turned out. It is EXCELLENT in quality and I'll definitely be wearing this suit for a very long time without worries of it being worn down too quickly. To me it is one of their best work (obviously I'm biased lol).
Overall exceeded my expectations. The head base is made of hard resin. It contains a zipper on the back, movable jaw, removable eyelids, and removable tongue. It is partially lined on the inside and but has exposed hinges (the springs that come with the hinges fall off easily so I don't include them, it doesn't make too big of a difference). It's very snug and fits my head perfectly (but maker never asked for measurements) also very comfy and nothing stabs me.
Blind spots and vision aren't too bad. Ventilation on the other hand is a problem for me. The only ventilation is from the small opening in the nose and the mouth when you open it (and since it is a moving jaw, it only opens when you open your mouth). And since I already have breathing problems I couldn't handle wearing it for too long, but ever since I found out I could add a small portable fan inside it made things MUCH better. I could last practically forever if I wanted to.
Absolutely no popped seams or holes even till this day, great craftmanship. And the problems I encountered with the suit are super easy to fix. Also the shaving on the head is PERFECT and 100% even.
The eyes are follow-me eyes and painted on nicely and look sturdy.
The head came with airbrushing which I never asked for but I assume that is what the maker likes to add for their style. Me on the other hand didn't like how it turned out so a year later I found out I can easily and gently wash it off with a damp paper towel and she looks much cleaner and I'm super happy with the result!
The nose seems to me made of molded rubber and put in place by hot glue. This wasn't a good idea because it fell off at a con I attended a few days after receiving it. It was an easy fix though. Gorilla glue and/or E3000 glue did the trick.
The head is 99% symmetrical, the only thing that throws it off is the slightly crooked horn on her head (which could've been affected when being shipped because it was bended a certain way when it arrived). Other than that, it's amazing.
The magnetic removable eyelids are a nice touch and I love them! But in my experience the magnets are not strong enough for me to trust them to stay on for a long period of time.
They definitely followed the concept art correctly and I'm definitely satisfied (especially for the price I paid for).
