Initial ContactTwitter

Maker CommunicationAll contact was through twitter.

She always got back to me in a timely manner when I had a question of concern.

The bodysuit was a remake of the old bodysuit which meet there wasn't too much in terms of approval. I didn't receive any work in progress shots but saw updates on progress through their patreon. I wasn't too concerned about not receiving WIPs due to it being a remake of a suit she used to own.

Project Completion TimeTook just under a year to receive from time of full payment (about 10.5 months). Had no set due date, I was put at the end of her cue in the "side projects" category which she told me before I even paid and I was totally okay with this. Was done in time for the con I go to every year which was a huge plus!

Overall Project Quality10/10. I've always loved her work and Killjoy was a huge dream suit of mine. I'm honored to own him. Very happy with the new bodysuit. Only modification I had to make were minor preferences with the belt loops. I did resize the chest/stomach area a bit because I lost weight after sending the ducttape dummy, but that's not the makers fault and I was confident enough to do the modifications myself. I sent her a draw over of where I was thinking of removing some of the extra fabric asking if she had any better suggestions and she said what I was planning would work just fine!

Components

Head

Wear SatisfactionHead was made in 2016 and was a personal suit of the maker before I got it in 2019. Flaws were disclosed before purchasing it. The wear is absolutely perfect, not too tight, head isn't too heavy, vision and ventilation are great!
Lined with lycra.

Visual SatisfactionPerfect. He's symmetrical, even shaving, markings are perfect. Fur is very soft.

One-Piece Body

Wear SatisfactionAbsolutely amazing. The heart and the spider are reinforced with a fusible interfacing so no worries there. Stitching seems strong across the whole bodysuit. I've done dance comps and floor wars in this suit and I don't fear any seam popping.

Neck is lined with a custom lycra.

Attached hands are lined with a with a white lycra to keep the stuffing in place. Fingers have removable polyfil pillows to keep their shape.

Lower leg/feet padding is attached to the bodysuit with a quilted fabric. There's a zipper in each foot to remove the polyfil for easy cleaning.

Thigh padding is one big polyfil pillow. Only "flaw" was that there wasn't any belt loops to help hold the padding up so it felt like it was slipping down and out of place sometimes. I was easily able to add belt loops though. This is more of a preference though.

Tail is attached to the bodysuit. Has an internal beltloop to help hold it up. Stuffing is also removable via a zipper.

Main zipper is lined to prevent fur from getting caught in it which is awesome.

I can get my human hands released from their prison via zippers on the forearm. This means I cannot get in and out of suit without help, but I've never had a problem asking somebody for help and them not being able to figure it out.

Seems like super light sharpie was used on the markings and nothing has run or bled so far! Bodysuit has been washed 2 or 3 times since receiving already.

Airflow is great I can wear the suit for hours and not overheat with the appropriate precautions like breaks and water! Obviously it's warm because it's a fursuit but nothing too drastic.

Visual SatisfactionEverything is symmetrical. Love the fur pile lengths chosen on all the parts.

Character was created by the owner of The Phoenix Nest. I commissioned a 2nd bodysuit after I had an accident with the 1st bodysuit and ruined it (100% not the makers fault!). She normally doesn't do just bodysuit commissions but was willing to take on my project. Colors match perfectly to the head and the reference sheet. A perfect new version of the bodysuit in her updated style.
